Assuming they don't die, I have the recharge to keep three out at all times. Unfortunately, they die a lot.

Quote:Very, well.
I move that this evening, September 23, 2011, we undertake the current Signature Hero Story Arc (Part 1) for this week's all Kheld TF AND that we run it twice for 2 hero merits.
Is there a 2nd?
Man I wish someone told me this earlier. I already got both the hero merits
Oh well, I guess more astrals couldn't hurt. -
The first time I did a DKTF, I brought my Fire/Mental Blaster. It was an ITF, and I was required to take an alpha strike anywho but I ended up taking several, off in my own world during the last two missions. Our team was also pretty great and I was nice and buffed, so I'm sure that didn't hurt.
Other than that, pretty much every time I play my Warshade. -
Quote:lmao. Now now, griefing is such a harsh word
...It almost feels as though I am on trial...very well then...
Btw...Are you in that screenshot???
Hmmm...<looking...looking>...Oh, there you are!!! The little shadowy figure down front.
One question...
Is it possible to use grant invisibility on the grant invisibility icon?
Because, well, I don't see a grant invisibility icon on that screenshot.
And...If that screen is right then AIB is aight!
(Be sure to say that with all the jive that was used when it was said, "If the glove doesn't fit you must acquit!")
Don't blame me. Blame your unruly little stealth proc.
AIB has been exonerated!!! -
My first two characters- A level 44 Energy/Kin Corruptor, and a level 50 Fire/Fire Scrapper. I can't even bring myself to use them for their auction slots anymore. /e cringe

Quote:I believe it, since it will obviously be easy to perma a saturated Eclipse (and mire(s) too), but what would the attack chain be? (and would stance dancing be involved)?
Sorry for the bit of derail..but I believe all these characters fit the bill!
Best,
MT
For the Tri Form build I posted earlier, the opening farming 'chain' is Eclipse>Sunless Mire>Dwarf Mire>Quasar>Small Blue>Stygian Circle. After that, the chain is Dwarf Mire>Nova Aoes>Dwarf Mire>Nova AoEs, dropping to human for Sunless Mire/Quasar/Eclipse as soon as they're up, and Stygian Circle when needed. Binds are helpful. Unchain Essence is optional.
I think my Human Form Build might even be doing better AoE damage via my Orbiting Death slotting/Reactive/Unchain Essence and the immensely superior ST chain focused on bosses (S Blast>G Well>S Blast>E Drain.) That's the build I can solo level 52 AV's with. -
I just finished the redside arc, still annoyed that I had to do it at level 20. It would've actually been fun at level 50 instead of a vague curiosity. The story itself was pretty okay, I was expecting it to be flashier/longer/a challenging level 50 arc (heh) but it was fine I guess.
My real gripe is with the friggin' rewards table. If you are a rogue or vigilante, do not play this arc. The only decent reward was a Villain Merit. God knows why it offers Astral Merits instead of Emp Merits, when Emps are clearly the equivalent to Allignment Merits and Astrals are... Essentially worthless, at least to me. Just my two cents, take it or leave it.
edit: Also, I stuck around at the end hoping to fight the Freedom Phalanx, when I got the countdown/"get out before they arrive!" message, and of course they never showed up. Sort of a bummer. -
I'm not reading the thread because I don't want anything spoiled for me, but I will say that I now have to relaunch on a lower difficulty setting because I was not expecting to be exemped to level 20. That is pretty annoying, I wish this arc was played at the level of the mission holder.

Quote:I can take or leave the glowing ball, but it would be nice if the new animation were significant enough to at least be obvious when it goes away. Not everyone has a perma lightform build, and relying on one small blinking icon can be problematic in high-combat situations.
Yeah I can get behind this- I've only had a chance to briefly test it out, and I had my tri form build on. Especially with Dwarf/Nova having an aura that looks like the LF aura already, it can be pretty difficult to tell when the buff expires. Same could be said, really, for any full body auras in human form.
edit: It was pretty obvious when my HP crashed, though. -

Quote:Thanks for the help guys! I'll be flopping around for awhile until i can get some kind of access to mids. I'll probably run it off of my flashdrive at school or something :P
So I'll just mirror my Warshade build slightly. I don't need it running all the time, so somewhere around 70% additional recharge is good. AwesomeWith my heals my un-finished build is already around 20% w/o hasten so i dont have much more to go
As a side note: I'm loving inner light. It's a HUGE help along side my Musculature Alpha
If you're able to use mids at school, feel free to shoot me a PM if you need help with any changes. -
The thread as a whole is full of people soloing AV's/Doing cool things on their Warshades so really any post works.I can't tell if you're being snarky because you had to go through the hard labor of scrolling down a few inches or if you were asking a legitimate question, so I'll reserve further response until you clear that up.
Edit: I just noticed the top post linked to the one person doing trivial/pointless things and then bragging about it and posting in the thread. Sorry about that. Let me be more specific. -
Quote:Warshades can solo level 52 AV's, possibly higher.Actually Warshades' 'lows' are quite noticeable, since they have much in common with Dark Armor - they love being around mobs, WSs more than /DA. That's why they can do everything but solo GMs (maybe AVs, I'm not sure).
Quote:High end WSs' performance float way more than other ATs - you're dependent on other mobs for your godmode, your self heal/endurance, your mires, even your self-rez if you pick it. So when you're in a team fighting a single AV you are usually not contributing as much as in the middle of a big mob.
Human Form Warshades have the DPS to solo leevel 52 AV's without any pets whatsoever. Granted, that's with fully saturated mires, but even without them on a team VS. AV situation a Warshade can still contribute a pretty nice amount of damage. Human Form is also capable of very nice survivability via defense and HP bonuses; My build sits at 35% s/l defense, and 28%m/21%r/22%aoe. Its' HP is 1 below Brutes' base, and it caps eclipse for 85% resistance to all damage with just 5 targets. Anyways, just food for thought. -
Hrm, interesting. I still recommend building more than 135% global recharge, though.
-
Yeah, same as Perma Eclipse. That's a bummer about not being able to use mids.

If it makes you feel any better, I also like Sandwiches.

Quote:Yeah, I don't think I'd pay for them independently. But I bought like 20k points of other stuff (mostly ah/salvage/recipe/enh inventory storage boosts which are all account wide). That gave me like 17 reward tokens, but I already had all tier 1-8 and the tier 9 VIP stuff from being a long time vet. So you can trade those extra reward tokens for 25 boosters each.
The point still stands that even with ED capped damage in your attack, proccing that excessively costs you full slotting of purple sets for optimal recharge bonuses to focus on defense with your other slots.
Also if you made a mod on my build I'm sure you could find some way to fit in Provoke- Mocking Beratement and Perfect Zinger both provide decent recharge/defense bonuses when 6 slotted. -
Cigarettes. Beer. Pizza. Repeat.
Oh, and souls. I forgot souls. -
Quote:Well, my slotting would be differen without enh boosters. I am actually ED capping in a lot of places it doesn't show via ~100 boosters. (all the res/rech and heal rech are +5s, all the attacks are dmg capped that way)
Meh, I haven't bothered figuring those things into my builds or build assessments since I don't have any intention of using them. "pay us money 2 increase ur statz!!" just doesn't sit well with me-- I mean, feel free to sell costumes... but. -
Quote:Yeah being able to hold aggro is nice, it's yet another area where Warshades have an advantage over Peacebringers (via Orbiting Death/Inky.)That's definitely inspiringly good. I'll have to play around with this and see how it feels and then chase defense depending on how it performs; but I like what you did a lot. One issue is that I'd like to be able to provoke to hold aggro, and throw out heals, since it feels like there's a lack of healing sometimes in things like Keyes, so I like the idea of being able to mix it up. Still, all that defense is nice.
Provoke would probably be nice to work in--I have it on my Human Form Warshade, but the main function is to keep aggro off my pets. I don't worry too much about team mates because I'm greedy. Barring the Keyes trial, which is probably the primary exception, you have one thing to take into account: "Do I need my team mates? Is my build good enough where I can finish pretty much any content on my own without them?" (I took Vengeance for a reason)
Quote:I'll have to do some math with the procing; I think it will be worth is because you get so many chances to proc on those fast recharge/low cast attacks.
Kheldians with capped resistances and good defense to boot are probably more survivable than most tanks-- Especially considering Warshades' mitigation capabilities and Peacebringers' "lol I just capped my HP in human form" ability.
