Quote:I am quite certain that all CoT Spectral Demon Lords have (and use) a kill Dark One (one of my Brother's characters) setting. I have seen a SDL break away from a Tank run around 2 corners, just to take a shot at Dark One. Who, I might add, was doing absolutely nothing to anything on the map at the time. You may be thinking of the Threat calculation Castle posted. There are modifiers to threat which can be individualized per enemy type, including (according to Castle), a 'kill the healer' variable (though all enemies currently in the game don't make any use of it)
Its even worse when he tries to use Moonbeam.
Quote:Not to be confused with the "kill the wabbit" vawiable. I think that's unique to one of the least competent AVs, Fudd. He used to be an Arachnos Huntsman, but was thrown out for poor marksmanship. Poor sap couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. What a maroon! -
Quote:That's because you learned proper English. Kudos to you.I guess I should be flattered! :P
Anyways, most people usually are quite surprised when they hear I learnt the basis of my English in the internet. MMO browser games, mostly. And the level of English there, well, it isn't very good.
I had the habit of bad grammar earlier, but then it struck me that people might think I'm an idiot if I couldn't spell properly so I just decided to try my best and so far it has worked quite well.
And honestly, I really can't fathom how the minimal effort I'm spending to make my posts meet the standard I want them to could be too much for someone who has spoken English since whenever they learnt to speak.
It seems to take me longer to type something improperly than it does to do so the correct way. -
Does anyone else find it odd (or humorous) that BaB is getting more lovin' in a thread devoted to Castle?

Quote:Does that mean I'm odd in that I have the Hamster Dance in my music play list when I'm playing CoH?
* If you can activate SuperSpeed and not hear either the Benny Hill or the original Hamsterdance music in your head then you aren't playing the game right. If you hear it NOW but never have before then you're welcome. -

Quote:Send me pics of the two of you, and I'll tell you that you're both equally attractive.Do not sully the greatness that is Arcanaville with me. Compared to her, I am the Patron Saint of Mediocrity. (Not to mention she's probably far better looking than I am.)

Oh wait...I wasn't supposed to tell you that last part.
Um...

Quote:If she's on Infinity, I'd be happy to join an ITF/STF/LGTF with her. Unfortunately, with my altitis, I only have 50s on that one server. I do have a low 40s on Champion though.I even told her I'd be happy to start up any TF she wanted, invite good and friendly players and would gladly take her Rad defender. She demurred stating that she'd feel terrible if she "dragged down" the team, and that she'd only join once she was convinced that she could pull her own weight.
Also tell her that skill trumps gear in this game. -
Quote:I'm not human, I have nothing to apologize for.I salute you for your admitting to be human, now for some of the other posters...
Ok, maybe I am human. but I won't apologize for that.
It wasn't my fault!!!
Quote:You don't have to write like you're trying for a Pulitzer, but just making an effort to get the basics right does make it easier to read and posts that are hard top read tend to get ignored by everyone else. (In my case i have a bit of a cheat: i use Firefox, and it automatically highlights misspelled words for me.)
Even my own. -
I have a keybind for dialogyes and a keybind for dialogno.
Easy as pushing a button to accept or decline anything. -
Quote:fighting Lost Aberrants, maybe? My Grav/Energy Dom has a few issues with that particular opponent. Oh, and Arachnos Huntsmen and Fortunatas. Dang Mez resistance.

You're lucky you actually have internet access at work. Where I work, I don't. I have to "entertain" myself with Solitaire on the computer when I'm actually able to log onto a computer. Sometimes, being in security can suck. Other times, it just sucks less.

Quote:Well, I do know that a Warshade with Stygian Circle slotted for recharge can fight indefinitely as long as there are corpses around. MY Warshade is able to recover health and Endurance from the same corpse twice before it fades away. However, the bane of his existence is any foe that disappears/explodes immediately upon defeat. Such as: Rikti Drones, CoT ghosts, and Council hoverbots.Quote:I understand you are running entirely hypothetically, Arcana, and I'm trying to imagine a way in which someone could either make or beat this time, and I come to two conclusions
1. it would have to be a MM with damage enhancing powers, /dark has an early start, but I think Storm, TA, or possibly Therm might take the advantage in the higher game. Picking the highest damaging primary would be the only possibility (not sure which one that is)
2. It is not possible to reach your +2 boss condition, simply because AE would be the only way to fight an almost constant stream of such enemies, but if that was all you fought, you would lose XP because of the anti-farming measures that were implimented.
I'm actually sort of hoping someone comes along and tells me a way to beat this that bypasses the assumptions rather than breaks them. Something I just haven't thought of. I'm pretty sure the assumed limits themselves are practically unbreakable as stated. But they might not represent the best possible options.
Whether the Warshade could manage to sustain his indefinate combat against +2 bosses, I don't know. I can tank Mako with help from an /Emp defender, but I'm not sure I could solo a converbelt of +2 bosses.
Of course, Stygian Cirlce is not available at level 2 either. -

Quote:And a very nice cleavage it is too. That Mr. No Pants is a lucky guy. This is the only group of people I've tried to socialize with online where I was tempted to show cleavage after all (even if that seems to have lead to the necessity of moderator intervention SORRY MODS!). We clearly are within spitting distance of the right path.

I will agree that this community is one of the more friendly ones that I've lurked, um...interacted with. -

Quote:Do you have any idea just how aggressively stupid some people are? There are people out there that would intentionally gimp themselves into uselessness, then complain that they can't complete a mission set to -1/x1. They are out there. I have had to "deal" with them when they came through my drive-thru window at McDonald's.HOWEVER, I do believe that after a certain point, having such a restriction places an unnecessary limit on your builds--especially if you are using set bonuses (like Global Recharge enhancers, etc) or if you have a "late blooming" set that has lousy choices up front but better options later on. As such, I think you should get the option to use power pools at level 1 as a veteran reward.
The AT/Power-set system was set up because of those people. (wild speculation on my part)

Should I summon Arcanaville to let us all know about the math concerning Defense?

Quote:As a matter of fact, I do not. Aside from a few typographical errors and misplaced punctuation marks and words, I believe that I have perfect grammar, spelling and punctuation. Which, is akin to saying, "aside from all the bad stuff, my day was excellent."By the way has anyone else noticed themselves typing really carefully in this thread? Has anyone else subjected their posting to the level of scrutiny normally reserved by little children armed with a magnifying glass, hovering dangerously close to an anthill?
I have found that it takes me about 5 times longer to type in 1337, or IM shorthand for that matter, than it does to type normally. Now, here are occasions where I sill intentionally misspell words to convey an accent or mode or speech. For that, I usually refer to my Okie dictionary. Or, as some people would call it, the Redneck Dictionary.
