  1. I wonder what my post count is...

    Oh.

    That's what it is.

I also remember the scene in X-men Origins: Wolverine where Logan was shot in the head with an adamantium bullet and it penetrated right through his adamantium covered skull. Where basic physics would have had caused the bullet to bounce off and go elsewhere. That was my biggest nitpick with that movie.

But, that wouldn't have explained Logan's memory loss.
Besides, it's cool knowing that Logan can recover from being shot in the head.

I believe one of the explanations for a lightsaber's blade is that it uses some sort of magnetic field or matrix that keeps the energy constrained to a certain area.

Further visualization, the way I imagine a lightsaber is, it's actually a hollow column of light. A lightsaber isn't a solid column because that'd require even more energy and heat and would constrain the energy traveling straight out of the handle.

No, the way I see it working is the energy/magnetic field constraining the energy is actually *flat* but then curved around to make a continuous loop/column shape. The field basically *spins* the energy around this loop, looser around the hilt and more tightly at the tip so all the energy is contained in the same area. This would also explain why, as described in canon, the lightsaber is difficult to handle because there's some sort of gyrating motion that has to be compensated for.

So if you lightly poke something with the tip of a lightsaber, it'll make an 'O' shape (that is, until whatever you touched burns up or melts, making the shape indistinguishable)
My understanding of how the lightsaber worked was that it was a laser that extended out to a certain distance, then bent back on itself and entered the hilt again, recharging thew powercell. The only time the lightsaber ever used energy was when it actually cut something. There are only 2 ways that I know of to bend light; a strong magnetic field, or a strong gravity field.
Of course, I've seen it theorized that the lightsabers were actually a plasma encased in a magnetic field.

Lightsabers are difficult to handle because they cut through (or burn) whatever they touch. Not so with normal metal (or stone, wood, plastic, or bone) weapons. It would be much easier to lop off an arm with a lightsaber accidentally, then with a regular sword.

That is, of course, my opinion.

That is what I term aggressively stupid. That is the kind of stupid you have to apply effort to achieve.
I would use Jackass: The Movie as an example.

It's also the kind of stupid that I don't have any sympathy for.

  12. I have a couple of characters who have the steampunk costume pieces.
Finally, I get to see Kaylee Dark's hair. She is one tight lipped woman when it comes to revealing anything about herself.

Anyway, here are her three current costumes.

    Her primary costume.

    Her demonic costume.

    Her formal functions costume.

Of course, it has to be, in order to fit over the chainmail.

If he's a normal Primal Earth citizen, I'm not sure he'd be able to add 2 and 2 and come up with Cole. Algebra seems to be a foreign language to most people.

Speaking of math, I can add 1 and 1 and come up with either 2, 3 or 11, depending on my mood.

Since day one, a very small contingent of people have complained out it. Seven years later, I guess they still just don't get it.
But, none of that content excluded anyone from progressing their characters from levels 1 to 50. If you teamed or not, your character could still progress. The Incarnate system is a way for level 50s to continue to progress. Except, you pretty much have to team in order to do so. Now, character progression is gated behind having to team. which, is a complete turn around from the last 7 years.

Any more strawmen we need to address?
Except, I still get lag spikes on occasion when I run as minimum settings. And my computer exceeds the minimum requirements. Also, I have very few services running in the background. I have found that certain maps, or even certain areas of some maps hit my system with a huge lag spike. And its not just me.

Really? the group I team with regularly is comprised of 5 50s and a soon-to-be 50. I'm the only one in that group that has run any iTrials. Are you sure that the massively huge numbers of 50s are (mostly) all doing I19+ stuff?

Or, they might be using a stick (sans carrot) to get us to play their teamed stuff. Because their teamed stuff is just so much squishy fun!!!!!?

    Indeed.

Really, the only relevant data we have here is from psychology/sociology circles ; humans are social creatures and, save for a few rare cases, generally need to communicate.

So guess what the so-called soloer, low-pop loving crowd does to fulfill their social needs? They come on the boards and post thousands of times, including in topics against server merges. Meanwhile, people who socialize more ingame don't need more interaction and post less if at all, including of course in these topics.

If you do a search for server merge topics, you'll see that in action. The same forum names with thousands of posts replying against server merges, while the people being pro merges tend to be new names with at most hundreds of posts, and often lower than that.

Of course, that's just, like, my interpretation, man. Much more likely is that people love being alone and that all these different individuals asking for merges are just one guy creating account after account to post the same question.
Well, I don't really post much on the forums here. Mainly, because others have already stated my opinions and I don't see the need to repeat them.
Although, there are a few topics that I will chime in on. Usually, ones that deal with inherent Stamina (which I think was a huge mistake).

That being said, I have a relatively low post count, and I am against a server merge/deletion. I have a regular group that I team with weekly, and I do, on occasion, join PuGs. But, mostly, I solo. I prefer my personal space to be free of irritating pests. That is why I don't have any characters on Freedom. I have a few on Virtue, but not many.

Adjust the NPCs unresistable damage resistance to resist the iPowers more than they do regular powers.
That should fix those nasty Incarnates without neutering the non-Incarnates.
