And I picked up 9 shards doing those two TFs and we did the kill all version as well.
Seems the RNG truly is random when it randomly determines that the random mob should randomly drop a shard. Unlike the recipe that gets randomly distributed to a random character on the team.

I hope this post wasn't too random for you.

But, it's not a team challenge. As has been stated earlier in this thread, that you, obviously haven't read, once a single additional teammate is added, the mission is trivial. It is only a challenge to those who solo it, and even not to everyone that solos it. Generally, only the low damage types without mezzing abilities (or knockback) have issues with this mission. So, your second sentence made absolutely no sense in regards to this topic.

In addition, many people consider the Multiplayer portion of the game as a chatroom with entertainment. Obviously, you disagree. However, your opinion means absolutely nothing to them, and me. There are very few people that I will team with on a regular basis, and that's usually one day out of the week. The rest of the time, I tend to solo. Mainly, because I get very irritated with the Tank that will quit the Respec Trial (Hero side) because he was defeated once, in the last mission. Or the Defender will go AFK when we enter a mission and come back just about the time we finish it. Or several other pug issues that I've run into. I really don't like relying on someone that is unreliable. So, your last sentence was totally irrelevant for most of this discussion. Especially, since this arc does not require you to have a team to start. This arc is solo-able content. Not Team content.

Most of us have stated that we were disappointed with the Devs removing a tactical option in completing this one mission. We have given our reasons for that. And, as a result, have had to defend our playing experiences from people like you, who seem to think that the only playing experience in the game that is correct is yours. Which is why most of us, who are "anti-social", dislike teaming. We are not you. For which we are profoundly grateful.

I could probably go off on a long winded (worded) dissertation on how they're narrow-minded individuals who were shunned as children and look for acceptance where ever they can. But,I won't. Because that would be shoving all of them into one mold. Rather like they tend to do to those who would rather not team with the likes of them, and I won't stoop that low. Or, did I just do that?

Or, maybe, not everyone has the same play-style with the same ATs. I can play any AT and any Power-set combination without having to resort to Stamina.* However, I'll bet that you needed Stamina on every single character you ever created. Obviously, you were doing it wrong. Since you needed Stamina.

*this was before Issue 19 where Stamina is inherent.

This could be not so easy to detect when there's just one or maybe two clones out there and you kill him fast, but I'm surprised the people that let the clones go nuts didn't notice that. The first time I ran the mission, it was actually the first thing I noticed, even before the regen.
Don't the clones also attack the player(s)'s character(s) as well?
When they're in range, of course.

I agree with you, Arcanaville. I just have one issue with the fix the Devs came up with. My Ar/Dev blaster, who uses the tactic of pulling the "bosses" onto a pile of trip mines, is neutralized before she even gets to the do the arc. I use a crap load of pre-combat set up with this one character. That's her "concept" if you will. Unfortunately, I'll have to find somewhere else to pull Trapdoor to, where he will actually go to. Hopefully, before he pops out a dozen or more clones.

I do know that 21 trip mines will take down Lady Winter near instantly. Of course, that was with an acid mortar tossing out -res. 15 Trip mines should put a serious dent in Trapdoor's health, if he would have the decency to wander into the mines before they self destruct and before he puts out too many clones. If I'm busy taking out his clones as he bifurcates them, then he's not going to go where I want him to go. Which is on the pile of trip mines that I spend a couple of minutes putting out for that purpose.

Same thing goes for my DP/Traps Defender. Granted, I'll have access to poison trap. But, that will only work as long as I can get him to trigger it. Which, involves him going where I want him to go. Which, involves me pulling him. Which, I have I have to work at more now, because I can't funnel him into the hallway any more. Yes, I know. toe trap him. While he sends a devastating melee attack my way.

Other than that, I don't really have a problem with the mission as a whole. Maybe it'll be different than how I'm envisioning it will be. Maybe, I'll just get lucky. Maybe, I can win the lottery too.

Just to reiterate. I am not disagreeing with you, arcanaville. I'm disagreeing with the method that the devs used to solve the problem. I agree that they overlooked that bifurcation issue when Issue 19 went live. I just think they could have come up with a better solution for it. But then, I'm not a game developer. I don't know what all they have to deal with in fixing the horrid code that was left to them from their predecessors.
  10. I didn't not see (or at least, notice) them the first time I ran the mission.
Every time after that, I did.

What the hell does a break free have to do with damage resistance. My toggles can drop for reasons other than being mezzed, you know. Maybe, because I ran out of endurance. That is possible to do,even with "the Almighty Stamina".

When did I say I was mezzed? Point out in my post where I said I was mezzed. All I said, was that my toggles dropped. You immediately jumped, erroneously I might add, to the conclusion that I must have been mezzed. Because that is the only way in the entirety of the universe that toggles can drop. Right?

Oh yeah, there's that pesky not enough endurance thing too.

    1) What 4XP difficulty level was Twisted Toon using in Mender Ramiel's arc?
    2) What was Twisted Toon's inspiration loadout at the start of the Trapdoor mission?
    3) What was Twisted Toon's inspiration loadout at the start of the Trapdoor fight?
    4) How long after the start of the Trapdoor fight were Twisted Toon's toggles dropped?
    5) What was Twisted Toon fighting when his toggles were dropped?
    6) How long after Twisted Toon's toggles were dropped did the killshot land?
    7) Do you believe the only way to build a viable Warshade is to include Dwarf form?
    8) What improvements to Twisted Toon's inspiration loadout do you recommend?
    9) What improvements to Twisted Toon's combat techniques do you recommend?
    1) 0/x2 yes, bosses.
2)4 Med reds, 2 Med purples, 2 small purples, 0 blues (don't normally need them), 4 med oranges, 2 med yellows, 3 med greens, 2 med BFs, 1 med wakie.
3)see #2. Except 2 oranges were small. and the other 2 oranges were small BFs. I have that kind of luck on occasion.
    4) Long enough that I took out at least 6 Bifurcations. Which, also reduced my Inspirations to 2 reds, no purples, no oranges, no blues, 2 yellows, 0 greens, 0 med BF, 2 small BFs, and a med wakie. Granted, I didn't start taking them out until he had more than one up. Then I was taking damage from Trapdoor, plus several other targets. It all adds up.
    5) Trapdoor, who I managed to pull just into the hallway. Knockback was helping a little from the human form powers.
    6) Less than the time for the sound effects for dropped toggles to end. Pretty damned fast.
    7) I did have Dwarf Form. I had more options for knockback with human form though. And my hold missed.
for both 8) & 9) I could care less what anyone else thinks about my inpsiration loadout or combat tactics. I'm not playing their character. Nor should they be playing mine.

I was just pointing out that I did get one shotted despite having enough defense to floor his chance of hitting me. I was very unfortunate that everything seemed to happen in less time that it takes to say "WTF just happened?"

    Hope that helps, Tin Soldier.

Also, I would like to point out that I had very little problems with Holtz and Honoree. Plenty of Defense from purples and both went down. Honoree was a little more iffy than Holtz. And yes, I pulled them both, one at a time. Seemed a valid tactic in that mission, despite both Honoree and Holtz standing in the middle of 4 portals spewing Rikti out like a...Rikti spewing machine.

Added note: This Warshade does not Stamina slotted with anything.

Wasn't it your side of the argument that called it an "exploit" in the first place?
Why didn't you call it an "oversight correction" instead of an "exploit", if that's what you really thought it was to begin with?

I agree that the Devs probably overlooked the Bifurcation issue, much like they over looked massive team rezzing from an Oil Slick Arrow. Probably not enough to get a "WTf?" from the powers guys though. However, I think they could have fixed the issue in other, less hand-slapping, ways.

My Warshade got 1-shotted through about 60% defense. (several Purple pills eaten)
Yes, they do get lucky and roll under 5% at times. (or is that 10% for EBs)
And his hits hurt a LOT. Especially when your toggles just dropped.
Fortunately, I had done just enough damage to him that the Warshade's Rez power defeated him.

Yes, I defeated Trapdoor with a Rez.

My Robots/Traps Mastermind was having a few issues with Trapdoor when I ran the mission.
    I did beat him, eventually.
I set the bots to attack Trapdoor, dropped an Acid Mortar (which was made irrelevant in 3 seconds because of knockback)
I concentrated on the clones, which were summoned faster than 1 every 30 seconds.
My difficulty was set for more than the equivalent of just 1 player as well.

    It's very simple really.

    1) You can now take more attacks and defensive powers sooner. (You know, Those things that use up endurance)

    2) You have the same number of enhancements to spread over more powers, reducing the amount of endurance reduction enhancements you can slot. (Well, you know, since it is almost a requirement on all AT's to slot 2 ACC enhancements on every attack if you hope to, you know, like, hit anything at all.)

    3) Stamina, slotted with low level enhancements does little to overcome the drain added by #1 and #2

It really evens out at higher levels, but the endurance problem for low level characters has only been exacerbated by inherent fitness.

Now, everyone tell me why I'm wrong.
    Ok. You're wrong.

I would pull a quote from Lady Sadako about how wrong you are, but that would be insulting a character I made in her honor.

You see, those of us who never thought that Stamina was a mandatory power at any level, have no problems with the lower level Endurance usage. Because we, you know, learned to actually manage our Endurance.
