Yeah, in one of the earlier drafts I had it two slotted I guess that was the way to go?

-You can get a tiny bit more damage out of Grav Well by swapping the Heca Acc/Rech for the Damage one (you will still have enough recharge to fit in your chain easy, and your acc should be fine, especially with perma mire).
-As you will probably never use Ebon Eye, I would take that Apoc Damage and put it in Shadow Blast (replace the Acc/Dam/Rech with it in SBlast)
Hrmm, I've noticed the recharge being *just* right on my attack chain, with little to no overlap. I will take your word for it and try it out, though. I have been using S Blast>Eye to pick off runners at the end of groups, but I can always just put a Nucleo in there instead.

edit: Do you think losing the accuracy slotting would still leave it good enough against an AV as the only Mire target? I'm also thinking of switching out assault for tactics, so maybe that will do the trick too?

To be honest, I haven't tried out soloing an AV yet... That's on the agenda for tomorrow. If my survivability doesn't turn out to be enough without the shields, how would you suggest working them in? There's really no way I can think of doing it without messing something up.

I think I'm going to stick with the recharge IO in stygian circle, it's nice to have it up a bit quicker in a pinch.

    Thanks for the feedback

*I used to be a human form player myself, but it wasn't a monster build like TwoHeadedBoys, and it was just too slow paced for me.
You can be a monster on any budget. Has Dechs taught you nothing?
  5. I would be open for starting off the fun with some Warshade Heaven in AE as a pre-game... As for the actual TF, it might be thematically appropriate (and convenient) if we did a Moonfire, as it is also the WST!

If we get enough to run multiple teams, 1 high level and 1 or more mixed then that would be cool and fine by me, that is what the tanker tuesday folks do and it works well.

Alternately, if there is a general desire for an all kheld apex or tin mage I would suggest scheduling a 1 time event seperate from Kheldian fridays.

As for a suggested event - an Admiral Sutter would be fun, it has a wide level range, is a fun TF and is great for XP. I personally prefer the villainside version (Mortimer Kal) but it appears a lot of our kheldian population are boring old heroes, so blueside events seem to be the best choice.

We've been changing it up quite a bit for this reason. We alternate between end game and low level content so that a wider range of people are able to participate. I know at least one other person who has joined us plays a Villain Warshade also, and end game TF's tend to be the only co op ones.

    Aww.
  7. Softcapped Shield/Dark Tank with just so's (not that the secondary matters)

47.5% defense to all positions (Yes, I know Stealth's Defense suppresses in combat. I have it set to "while attacked")

Shouldn't be gimpy at all, even... Especially considering free players can use Hami-o's (I think?)

edit: Cytoskeleton's might even get better enhancement values for less slots.

Might be something to look into.
heh, maybe you missed my last post but the endurance issues were coming from lack of endurance slotting in Orbiting Death-- It's taking care of now, I should've caught it earlier.

    -Curious
The goal is to let orbiting death and pets do my aoe damage while I focus my attack chain on bosses/debuffers/etc (barring the use of Unchain when it's up.) I have enough recharge to maintain a high DPS single target chain (thanks Microcosm!)

Notice the amounts of defense I have to positions vs. s/l. Sure, the ~20% positional defense is nice to have for exotic types and that's why it's there, but the 35% s/l means that I will be beyond the softcap to most enemies' attacks with one small purple (not that the softcap is as important with hardcapped resists, but still there isn't always Eclipse food around.)

edit/update: I'm on Beta now doing some playing around. I noticed that I had two Nucleo's in Orbiting death instead of a Nucleo and an Endurance reduction. I changed that to match the build I posted, and decided to give Relativity Be Damned a spin. I set up a "target Tarantula Mistress>exec Gravity Well" Macro, and for the first time ever my Warshade is able to solo Arachnos on 54x8 w/bosses... I'm feeling pretty good right now.

And I just noticed you redacted your defense comment.

No? I never said that was a problem. I always do that in my builds... It just seemed you were under the impression that his stealthing ability was somehow related to taking the invisibility pool, so I pointed out that probably wasn't the case.

edit: Perma Hasten isn't all you need on a Warshade build, by the way. There's absolutely nothing wrong with building your recharge past that point. My last Tri Form build had over 180% Global recharge.

Now he's still got Perma Hasten, he's still got Grant Invis for pets, he still has invisibility through Sprint + Shadow Cloak (and better invisibility than Invis grants) and he now has one extra power he can take.

The difference on his recharge for fluffies without the extra LOTG mule is negligible if he goes that route. 74.7 seconds instead of 73 seconds with his Perma Hasten.

Stone already suggested using Vengeance as the last place for an LOTG, he saw it and said thanks.

    VIP Server?

Yeah, I was thinking of moving/making some characters there and it would be nice to have some familiar people to play with. Count me in.
  15. Pretty much what Stone said. There are some more things I would do differently, but one of the great things about Warshade builds is the amount of diversity they allow for.

Pretty sure the Invisibility Pool is there for LOTG Mules. Grant Invisibility can also be useful for Extracted Essences.
  16. ***Editing my OP, as your post brought to my attention that Absolute Amazement wasn't included in it when it should have been. I was doing some last minute changes before posting, deciding where to put it, and I ultimately decided to put it into grav emanation (leaving the proc in Inky) since stupefy has a better endurance value***

Thanks for your time... But yeah, Provoke is pretty important to me. Pets are the main source of my DPS and I like to use all the tools available to keep them alive for as long as possible. The extra spot for the 5th LOTG is nice, but for me Provoke is too valuable a tool to lose. Maybe I'll change my mind at some point...

I guess the extra defense slot in Vengeance isn't really needed, so I'll consider moving that somewhere else. I'm not sure how I feel about two-slotting stygian circle and health on a build that's already hard up for slots. After I caught the mistake I made in my OP and put Absolute Amazement back where it belonged, our builds only have a difference of ~3% recharge, that's without me losing provoke and you having the extra LOTG (The taunt set I used provides a 5% bonus)

As for money not being an object, that's only because my Warshade is pretty much the only character I play, my Peacebringer being my second most played gets about a third of the play time (and there are regulars on the Kheldian board who can confirm this ) so I devote about 99% of my cash flow into this build.

Another edit: I noticed your slotting for Eclipse. I guess you aren't aware of the relatively new discovery made on the boards, wherein Two Nucleo's and Two Common Recharge IO's let you cap Resistance with only 5 targets while retaining very good accuracy to boot... It's the best slotting for Eclipse out there (though it doesn't show in Mid's)
  17. I've been seriously considering switching to a human form build once I finish up collecting the last 'ingredients' IO wise. I put together a build that I was very happy with, and spent the better part of the afternoon running around beta with it... Let me tell you, I was impressed. I soloed every enemy group the Newspaper threw at me on 54x8 with bosses, notably Malta, never using a single purple, orange, or red inspiration. Orbiting Death was a thing of beauty, I never expected it to destroy stuff like it did.

First of all, this build definitely destroys hard bosses WAY faster than my tri form build, and with much more safety. I was able to kill a level 54 Zeus Titan who was all alone without Eclipse or Mire active... It felt pretty good to be able to stand there and just beat him into submission.

There was one problem though. I was absolutely devouring blue inspirations. Devouring them, I say. My attack chain was pretty much G Well>S Blast>E Drain>S Blast... But Gravity Well and Essence Drain were giant endurance drains, let me tell you. That on top of running toggles that are helping to keep me alive and not having Stygian Circle food against single hard targets (the main and very prominent weakness in my tri form builds, a big part of the inspiration for the switch) left me sucking wind a couple times.

So anyways, I'm going to post up the build. The survivability is ungodly, (typed defenses go up by about 5% in game... Mids is only showing positional defense from Shadow Cloak) the recharge is just right, and I'm really pretty happy with all of the enhancement values (aside from the aforementioned endurance issues against ST's.) Any help/ideas for my minor hitch would be appreciated... I really wanna get this thing right ahead of time so I can be good to go on live when I finish buying the last items.

  19. I've been all over the place about this, I know, but I think I have finally settled on a Human Form build I want to begin working towards when i21 comes out. I was going to go Tri Form, but I just like this build too much to not start work on implementing it (I still need one and a half purple sets for my Warshade before I even start on this, for the record... But it's next in line.)

There is literally nothing I see wrong with this build. I'll run down some quick stats and then you can decide if you want to give it a look or not.

-167.5% Global Recharge (Perma Light Form and some breathing room)
    -85% Resistance to s/l/f/c/e/n
    -77.9% Resistance to Toxic (85% w/Essence Boost)

  21. The way I see it is they're getting everything right before Freedom launches... Heck, it's not like the game is going down for days at a time. I'm pretty sure Paragon City will be safe for a few hours without us around.
  22. Pretty much agree with Stone, but also see where the OP is coming from to a point. While I hardly consider taking Clarion on an AT that has no other route to reliable status protection (one that is required to live in melee to boot) to be any of the things the OP said it was, I do think it's understandable to *rolls eyes* when people brag about all the awesome stuff their characters can do with barrier, Ion, and Lore Pets galore.
  23. I'm debating between Claws/Fire Brute on the Demon Farm or a Kin Defender on the Statesman's Farm for my free account to help level my own alts if the need arises.

Game over. You win the thread.

Don't tell me...Do you get to be Buzz Lightyear?

Congrats on the streak of luck, I hope it works out for you..
