Quote:The few reps that I have (both pos and neg) that are signed, I can tell are from the people that signed them. That have that kind of personality.Really, my innate cynicism kicks in over any name attached to something anonymous. How do you know that name is correct? Or if someone is playing games.

I currently use a wireless keyboard and mouse hat cost me all of...$50, I think. I change batteries maybe twice a year.
Check Best Buy for wireless keyboards before you go all out. -
Depending on who you target, you can reliably pull a single foe or a pair. My brother and I do so quite often. Targeting the boss will not pull a single foe or even a pair. Targeting the minion that is farther away from the others and that all/most of the others are facing away from will do so a large portion of the time.

Quote:Actually, Hover was broken, in that it wasn't functioning as it was supposed to. The Devs fixed it.Then we have flat-out STUPID nerfs like the Hover KB nerf that still infuriates me to no end. This accomplished exactly zilch except annoying people like me who have a lot of squishies who Hover through missions. YAAAAAY!!! BALANCE! Because remember, *not* being as annoyed as possible every second you are logged in means you are an Ebil Exploiter and ought to be wearing a great big scarlet E on your chest so everyone will know.
Quote:So I take it that players are not, in fact, supposed to be able to kill large numbers of enemies within a reasonable time frame?
Quote:Well said, and if most of the player base bothered with these forums you'd see many more people...
...And that would make you all omnificent Jack Emmerts.
No thanks.
Obviously, your idea of balance and that of the Devs differ. I can tell you that I don't always agree with the Devs ideas. But, I learn to adapt to the changes.
As for knowing people that have left the game. I don't know of anyone, personally, that has left because of nerfs. I know of one person who left because he got married. -
In the upper levels, you can run missions packed full of Wolfs (warwolfs) and Catboys (Go Bobcat!).

The Pet_say command was altered at some point since CoV was released. I don't recall exactly when it was. however, the alteration disallowed the <>' in keybinds. Maybe it was the /bind function that was altered. The change was not retro-active though. Keybinds made before the change will still work as they were intended to work. Any Pet_say keybinds made after the change will not work.
There was a reason given for the change, but I don't recall what it was, and I'm too lazy to go look it up right now. -
Quote:Translation: I don't care about numbers, except when I do. Which is any time that I'm actually playing the game.Protip:
Not everyone is you.
I don't pay much attention to numbers, but if an enemy is extra annoying, or under-rewarding for the amount of effort they take to defeat, I'm going to choose a different path when possible.
So will a lot of other people.
If you care about how fast it takes you to remove a threat so you can get the reward for it, then you care about the numbers.
Quote:Let the record state that I refuse to run the unfun, unrewarding, hugely time intensive Hamidon encounter.
Also, dude, I don't care about the nerf. I really don't. I'm just discussing how it will effect my gameplay.
I agree. -
then you should leave earlier to compensate for taking the long way. Its not rocket science.
Quote:The answer should be obvious, but I'll indulge you a bit. I personally find them annoying from time to time on any of the AT's you mentioned. Is that better?
As for "always being a cakewalk" are you referring to 40+ play or characters in the 20-40 range? That makes a big difference to the conversation. I will agree that for characters above 40 they are very easy. But, you know, there are other parts of the game. And for the lower level ranges where you can find Freakshow, I personally feel lowering their XP is unjustified as in that level range their challenge level is completely in line with other enemy types. For that reason I say make their modifier 1.0, not 0.8.
On a side note: I ran a Freakshow paper mission about an hour ago. Two of them self-rezzed in the entire mission. So for that mission, in I16, the XP reward would have been below average. -
You can use them to pull a single mob or part of a group, if you target correctly. I use mine even in the middle of combat. Of course, have an Energy blast secondary does tend to make mid fight sniping a tad easier.

I have a Fire/Mace Tank whose battlecry is "Come Howard, Let's make new friends!"
Howard is what he calls his mace.
He has a rotating taunt bind of which one of the taunts is "Come! Meet Howard, Mace to Face."
I can't play him on team with the people I usually team with though. They forbid me form using him. -

Quote:But I saw requests for farm teams about as often in Issue 2 and I do now.But has you read a few letters on you would have noticed the brackets containing further information.
I did not say it did not exist, the intimation was that it was not in as greater prevalence as it is not, or certainly not as noticeable as is it now unless you knew where to seek it out.
I will do my homework as soon as you learn to read -

Quote:Remember that first Hellion door mission you got in Atlas Park?I find Nemesis very interesting too - I like the way he's evolved from a standard faction leader into possibly the game's chief villain - although he's got less of an in-game presence than Recluse and his Arachnos, the way he uses clones, automatons, time travel and alternative dimensions makes him much harder to contain.
But I would like to see a few missions involving mysterious automatons at the low levels, just so that you can eventually find out that they were a Nemesis plot later on in the game
Its all a Nemesis plot. -

Quote:The civilians were doing their part attempting to repel the Rikti...or maybe it was Lost trying to run over a few heroes...True dat. I remember the very first Rikti invasion I took part in, I got myself killed when I cracked up laughing because cars were just blithely driving through that intersection at the base of the stairs in Kings Row where heroes tend to congregate for invasions.

Quote:If you want Phenomenal Cosmic Powers, be prepared to move to an itty bitty living space.I've never felt that Kheldians were cosmic at all! Sure they can do a lot, but cosmic is not the word I'd use for them. Just because they're aliens doesn't make them "cosmic!" Only beings in this game that seem cosmic to me are Faathim the Kind, Lanaru the Mad, Ruladak the Strong and Rularuu the Ravager.
Sorry, couldn't resist. -
Quote:Maybe he meant thread-humping...I'm not sure whether to read that as "Thread-bumping" or "Thread-dumping". It's funny either way, but if I were to hazard a guess as to what Thread-dumping was, (which I don't know) it would be:
Thread-Dumping. Verb: to deposit fresh excrement into a forum thread, adding nothing of value to the conversation.
Did I guess right? If so, do I win a cookie? -
No, I don't fear the stare. It just creeps me out.
Its like...driving by a car wreck. Most people can't resist the compulsion to slow down and stare at the wreckage.
Would have used a similar example involving breasts and too tight of a bra...but... -
Primal,
Your cat is creeping me out! -

Quote:Westley is the characters name. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093779/PK was, or at least was earlier, using the name Westley. AKA The (latest) Dread Pirate Roberts. Although wasn't that Wesley?
I believe that's PK's actual name.
In fact, I have a Pirate named Westley. Of course, since Wicked Wenches make Happy Pirates, Westley is a Happy Pirate and not a Dread Pirate.
