If, as some people are reading into the article, the only reason the writer had really given for CoH needing a remake was because it was "old", regardless of how well it is doing, then why isn't WoW on the same list? Its about as old as CoH. Both are profitable.

My Fire/Energy Blaster uses Super Speed+Aim+Buildup+Bonesmash+Energy Punch+Fireball to deal with bosses. If they're not dead by that time, then I use Fire blast and/or Flame breath. Of course, the boss is usually wandering around stunned after the first 2 attacks. Anything less than a boss is not a problem.

I find that I don't need Controllers to be effective with my human-form Peacebringer.

I play a Controller on an 8-person team every other week. The mobs only get one chance to do anything to me. I hit them with an AoE Immob and an AoE stun. Then, while they are completely and totally helpless, the rest of the team, including the brute who attempts to draw aggro before me, takes out the entire spawn. I'm sure, if a Dominator who rarely uses Domination, can manage to lock down an entire spawn by himself, three Controllers should be able to lock down much more. And, the Peacebringer shouldn't have to even worry about mezzes.

Unless, of course, you have a second attack keyed and ready to go before the first one finishes animating. Something like, I dunno, Power Push. The chances of missing twice in a row, are very low. Not impossible, but not very likely. And, once the mezzer is on the ground, you shouldn't have many problems taking him out. Gasp! Tactics FTW!

Of course, now we're getting back to learning to play...

Unfortunately, no. I seem to get similar, if less extreme reactions. Probably because I'm about a foot taller than most women I know, and I seem to always look serious...even when I'm smiling. I guess the more correct term would be...intimidating.

Funny, my Fire/Energy Blaster deals with both easily. That's including bosses, since I ran her on challenge level 2 from level 1(pre I16) so I could fight bosses. EBs still give her problems, depending on the EB or course.

I also have a Controller that doesn't have a problem with Rikti or the Council. He's not even Fire/Kin. He's an Illusion/FF. Not very FotM, but he deals with most everything well.

I haven't been playing my Defenders all that much lately, so I don't have one in the 40s yet. But, my Rad/Energy doesn't have a lot of problems dealing with mezzers either. And he's on 0/x4 at the moment.

My PB is on 0/x8 and clears an entire map with maybe one or 2 defeats, that have nothing to do with being mezzed. Of course, she's not very high a level either.

The only enemies that give my Dominators problems are the one that will not mez at all. (I'm looking at you Arachnos Huntsmen)

My Mastermind is so rarely mezzed that I don't even carry breakfrees. Her bots keep her alive very well. Except when she is stupid and gets in over her head fighting mroe that even her bots can handle. (at high challenge levels, mind you.)

I haven't played many Corruptors, so no comment from me there.

My Warshade is in the same boat as my PB, except he can take on more at once, as long as they leave a corpse. No, he doesn't have Stamina and he does just fine without it.

Yes, much anecdotal evidence to refute the anecdotal evidence some have used to advocate un-needed mez protection for squishies.

Oh, and it is very rare for 0/x1 to have more than 3 minions or a Lt and a minion, or a lone boss in the spawn. If a single Hero/villain character can not defeat a 0/x1 spawn, then they really should not be playing at a higher difficulty.


Additional note: I suppose that whoever left the rep comment "different from you how?" thinks that I'm putting my fingers in my ears as well. You mighht try actually reading the entire thread again. You will see that there have been numerous methods of dealing with mezzing enemies listed, and One person in particular ignores each and every one of them, yet sstill complains that the he can not defeat a single spawn without prlifigate use of inpirations for each and every combat that he is in. when, I might add, most every other poster on the thread has stated that they have zero problems fighting a spawn set for +0/x1 difficulty.

Yes, he is. He's been shown a dozen different methods of dealing with mezzing enemies that don't include inspirations, yet he puts his fingers in his ears and screams lalala because he wants everyone else to play his way.

I refuse to play on Freedom. Of the other 10 servers, half of them have at the least 10 characters, 3 have over 12.

I colored my Energy Blast set green to match the Radiation primary. And, no, I didn't intentionally make a Green Lantern character...Green energy blast just works with Emerald Radiant.

And I had to use Radiant because, at the time, there weren't enough spaces for me to make it Radiance. And I'm too cheap to buy a rename for him.

Also, why do my smilies keep re-arranging themselves?
