Quote:Hardly a waste. The permanent form of Rebirth with +Regen would complement a Resistance-based Peacebringer and benefit a team, which is not an unusual idea considering they can take Glowing Touch already. Technically, a perma-Light PB doesn't need any of those Destinies much, so you can choose by concept or personal preference.
Clarion will still be a help against mez heavy enemies... LF doesn't grant complete status protection. Barrier would probably be the one you'd get the most mileage out of, though. Defense tends to be more helpful than regen to a resist-heavy set. -
If you have enough recharge for Perma Light Form, Reform Essence/Essence Boost should be up more often than you need them anyways... That's not even taking the Dwarf heal into account if you have forms. Seems like an awful waste to use Rebirth as your primary destiny power. Barrier and Clarion are far more useful.

Ohh, I think I'm going to try to come for the LRSF.
I see lots of purple doom in the album from your ITf... *high fives the purple doom*

You're making these broad statements that are in no way relevant to the mechanical changes made for Peacebringers. Please specifically address your concerns.

Quote:You seem to be the type of person that prompted me to post in this thread. I'm sorry if you were unable to build a viable Peacebringer without perma-Light, but it's really not the only way.
Uhh, I never said it was the only way, I'm just saying that the new way is far superior and there are no negative attributes or drawbacks whatsoever. -
Quote:Why do you insist that there's a problem? I like what I'm currently doing better. My survivability is fine, thank you.
Because there is no way that the recent changes could in any way alter the performance of your Peacebringer in a negative way. The only issue could be your build.
edit: I guess looking at your build might be jumping the gun a little--- Could you be specific about whatever problems you seem to be encountering? -
Quote:Like I said, I have nothing against perma-Light, and didn't say anything about its performance. It just didn't suit my playstyle, and it might be a mistake for everyone to think it will be the only way to go.
If your playstyle is contingent upon having rare survivability (and a crash to boot,) and insubstantial damage output I could see the changes interfering. Otherwise, I am stumped. If you could post up the build you were using, I'm really sure that the problems could be identified. Changes happen, and in this case they're certainly needed. You'll find that modifying your approach will ultimately do nothing but better your character's performance. -
Quote:The second question should be: is it worth it? People seem to think so, but after playing a perma-Light, I found that I preferred my current build on Live. I'm not saying anything against it, just that sometimes it might look better on paper.
Maybe the issues are more with your build than the changes made. There is literally no negative impact that the last changes could have on player performance aside from not being able to move for a couple of seconds. -
Quote:Just the patrons, but that includes a pet in all of them, gloom in soul, shatter armor with -res in mace, and an AoE immob with -kb in mu.
I would honestly never use the pets, but the -res would be nice. I only see that in Leviathan though, and it would be hard to work in the Immob cone in a lot of places for me. Granted, I feel Gravimetric Snare should be made into a cone anyways, so.. All in all, I think I'd rather have the Defender pools. I'm assuming the -res power is on a long recharge and it comes at the cost of taking a power with a function that one of our primary powers should have.
edit: Just noticed a -res attack in Mace also, but it looks like a single target attack also on a long recharge. -

I've always thought that Kheldian Human powers should have filled completely different roles than their forms. Support for Human PBs and Control for Human Shades. So that each of the 3 forms were really unique from each other. (Obviously it's years too late for that to happen.)
I was referring to the epic pools.I'd certainly have room in my Human Form builds for a Scorpion Shield.

Quote:So, if I'm understanding you, tactics is a set mule not intended to be turned on, so the reticule +percept actually has a purpose 'cause it works while you have the power turned off? Hmm. Interesting build choice. Things like that are why I copy builds rather than make them.
Right, tactics is never run. The perception IO is for seeing stealthy foes, though. It seems you're confusing it with the Kismet IO. -

If we got access to defender pools I'd be in heaven.

Quote:The ONLY difference its level provides is the point at which the IO can be slotted.
Right, I'm speaking more in terms of monetary value, ie: Would it be worth more on the market at a lower level.
edit: To clarify, once again, that I don't plan to sell it. I just figured if it was worth more at a lower level in terms of inf. that I might as well get it at said level, just because. -
I've been saving Villain merits for quite a while for the Gladiator's Armor 3% Defense/TP Protection IO and I'll be getting the last one tomorrow. Now, I don't plan to sell it- I've spent so long saving for it to be used in a build. I am still wondering though if it is more valuable at levels lower than 50, just to get the most bang for my merits.

Quote:Numina is one of the easiest to speed run though - very few missions and only 1 of them a kill all. If you can coordinate the hunt missions well, it can go pretty fast.
Mind you, I hope they eventually re-work all the signature TF's so that it isn't as much of a pain to get the TFC badge but Numina is probably the last one they need to do.
I'm not very fond of having to speed through TF/SF's, I prefer the alternative of playing shorter and more engaging content. -
Quote:I wasn't taking incarnates into account (and I was counting the recharge from hasten in the 150% total)My build has 87% recharge from IO'sets, 2 slotted hasten, and T4 Spiritual Core Paragon and 2 rechargers plus some resistance boosters in LF.
Unless I did a misread new LF will have 300 second recharge and 90 sec. duration, what I've got will take recharge below 90 seconds -
Booo, no Numina.
I hate the early game, 30 mission long, ancient TF's.
*chants* Apex! Apex! Apex! -
Quote:The build I've designed has perm hasten/light form and softcapped S/L defense while in human form. Squid is retained but is mainly a mule for two rectified recticles in the nova power itself and it's beam attacks have only procs installed, no extra slots. Dwarf is both a mule for IO but would be functional in battle. Transforming to either mode drops defense for S/L to about 30% and reverting to human form will mean reactivating certain powers to restore full defense. OR simply remember the forms are mules and do not transform.
it is a tradeoff, the physical durability of dwarfmode augmented by lightform with lower defense or the firepower of squid with lower defense, or remain in human form for balance of resist/defense and attack powers. Egads as I sit back and think about this, I realize I just basically built Ultraman Tiga.
I'm trying to design a defense capped perm lightform human form only but so far that's still in the proto design phase.
Alpha is T4 Spiritual Core, 5 LOTG recharge boosters, 2 slotted hasten and assorted other IO sets only one of which is purple, the +3 def proc from the PVP set is not in this as I don't like spending 2 billion for an extra 3% defense, but I'm funny that way. I'll see about posting the build later.
Perm lightform without hasten? Possible but defense would likely take an unacceptable drop as well as require at least 3 purple sets, still working on that but not sure I'd want the defense drop.
tl;dr
Bare minimum for perma LF should be three slotted Hasten, 150% global recharge, and ED capped recharge in LF itself.
