    Human Form PB

I personally don't really like the superprocing, I think you could get more mileage out of your build slotting the full purple sets and topping each of your attacks off with the -res proc.

A big part of the appeal Human Form only has for me is the massive amounts of defense you can build- Resistance is great but it will only get you so far. I feel like your survivability would be an issue if you planned on soloing tough content, ie: 54x8 Arachnos/Malta/Soloing AV's.

Slotting full purple sets will also get you more recharge which can never hurt. Since money doesn't seem to be an issue for you, have you seen my Human Form PB build? Here are some of the stats, maybe if you like them you can use the build for some ideas.

-167.5% Global Recharge (Perma Light Form and some breathing room)
    -85% Resistance to s/l/f/c/e/n
    -77.9% Resistance to Toxic (85% w/Essence Boost)
-31.6% s/l defense (will be higher in game since combat flight is providing positional only in Mids)
-29% Melee Defense, 27.2% Ranged Defense, 22.9% AoE Defense
    -251% Regeneration, 1457 HP
    (2145 w/Essence Boost)
-110 Max Endurance, 4.94/s End Recovery
-Resistance Debuff Procs in every attack that will be used
    (Aside from Photon Seekers)
    -Fantastic Enhancement Values

    edit-
My build has enough recharge to have a single target attack chain without using glinting eye, and yours should too.
  2. I wish I could fit Grant Invisibility into my build so I could grief AIB during screenshot time, too. >:-(

This is the best answer anyone here can give you. We all support it as far as I know, and it's been requested god-knows-how-many times. We do know that the Dev's have been reading our forum lately so it's always good to have more Kheldian players bringing up the concern.

I always skip Pulsar. It's a wasted power in my book, with a chance to stun that you're unable to stack... I also don't like playing as a wannabe-empath, so I skip Glowing Touch, too. That's more a matter of personal preference though. I don't use the nuke either because the crash bugs me.

As far as "must have" powers, I would say the human form ST attacks are the best you have access to so you'll want to grab those. The new Inner Light power is a must have in my book, and the same with light Form but you might be filing those under "obvious." Photon Seekers underperform but they still do goodish damage... I would pick them up.

If it's not worth it to you, don't use it. I personally find it helpful and I was able to get it... So I'm glad I did.
  6. This is my first official contribution to the Kheldian Brag Book.

I found this mission in AE called Warshadenfest 2010. The arc ID is 417572.

The first time I played it, I was just testing out my build against new challenges.... And all of a sudden, there was Bobcat. I didn't have AV's turned on, so I promptly exited and fixed that.

This is my Human Form Warshade soloing a level 52 AV Bobcat. I didn't use Lore Pets, I didn't use Judgement, and I didn't use Unchain Essence or pets (because they would've just killed the adds.) I did use Barrier, Demonic Aura, and purple/red/a couple blue inspirations.

My attack chain against Bobcat was S Blast>E Drain>S Blast> G Well. I brought an aggro cap of enemies with me to her and then brought her from group to group whenever I ran out of bodies.

The last picture you'll see is me, turning Bobcat's corpse into my pet.

(And yeah, I know my graphics suck.)

edit: I just did a double take, and to be fair, these screens make my graphics look at least 5 times worse than they actually are. I don't know it's because I saved them in paint, or because I resized them in paint, or because paint had anything to do with it at all. But I have a feeling it did.

However that 3% def proc....if I can build a character that is S/L softcapped, I'm not going to make a spot for that proc and work toward getting it. That extra 3% likely will not soft cap other defenses, and since regular soft cap is 45% and incarnate trial softcap is 60%, then that extra 3% for 2 billion isn't going to help much either.

Making inf in this game is so easy that if you can afford it you might as well go for it. Not to mention there are ways to get everything that don't cost any money whatsoever. I didn't feel like heckling with people over an item that couldn't be bought on the market so I stealthed tips for 10-15 minutes every day until I had the merits for it.

    "Alien"

You know, with issue 21, if you can find the time to do one of each incarnate trial every day, you'll have enough Empyrean merits for the IO in 10 days (assuming they're successful runs.)

I shamelessly flip and use AE tickets on a daily basis. I'll have the rest of the cash for the FOTG -Res proc in like three hours, and then I'll officially be done with my Human Form build.
  10. I got Hero for my friend who was working at the time, heh.

    Shadow Slip

My new build is insanely tight... I couldn't possibly think of a way to use this power. Heck, I don't even have room for Super Speed, and I already had to lose Nebulous Form to get everything exactly where I wanted it. I guess it's no big loss though, since we got those fancy, free mission teleporter things anyways. They don't even take up a power choice.

As such, costume pieces will be unavailable to me.

    Two concerns with that...

    1) Does this mean that any character I have who already have some, but not all, of the Celestial Armor pieces will no longer be able to access them?

    2) Short of spending real money to hit Tier 9, does this mean that the Celestial Armor pieces will forever be out of reach for my characters?

I'll admit, I am still having trouble understanding the nuances of the new (and, admittedly, rather disliked by me) Rewards Program. So, if someone can help me with these questions, I'd be very appreciative.

They said that they plan to actively rotate items in and out of the market, so even if the armor pieces are gone before you're able to get them, it seems you'll have another chance (or five.)

Characters with Old Content Still Unfinished
With the makeover to Atlas Park and Mercy Island and the destruction of Galaxy City, some characters may still be on missions that have had their contacts changed so they don't give missions anymore. Characters in this situation will need to do the following:
    • Characters with missions for Atlas Park and Mercy Island contacts can continue and finish them. The location of the contacts may have moved, so please check the minimap for their exact location.
    • If a character had Galaxy City contacts, they have been removed automatically. Missions that character was on have also been removed.
    • If a character was last logged out in Galaxy City they will be transported to Atlas Park immediately upon logging in.
I am wondering if the inability to complete unfinished arcs from Galaxy City contacts applies to Warshades who didn't finish the Shadowstar arc, since she's been moved to Atlas Park and is considered a "special" contact whose arc remains in tact.

What were the purple recipes? It sounds like you might have gotten a bad deal.
  17. I'm gonna make an SS/FA brute LUL.

No, I'm probably not going to do that. I think I'll be spending the better part of the day respeccing a few characters, and then go back to business as usual (as soon as I buy Ninja Run.)

I just bought mine the other day with Villain merits. It only took about 12 years.

Just checked, the best I could do (gimping a build) was 45.3 s/l, 38.4 e/n, 35.6 f/c, 18.4 psi. So definitely not possible.

I find I have more room in building positional defense up (on a Peacebringer) than trying to build up all types. There's really probably no way to do it without it looking gimpy as hell, though. I only brought it up when you said:

My current warshade build has no problems soloing any part of the incarnate trials with a bit less than that.

I'll just recline in my chair here while you solo Marauder. 1,2,3, go!

Ohh, did you actually build all the way to the softcap (normal content wise) for all the damage types we encounter in Incarnate trials? I'm not even softcapped for s/l, which is my highest defense... it's at 31.6% in Mids and still won't hit 45% when combat flight provides typed defense. My positions are at 29% melee, 27% ranged, and 22% aoe.

Since we're talking respecs, I've noted that Light Form alone won't necessarily get you to the 85% Smashing/Lethal resist cap for Khelds. Lets say you have Light Form slotted to get you as much S/L resist as it can, what would be the best minimal slotting or IOing elsewhere to get you that extra bit of S/L resist?

My current light form slotting, which I may change, gets me around 77% S/L resist when on. If I don't change slotting for it, what else can get me that extra 8% with as minimal investment as possible.

I'm thinking Shining Shield single slotted. Would that alone be enough even without a resist IO in it (maybe you can afford the Gladiator +Def proc and want to put it there)? I can't seem to find the numbers for it anywhere (I'm not home).
You can also one slot Shining Shield with steadfast defense or KB protection. I don't have your build... Just open it up in mids, work in the shield, and see if it puts you at 85% resistance.

Right, the magnitude is the issue (especially if you like to do insane things like solo +4 groups with heavy mez, like I do.) True that the defense buff barrier provides decreases but my build has good defense in the first place, so it will stack and remain beneficial to me. If you don't have any defense in your build, I could see not taking it though... I wouldn't like the sporadic, steep shifts in my defense either.
  24. I'll be making a t3 barrier and a t3 clarion and switching them around as necessary. The softcap is higher on Incarnate trials and even though my perma LF Peacebringer build has good defense, it's nowhere near the Incarnate Softcap. I don't like relying on outside buffs that I may or may not even get in order to have my survivability where I want it.
