  1. I think the general attitude on the forums is that most people don't give builds away, you know? It's one thing if a newer player has a build that they are working on, and would like some assistance making it better, because it shows that they actually thought about the character and put some effort into creating it themselves.

If this is meant to be a technical forum for how to use mids (which seems to be an implication Zwil's post is carrying) I believe that they have their section on the Titan Forums for a reason.

I also really hope that this isn't meant to be a "build index" in the sense that "this is where new players get sent to find a good build--" since there are so many plausible ways to build any character in this game, it would be sort of counterproductive to lead new players to believe that there is any "right" build for any particular power set.

I think that a lot of the reason why no one could tell you where to "find builds" is that the community generally encourages people to put effort into making their own builds, and then offer up advice/suggestions once that initiative is taken. This is why having AT specific forums is nice-- The people who are more accomplished at building certain things gravitate towards those AT's forums and are generally more than willing to give a hand to anyone creating a new character using a set they're familiar with.
  2. Does this mean that build threads in AT forums will no longer be allowed? I feel that many of those threads turn into discussions of overall AT performance, the pro's and cons of certain slotting/build techniques, and the like.... Not to mention that people who specialize at building certain AT's or sets are able to assist novice players with said AT/sets. To ask us to broadly post builds in one forum will probably make it more difficult for players to get help with their builds from educated posters on the specific subject matter.
  3. Oathbound, I think this is the best advice both of us could take right now:

Cool, thanks. I did specify the character name and server, not sure if the petition will have a time stamp on it. It would be difficult to say what the items were aside from a broad explanation that they were purple enhancements. I buy and sell them so frequently that I don't really bother making mental notes of which I had posted at certain times- Add the fact that I wasn't really paying attention, just rapidly clicking claim and then having my money disappear.. And it's not gonna happen.
  5. I just sent this in a petition but I want to post it here also to see if anyone else has had this issue and if they were able to resolve it:

I had around 1.5 billion inf on my character and 700 Million to claim from transactions. I wasn't paying attention- I clicked "claim," and then accidentally hit it again after getting the inventory cap message. My inf to claim disappeared from the market, but I (obviously) did not get it.

I emailed 999,999,999 to myself, logged out, logged back in, expecting the inf to re-appear to be claimed. It didn't. I then tried (edit: wrong word) selling something for 1 inf. to get it to refresh, buying something to get it to refresh, neither of which worked.

Is my infamy gone forever? I have hated the idea of an inf cap for a very long time because of potential disasters like this/QOL issues that they present. I've said it before on the suggestions board but the player base shot me down- Why I don't know. I really feel that a global inventory per account would circumvent these potential serious issues, but at the very least a global Infamy with unlimited amount per account would be incredibly awesome and helpful- Granted, for VIP's only.

That's not really the point of this thread, just venting a bit. Really hoping that someone else has experienced this problem and may have found a way to fix the situation.

I play a Human Form Warshade. That means that I don't have a dwarf Mire to stack my damage up to 300%, ever.

I have a question about the App wish...where are we suppose to find the slots for this? Maybe an all human build, but a tri former...forget about it. I find Kheldians to be a huge "give and take" relationship (more so than most AT's). I can't think off the top of my head which Patron/Ancillary power would be worth giving up on some Kheldian goodness.
Slots are way tighter on a Human Form build- Trust me. The thing is that some of these powers are good enough that sacrifices could be made to pick them up: For instance, with Scorpion Shield I would be able to Softcap my s/l defense (and still retain good positions for other damage types) and it would probably actually end up freeing up some set mules to boot.

Defense is always good for a resist based set, so there's your reason for scorpion shield. Soul Drain would be fan-freaking-tastic particularly for Human form Warshades and Peacebringers... But the route I would probably go on my Warshade is Melt Armor. Debuffing is the one thing my Shade can't do well, and being able to stack the -Res proc from Reactive, my Fury of the Gladiator -Res in Orbiting Death, on top of Melt Armor would help me put out a pretty significant amount of useful debuff.
  7. Make a Human Form Peacebringer. Once you have enough recharge for Perma Light, you'll also have an AoE chain of Destruction with Seekers, Detonation, Solar Flare, and Proton Scatter. You'll also have a nice ST chain for EB/AV's with L Blast>I Strike>L Blast>R Strike. Oh, and you'll be pretty much invincible all the time if you pick up some defense toggles and invest a bit.

Meh, I don't really play Villain AT's (not that such a thing exists anymore) for reasons unknown I just don't find them appealing. Funnily enough, I play almost exclusively red side. Go figure.

Beam/Dark on Blasters.... Not so much.

I'm a blapper mainly, so it wasn't the melee that bugged me, I just didn't feel like my secondary was all that useful for mitigation. Which is crucial for Blasters. Plus, the added damage made Disintegrate harder to spread. So I deleted and stuck with the Corr.
Well that's a bummer, thanks for the help. Do you think that the mitigation issue would be alleviated at level 50 with an IO build and the like? My Fire/Mental is my only Blaster, he doesn't use world of confusion , his main source of mitigation is blowing things up quickly, and having an ok amount of defense/resists from an epic shield and set bonuses.

The second part sort of worries me though. What do you mean by added damage making Disintegrate harder to spread? I figured the attack chain would be exclusively Beam attacks while pausing for Soul Drain/Consumption and perhaps opening up with Dark Pit.

Looking over the powers now, I am noticing that only the ST attacks have a to hit debuff which is sort of disappointing.. The exception being Shadow Maul which I either wouldn't take or use as anything but a set mule.

Needless to say Eclipse is also perma before incarnate powers. This does look like a rather pricy build.
First of all, there's absolutely nothing wrong with setting an end goal for your builds as long as you're the type to actually work towards them. That being said, if you're not going to be swimming in Infamy when your Warshade dings 50, Have you thought of planning out a cheaper build? I would be more than willing to help you reach your build goals on a smaller budget.

Also, I do not fully understand how procs and stuff work in form(LOTG and Numina/miracle). Some help understanding that would be great. Ok here is the build. All suggestions and constructive criticism will be greatly appreciated.
I'm not sure what you're asking so forgive me if this answer is too broad. A proc IO is a % chance for something to happen, ie: A Chance for X Damage type IO has a certain % chance to deal a fixed amount of the specified damage type. When you put them in AoE attacks, they have a % chance to go off per target.

A global enhancement like LOTG, Miracle, etc. is an enhancement with an effect that will always work as long as you are playing within three levels of the level of the enhancement. So, for example, a lot of people buy level 25 LOTG Recharges so that when they exemp down as far as level 22 they will still receive the recharge bonus. For Global IO's like Miracle and Numina, I am 90% sure that they work at all levels regardless of the level of the enhancement, provided you're high enough level to slot them.

And yeah, global IO's do work in forms, the powers do not have to be toggled on for you to get the benefit of the global enhancements.

Edited: Also, I seem to be encountering a LOT of negativity towards me playing a WS. This has resulting in me soloing all the way to 25 with my only teaming experience being on a PositronTF that I had to start. I am looking for more teaming efforts with people who enjoy playing the Kheld ATs. If it means starting over on a new server thats fine.
Well, quite frankly that is just a bummer and it seems you've been teaming with some uninformed players. Warshades, when properly utilized, are one of the most powerful AT's in the game- Considering that you're playing with forms, you're actually more sustainable at the lower levels than the majority of other sets. When those folks still have brawl in their attack chain, you are able to dish out massive AOE damage, heal yourself to full health and endurance after killing just a few enemies, stack your mires to drastically increase your (already impressive) damage output, amongst other things.

I will look at your build in a little bit, but in the meantime have you read The MFing Warshade? It's an invaluable tool for new Warshades, and I recommend it for every single person who ever makes one.

We Kheldians need a cross-dimension counterpart! We want to reach across the isle and embrace our fiery and icy friends.
  15. The next AT's we're getting are the PEAT Fire and Ice themed Kheldians. You heard it here first.

    Shh.
  18. I used to want Defender pools, but now I want Blaster Patron/Ancillary pools for my Khelds. A choice between Melt Armor, Scorpion Shield, and Soul Drain? Heck yeah I can fit one of those in my builds.

I may or may not join this competition. I am trying to see if I can squeeze some more damage and get under my current DPS score.
Yes, there will be judges. The participants will be going one at a time, so it won't be hard to manage. We will be formed into a league- Myself and a couple of others will be keeping an eye on buff icons.

I will have to confer with the council on this matter. The reason I wanted it set up as a Scrapper exclusive was honestly to avoid potential time-wasters from entering and well, wasting time. Now I know you wouldn't be one of those people, but the problem is that I'm not sure if I would be comfortable making exceptions because it 'opens the flood gates,' so to speak, and I'm really trying to run this as fairly as possible.

Speaking of which, you guys have all been pretty vocal about the Incarnate restrictions and I understand that. I've decided to update the OP to reflect that Destiny powers will be allowed. I think the best cases have been made for this and so it's a fair compromise- I'm not changing my mind about Judgement/Temps, and I'm really sorry if that's grounds for anyone not wanting to participate.
