I wonder what they rated that tornado? I would probably estimate an F1 possibly an F2. But then, I haven't seen the damage and it's not my area of expertise.

I have seen the leftovers from an F3 on a few occasions. Spend a year in Tornado Alley and you'll get an eyeful...of mud if you keep them open during a storm.

Yes the nerfs where needed it was way out of whack and no we are not even close to the stupid stuff people did back then.
Agreed. Mister Emmert's People skills left a lot to be desired. However, I recall many people complaining that the game was unplayable afterwards. Which, I found to not be true. Considering, I played through those changes on various ATs, and managed quite well. But then (you knew it was coming), I never expected to survive spawns for 8 players while solo either.

Parts of his "vision" weren't bad. His approach to executing them, and the parts that weren't so not bad, left a lot to be desired. I firmly believe that he should have his mouth Duct tapped shut and let his second in command do the talking.

Or are you one of the people that actually thought it was perfectly fine for a Tanker to round up literally entire maps and aoe them all down with Burn with absolutely no team support at all?

Also, to my knowledge the Devs have never stated that IO's were the reason behind the GDN or ED. I do recall them stating they felt the game was out of whack and needed adjusting at the time though.
I was playing through that time as well. The Global Defense Adjustment and Enhancement Diversification were both badly needed for the game to be anywhere near balanced. A single hero, no matter what AT they are, should not be able to aggro an entire map at once and survive.

Then again, I'm that odd-ball freak blah blah blah.

That being said, I got used to (IMHO) having to take Stamina a long time ago... but the extra 3 power choices could prove handy for some of my characters. Though, as has been mentioned, slotting could get tricky (unless you take other powers that don't require lots of slotting).
Considering, when I make a level 1 character, and (on a few occasions) do not go through the tutorial, I still don't have to use rest until I reach level 5 at the earliest. Normally, I don't start using rest until I get into the mid teens.

But then, I'm also one of those odd-ball freaks that isn't worried about how fast I defeat things either. I have an AR/Dev blaster w/o Stamina that maybe rests once every 2 or 3 missions. And she's level 25.

When I team with others, I don't hold them up because I'm out of Endurance. Because I rarely am. I use things called inspirations to refill if needed. I also don't run unneeded toggles.

But, don't listen to me. I'm one of those odd-ball freaks that isn't concerned with the speed of mission completion. Neither are the people I routinely team with. Funny that.

I agree with Leandro, there is something seriously wrong with the run away code.
nto too long after Villains came out, I chased a Deathsurge all over Cap Au Diable. I only had 4 bots at the time, and wasn't using any of my Traps. Never had a chance. Except for Web Grenade. The stupid thing wouldn't stand still. That was back in Issue 7.

The majority of my builds do not have Stamina (nor is it planned for them). Yes, I was dismayed upon hearing that Stamina was going inherent.

    - End recovery (like 20%)
    - Regen (like 30%)
    - Run speed (little less than sprint ~35%)
    - Jump (like 50%)
    - Resistance (5-10% maybe?)
    - Defense (3%)
    - Damage (10%)
    - Mez Resistance (not mag resist, but time reduction)
    - More?
    My personal theory is this;
For some people, there is no such thing as too much +recovery. If there were 4 power pools that had access to various forms of +recovery, they would take all 4 pools. Why? Because their Endurance bar twitches.

Of course, now they would have a problem with damage, both dealing and mitigation, and would complain about that. In addition to needing more +recovery.

Yes, that is an exaggeration. But, I don't think it's overly exaggerated.

Maybe you could talk him into doing a voice over for a video of yours

I will admit, I would have swooned were I female.

Maybe, Nos was running away because 3 of his AV buddies were defeated and he didn't want to be next.

I'm one of the type that sees their character as an extension of themselves, and a male character - despite my interest in playing one - just feels wrong and that feeling gets stronger and stronger the more I play him.

I'm not bothered, and never have been bothered, by other people playing 'cross gender'. Everyone sees their character(s) differently. Decades ago when I was first introduced to tabletop AD&D, some of the guys I played with had female characters. There was no 'if I'm gonna watch a butt for hours it might as well be female' there, heck, there WERE NO real video representations of butts yet back then! So that particular argument has never made much sense to me, but I accept it. You play what you want to play, whatever makes sense for that character, and is fun for you. Everyone has their own reasons.
When I played table top RPGs, I played several female characters. It all started with a gender changed male character I had. The very first adventure he was in, pretty close to the beginning, he was changed into a female.
    <Rod Sterling> Imagine, if you will, a 14 year old playing a suddenly female character. </Rod Sterling>

Yes, it bothered me at the time. However, I played him...her. What was interesting was many years later, I dusted her off again and ran an adventure and through the luck of the dice, she was changed back to a male character. It wasn't a planned thing either.

Ever since I got used to playing that first female character, I've never had a problem playing a female in Computer RPGs or PnP RPGs.

As for my ratio of male/female characters here (to keep this on topic) I have a 55%/45% split, favoring the males. Roughly estimated. It all depends on the whim of the moment or concept. Serenity Dark was Female form the start. Cog Caster, on the other hand, was made female shortly after I got to the body type screen.

I would have found the doorknob more useful than the Tank on one of the respec trials I was on. The Tank logged after he was defeated once. And that defeat was because he was stupid. My Controller ended up tanking for the team after that. Well, my controller's Phantom Army did.
  18. Am I to understand that this "lame" thread, and several other "lame" threads created by this overly "lame" using OP is all about (lame, er...lol) PvP?

    How lame is that?

Since I have only run the Respec trials once or twice because a character I had could have used a respec (more for the badges and rewards), I don't see any problem with the costs of Respec recipes. I will never buy one, regardless of the currency I have available. I will never need one.

As for "farming" the Morality missions. Why? They're fun to play.

    If I don't have fun, I don't play.

You should try it sometime. Everyone else will be much happier.

Luckily they were all even-con minions.
Your starting level AT temp power could be used to pull some of them away from the others.
