Quote:Only if they're French dishes.Fish-based dishes prepared by you must be quite exciting then
Personally, I don't really care for fish all that much, so I don't eat it often.
However, I do make an awesome grilled cheese sandwich. -

Quote:You know...I want to say something along the lines of this being a non-standard code rant...but I can't.Once upon a time, the

block used to kill formatting and reduced whatever was in it to a sort of plain text block where each symbol was given equal spacing. This, as you might understand, was very useful for showing bits of programming code, as well as for making make-pretend tables. This no longer seems to work. The tag just creates a Code block, but everything in it remains identical to how it would have been outside of the code block, and smaller symbols like the dash get horribly smushed together. I noticed someone posted an HTML table before, but since I haven't coded in HTML in over five years, that's really not an option for me.
So, is there any way to get my text neatly lined-up and formed into a make-shift table now that the code tag doesn't do what it's supposed to?
P.S. when I say "once upon a time," I mean "on the old forums."You're just too nice a guy, Sam.

Quote:I tooked French, I know what it means. Funny, that's one of the few things I remember from my French class."See that... that code. That code what you wrote? That's right. That lumpy excresence of noisome fecal matter. That's what's wrong with this whole thing. And it's your fault because you're rubbish!"
I could do that job
That and my teacher was hot.
I still get fish and poison confused though. -
Quote:There would be no rational reason to -rep you. However, in my experience, I haven't seen much rationality on these forums. Myself included.I'm generally polite on these forums (at least, I think I am), so there's really no reason for someone to -rep me anyway.
Quote:Sorry for the double post, but I just checked my rep again, and it's even higher than before the -rep I got. Thank you!
(By the way, whoever said that they didn't find anything objectionable in my posts apparently missed a certain thread, which is understandable, since it's been deleted. My post there was basically me exploding at someone who was trying to tell everyone how to play the game "the right way". I get extremely irritated by people like that, and I'm pretty sure that saying so will come back to haunt me later.)Besides, no one is perfect. I allow everyone an explosion or two.
Haven knows, I've exploded a time or three myself. So, Post on and cry on my shoulder if you feel the need. -
Quote:And in getting Perma-hasten, I'd have aquired a hasten and a half's worth of +recharge. Urging me to ask, why did I want Hasten again?http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Perma
* Permahasten - Hasten needs a total of +275% Recharge (205% after Hasten's own +70%, 110% after 3 recharge SOs for ~95%) -

Quote:I think your lists are awesome.I don't get upset about the negative rep so much as the rude comments that accompany them.
These comments are the reason I haven't written a "funny" post or list for the past two or so weeks. Quite frankly it's hard to be in a funny mood when I suspect someone will take advantage of the system's anonymity to be a deliberate jerk.

I have several -reps that just have . or .. as comments. I also havea few +reps that don't have anything. And one that has the beginning of UniqueDragon's first post on the Forums.

Quote:Ahem. Just one thought?Quote:But they open themselves up to so many answers - admittedly most sound rather snarky (such as "Really! Your first?") or otherwise smartalecky ("I used to have those, but they did nothing but get me in trouble.")
I gotta admit I was at least expecting something along the lines of "Quick, everybody take cover!".
There.
Quote:Not really. "Temp(orary)" is only related to quality indirectly, i.e. something temporary would probably of lesser quality than something more permanent. The word really does speak directly to duration.

Quote:To be honest, I don't care about the Rep meter at all. half the people that have given me Rep (pos or neg) haven't really done so because they think my posts are good (or bad), they just did so because they could.it's still really odd to me how most of the people who list off reasons why one shouldn't care about negative rep all seem to care themselves
Really, its a popularity contest to most people. I already know I'm not the most popular person around. In fact, I'm pretty well unknown. I don't post enough to be in the <the rest of post has been deemed classified>. -
Quote:Which was, probably, one of the reasons they did away with the personal star ratings on the other boards. not that I had cultivated any stars back then. I didn't post often enough with enough "passion" to irritate most people...except for the ones that "require" Stamina in their builds and want Stamina made inherant so we cn all suffer the joys of +Recovery...whether we want to or not.On the other hand, anonymous ratings prevent backlash. However, either way you go, somebody loses.
Either you can be slammed by others unfairly (or pretend it was unfair) and there is no way to know whats going on; or else you can get pissed about someone's feedback (legit or not) and then since you know who they are, you can get your friends to slam them back for you.
I think this is why it'd be better to have no rep for individuals, and simply leave thread ratings.

Quote:I'm sorry, but going from level 1 to level 50 in 4 hours is using an obvious exploit by any sane person's definition.A definition that rests on individual interpretation by such a disparate group as the our playerbase isn't useful. The devs won't define it and we can't (in any meaningful communal way).
The traditional solution (patch the problem area and move on) is the best. -
Quote:You think my Avatar was hawt? The problem is, all these people don't know that it was me that thinks their avatar is hawt.
(How do I work in corporate IT and I'm the only person that has seen The Guild video?)
I thik these new boards broke mine. I can't seem to get it to upload here. I've tried about 4 dozen times...since the transition. -
Actually, the Ban-hammer was used when people used obvious exploits in the AE system. The Devs even sent out a warning that they would. They're not as concerned with leveling speed as you seem to think they are. They are concerned about exploits being used.
also, Farming and PLing are not necessarily the same thing. I'm fairly sure that the Devs dont care that much about farming. PLing, on the other hand...
Two words:
Seriously doubt.
