I'm not sure I'd go that far. There's a group that I team with on a weekly basis. In fact, we have a specific day that we all play. But, if one or four of us can't make it, no big deal.

Now, that doesn't mean that a few of us aren't semi-power gamers. I like to tweak the numbers on most of my characters. I just don't play the market to gain the funds to IO out my characters. It'll happen when it happens. Fun trumps grinding to number tweak, for me. I guess I'm a casual tweaker.

I was going to say that Hasten was an mandatory as Stamina before it was made inherent. But, people would probably misunderstand what I was saying and think that I thought it actually was a mandatory power. I didn't take Hasten on many characters. Therefore, I never really needed Stamina on many characters.

If I use the Flip to Alternate feature in Mids' so as to "unslot" all 10 of those same Toggle and Auto powers, I get the following numbers:

Something seemed wrong about all of this when I first read it, but I wasn't quite awake enough at the time to really think about posting a reply.

You do realize that, according to Mid's, the Alpha slot's DefBuff is the exact same as you would get from an SO enhancement, do you not? You are boosting your Defense powers effectiveness (13.88% for Focused Fighting) by 20%. 20% of 13.88 is 2.776%. You will get the same amount of increase from the Alpha slot as you will from an SO enhancement. That doesn't take into account the portion of the Alpha that bypasses Enhancement Diversification.

I believe that your rant was based from a faulty premise.

I suppose if you don't believe me, I could get Arcanaville in here to go over this very simple math issue.

Those are the ones that I keep more of than others on some characters. I still will have a couple of reds, blues or oranges. But not many.

Most of my characters tend to not use Insps because I forget they're there 90% of the time. My Fire/Energy blaster rarely ever uses Insps at all. Most things die quickly from Aim>Build Up> Flame Breath> Fire Ball> what ever single target attacks that are needed to finish the sliver health on the LTs and Bosses.

She's a Blapper as well. I was fortunate enough to come across a Celerity +stealth that I could slot in her Super Speed for full Invis from most critters. Plus, she uses the medicine pool to quickly recover health. Sometimes, even in the middle of combat. It has a short interrupt time, I've noticed.

I can't remember the time, but it must have been around 35 minutes. I think it might have taken the originator longer to recruit the team given that everyone wanted a LGTF.
I did an ITF shortly after the Incarnate system came out.
We didn't do a speed run because we wanted Shards. I ended up with a whopping 3 shards from killing most of the baddies in all the missions. Funny thing though, we did a LGTF too. Done the same way, and I managed 12 shards from that TF. That doesn't count the common component from either TF.

The RNG is random for random people that get random drops randomly.

That prompted a second race with a rules change: get there the quickest without dying. I lost that one by about ten seconds. Without teleporters, this can really test your knowledge not just of the zones but also of the critter distributions in the zones.

At one time in this game, before Pocket D and other teleporters, it was a small mini-game to figure out ways to get from point A to point B with the minimum travel time. If you fly a lot like I do, this was an important game to get good at if you expected to team at all.
I probably would have lost the race by a little more than a few seconds. but, I think I could have made it there alive. I got pretty good at avoiding aggro in high level areas on low level characters. used to make that run to the back end of the Hollows from the Atlas gate straight through the pick with nothing but Sprint...and my superhero costume of course. Wouldn't want to get arrested for indecent exposure. And flashing the Trolls might give them the wrong signal.

I had a few more issues with the Praetorian missions on my Stalker. Similar to Alpha's and Sam's issues.

Homing ambushes violating my Stalker with 3 foot anal probes is not fun.

I'm all for a conversion recipe but if it takes a week to get a Notice via the WTF 9because of the cooldown) then I think the absolute ceiling on the ability to craft one should be 2 weeks (whether via a cooldown or just being balanced around the median of how many shards characters earn in 2 weeks).
Then why have you been arguing against the idea this whole time?
Or did Arcanaville's testing results change your mind?

I collected seventy million tohit rolls to test the random number generator. I spent two months analyzing demorecords frame by frame to figure out arcanatime server lag. My main took 908 hours to reach level 50, most of it solo. That same character debtcapped herself many times - under level 50 - testing things like whether total focus could stun a mito. I once tried to defeat Envoy of Shadows as a +2 AV on my controller 39 times in a row and wrote a thread detailing each attempt. I spent four months on test figuring out which of the RV AVs my Ill/Rad could solo with a Heavy (with enough luck: all of them). I once raced someone in-game from Atlas to Portal Corp on a level one alt without using the trains on a bet.

This is a whole different epic quantum level of crazy.

I guess what I'm saying is that even if you can't commit to long periods of play, there are ways to get Notices through the WTF. The only issue seems to be people who won't team up on principle.
Except, the first week of the WST, I tried to get on a STF team. No-one was available for most of the day. I even used the server TF channel. No dice. Once I finally got on a TF team, the TF was a horrible failure. No NotW for me.

Sometimes, its less aggravating and less of a waste of time, to do things on your own. Except for crafting a NotW in I20.

They met us halfway, let's try to show some appreciation and meet them halfway right back.
Except, this "option" to craft NotW isn't anywhere near "halfway". Disregarding the Inf cost, crafting 4 NotWs for the Ultra-rare requires over 300 shards. That doesn't count the components used in the commons, uncommons, and rares. You are telling me that that number of shards is a reasonable number? If you are and you are serious, then I'd have to doubt your sanity, along with everyone elses that agrees with you. Which, in many cases, I already do.

I am not saying that a solo-er, of which I do for a vast majority of my play time, should be able to craft a NowT after an hour of playtime. I just think, and I belive that most of the people that have stated that they disliked the current proposed crafting costs actually said, that the costs are excessive. As in, way too freaking high. You know, unreasonable.

Most of us are not asking for a freebie. We're just asking for more reasonable costs. If we can only get 4-6 shards from breaking down a NotW, and 2-3 shard from breaking down an uncommon, I think it reasonable that a NotW should cost considerably less than 88 shards to create. Granted, it should cost more than 24 shards, I agree. I would agree with Techbot Alpha and say 40 shards is not unreasonable, if still a little high.

Most of us are not making unreasonable requests.

Except, that the WST wasn't meant solely for the benefit of level 50s. Otherwise, they wouldn't have made the Sister Psyche TF one of the WSTs and given the double merits as an option. I view the reward of a NotW in the WST as an incentive to get the level 50s to do lower level content, possibly with lower level characters on the team.

I'm not sure if they had planned the exemplared shard drops before they ever mentioned the WSTs to us or not, but they mentioned that they added that incentive to get the 50s to actually exemplar and do lower level content. It could have possibly been because of all the whining, screaming, and ******** from the level 50s with entitlement issues. I don't know. I wasn't at any Dev meetings where this was discussed. Not that I have been at any Dev meetings at all.

The WSTs would still have value. Just, maybe, not as much to the level 50s.

I do not do many TFs. Mainly because I don't like teaming with random jerks. Some PuGs I have been on were great. Most were a test of my patience. Unfortunately for me, my regular group that I play with lost 2 members. We no longer have enough members to do the TFs that require 8 people. Not that we do TFs very often.

Just to reiterate, the WSTs would still have value.

Yes, thank you for creating so much content for 50th level characters. I don't have a 50th level character yet, since I keep deleting them all and starting over at first level when you introduce new content and perks that disrupt my current tournament rules. Sincerely,

I'm going to spoil some Green Lantern comics for some people who haven't read the Blackest Night story arc yet.

Ion : Ion is in fact the symbiotic willpower entity birthed from the green of the emotional spectrum.
Anyone that is "possessed" by Ion could be termed the Incarnation of Willpower. Not a god.
Parallax : As soon as sentient beings in the universe felt fear, Parallax was born.
Anyone possessed by Parallax could be termed the Incarnation of Fear. Not a god
Predator: The Predator is the ultimate embodiment of that emotion: love with nothing to temper it.
Anyone possessed by Predator could be termed the Incarnation of Love. not a god.

I would conclude that being an Incarnate does not, in my opinion, make you the Incarnation of a god.

There is even a badge called "Justice Incarnate". I was not aware that there was a god called Justice. Just the server. Unless all the servers are gods. Then, you might be right in that we'd all be Incarnations of <insert server played on>. Somehow, I don't think that is what you were intending though.
