Nothing wrong with Oklahoma. I kinda miss it. The traffic is MUCH better than here in Los Angeles.

I try not to speak in absolutes. Mainly because I never know what will happen between now and then. I might have an idea, but no definite knowledge.

Freedom is the only NA Server I don't have any characters on. I would be be put out if any of the other servers got merged, since I have upwards of 18+ characters on some of them. I might even be put out enough to not play the game any more, depending on which of my characters got deleted because of the "hypothetical" server merge.

Well, considering that I get to fire off a power about once every 5 minutes (Yes, I did exaggerate) when I get anywhere near one of those invasions. No, I did not see anything like that. I tend to stay as far away from them as I possibly can.

    Thank goodness for instanced missions.

That has happened to me many times with PnP RPGs. Your RPing gets really intense when you're playing four separate characters with their own individual personalities in one campaign.

It's harder to do that here though.

You are never too young to know about those cartoons...

    Um...

Ok, if you're 2.5 months old, you might be too young...

It wouldn't be a real "How to know if..." thread if Steelclaw didn't post a list in it.

Except, they're not really "needed" for the Incarnate Trials either. Otherwise, you'd have them available before being able to attempt the trials. And the only thing about the Incarnate slots (other than the Alpha slot) that cannot be used outside of the Incarnate Trials (to my knowledge) is the Level shifts.

I have found that the Judgement slot has helped my game play in regular content that I play with my regular team a lot. the other Incarnate slots will help (to a greater or lesser degree) in the regular content as well when I team with my regular group that doesn't do any of the Incarnate stuff together.

Using the argument that the Incarnate slots are only good for the Incarnate Trials is not true, even in the slightest degree.

Trying to pass off the current "solo path" to the non-alpha Incarnate slots as a viable path to those slots is ludicrous. This is from a player that has been here for 7 years and only has 3 level 50s, and is in no rush to get more. I do not expect instant gratification. I never did. I just expect reasonable time frames/costs for content acquisition.

As for the hypothetical, it's not exactly germane. You are comparing an obvious act of exclusion to content (Apex or Tin Mage without alpha slotted is excluded, and that is merely common sense), to exclusivity on the part of the players.

Again, I really don't think they should have created the debuff playing option for the TFs since it just makes people paranoid about things. A strict limitation of no alpha, no enter, would have been wiser.
I have been excluded from regular teams (several years ago) Just because my Defender wasn't an Empathy Defender. (More accurately, he wasn't a "Healer") Yes, exclusivity on the part of the players does exist in this game.

Fortunately, it isn't nearly as rampant as it was a few of years ago.

From what I noticed, there are a total of 4 arrows. Each one will toggle the window into a different layout. I could be mistaken though.

Likewise, there's no reason they couldn't keep trying the same scheme over in the B.A.F. each time figuring that there's only so many Primal heroes to stop us and maybe we'll get lucky this time.
    So, the Praetorians ARE Insane!
    Just in a predictable way.

That makes even less sense than it being attacked repeatedly.
I would expect them to have altered the defenses to take into account the weaknesses that allowed the prior raid to be successful. but, the Praetorians are insane and proceed to do the same things expecting different results. Which, sort of breaks immersion for me from a story perspective. Don't get me wrong, I repeat content that I enjoy doing quite often.

However, I never enjoyed raids. I've been on a Mother-ship Raid once. Only to get the badge that was stupidly placed behind a shield so that it cannot be acquired unless there is a raid going on.

This is also why I am disappointed in the Incarnate system as it stands. It is, effectively, only for people who really enjoy raids.

The Tanks aren't the only ones. My dominators tend to get a little crazy and start the fights for the teams I'm in.
Depending on the powers used, I might get hit with an alpha, but I tend to survive most of the time.

The idea that your respect is so valuable that other people have to earn it suggests two things. One; that you think a great deal of yourself and Two; that other people should respect you instantly in order to want to gain your respect.

In my opinion respect should be a given. Yes, it is very easily lost and very hard to win back but to think less of someone because they haven't yet proven something to you seems rather... disrespectful?
Only a certain level of respect should be given. I tend to call that the baseline of respect. After that, you may gain or lose respect depending on actions and intentions.

You usually go through some distance of the interior of whatever you entered before you get to where your instance begins.
That's the only reasonable explanation for why you jump in the back of a truck and end up in a cave, with there being no pop-up explanation of why you jumped in the back of the truck.
  15. My most memorable fight was my Ice/Ice Blaster against Maestro. I did have a Controller buddy in the fight, but he went down almost before we really knew what was happened. I unloaded with everything I had. It cam down to the one hit on either of us would end the fight. We both hit. He hit with Scream, I hit with Bitter Ice Blast. He went down, then I went down. But, the mission was completed. Granted, it was completed a fraction of a second before my defeat. Still, a memorable fight.

Because Primal Statesman didn't give into the temptation to ignore/rewrite the existing laws?

I like Superman for that reason alone. He's Mary-Sue powerful, but refuses to use that power to take control of the world, which he could, most likely, easily do. All because of his personal code of ethics. If only us lowly non-metas could do the same...

This is not new. The only new part that is new is that we have personal recording devices so we all get to see these outbursts rather then hearing about it as urban legends and rumors.

People have always been stupid. Now they're just stupid for the whole world to see.
    Agreed.
Having been employed at McDonld's for 3 years, I have seen a lot of stupid coming and going.
Not to that degree, but there was still a lot of stupid.

Are my two favorite parts of this update.
We need more people like Sister Flame around to show people how to act right.

Plus, there can never be too many comic geeks in the world.
    My favorite is Green Lantern.

That is because everything that goes wrong has the Well and Recluse's earwax problem to blame.

Even Nemesis Plots are caused, ultimately, by the Well.

The Well, is the script writer for evil plots.

I wonder which of the Devs is going to use "The Well" as a red name...

Some people seem think that CoH "got it right" purely by accident.

Judging by the way the original design team worked, I would have to agree.
Whether the current design team is working to correct that error or not remains to be seen.
