I would love to take the spot of Cute Saint Pisces (my sign :3) if it's not reserved for anyone else, I'll give some thought to a backstory and such but I have in mind to make her a Defender (IIRC, Pisces are known to put others before themselves).

How about give a 30-day time period where all the arcs are still available, and add to the feedback window that a player submits "Should this arc be preserved? yes/no" If even one person says yes, than the arc stays. If everyone who plays it says no (or nobody plays it in that 30 day period, an indicator in and of itself) Then the arc gets removed from the search display, either through some "inactive" tag that the maker of the arc can remove, or by deleting the arc entirely.

Could be cool, multicolor notes floating out from you (or one color chosen by you) at set intervals, and maybe a different one that creates a sort of shimmering musical score twisting around your character.

Alright, I'll work on getting my hero (Sonic/mental blaster named "Hi fier") up to 19 by next week. Shouldn't be too hard, got him to 12 already
-
If I can get to that level by next week I'd be happy to join you guys
-
Well if you are, I've got a mutant hero I'm leveling right now I'd like to RP with. Is there a level I should be by the next meeting if I want to hang out with you guys?

Quote:How about this, before a base can be registered for PVP, the guild using it must make a test-run where they have to destroy every destructible object and steal whatever's steal-able in the base. Thus ensuring that there's some way it can be done, or else the base wouldn't get registered. No need to make algorithms to check the paths or anything. As far as #4. as I recall the pathing issue was related to base owners could make it so it was literally impossible to get to items to win a raid. There are actually quite simple solutions to that in some ways, but if none were viable i'd rather get rid of the PvP/mission aspects than the idea all together.
*Idea inspired from Advance Wars DS, where you'd have to win a custom map before you could upload it for other players to play. -
Am I the only one who saw the thread and thought of the video game character Kirby instead of anything related to comic books?

Quote:Bolded for emphasis, how does that not mean "The purchased power takes up an available powerslot"? And more importantly, if that exact system were implemented, what reason (aside from thematics) would there be to get Rocketboard instead of Fly?I would like to see purchasable permanent items follow the following model:
1) You have a limited number of applications for each purchased power/upgrade
2) You can apply them to any character, reducing the number of available powers/upgrades.
3) Once applied to a character, the power/upgrade is permanent. -
Out of curiosity, is this group still accepting new members? I'd love to be a part of a regular RP experience.

Quote:Maces are a symbol of Arachnos...therefor it's impossible for a hero to master them?I'd rather there just be Hero pools. So the APP are the 'neutral' ones for everyone, and both heroes and villains are their own distinct unlockable power sets.
To me, the villain pools are just too entrenched in the lore to feasibly handwave allowing access to everyone for them. Some, yes, I could see, but something like Mace mastery that's practically an Arachnos symbol? Nnnnooo >> -
Quote:I'm picturing that in my mind right now and smiling so muchso when she went into the sewers with a bunch of fellow heroes the first thing she obviously did was complain about the muck on her pretty hero shoes and the smell. ...Everyone seemed to think I was a wacko

At least add some more colors in if you're not going to allow full control? -
Isn't the point of the jetboard to be a temporary replacement for Fly? I don't think nearly as many people would bother with it if it took up a power slot that could be spent on fly (some would use it for thematic reasons sure, but I think a large number of people who use it use it to avoid having to get an actual travel power)

Quote:While the OP may be overreacting, he didn't jump to conclusions about this particular player.I'm surprised nobody here pointed this out.
Maybe they never went to Perez while leveling? Y'know how easy it is to skip Perez? Really f'ing easy since Hollows and later the Cape Mission revision. I've rolled five characters leveled to 20 since the Cape revision. Number that have visited Perez? Zero. Unless I do the Midnight Club missions, I only go to Perez for the Numina TF. -
I'm not sure how much this thread has drifted from the original post, but I started an RP character the other day with a concept involving her still learning her powers. Send a tell to @mahouneko if you have any interest.

I think there's an e-mail address you're supposed to send in tip ideas to but damned if I can remember what it is..

One last question, when you say "British time" You mean GMT+0 right? Just trying to make sure I'm converting the times properly.

Someone on the Virtue server decided that it wouldn't be a complete Halloween Night without a costume contest, and held one in the Atlas City Hall. I took some screenshots so I figured I'd post them here for anyone who was interested. First, two crowd shots. The first getting most people from a distance and the second closing in on the one that got left out of the first.
And then the winners. In third place, for a prize of 1 million Inf
In second, for a price of 5 million Inf
And in first place, for a grand prize of 10 million Inf
And a group shot with the winners and judge
It was a fun time -

I don't think the point of 3 was "I don't consider it hard enough, I want more challenge!" so much as "Make it harder even on the lowest difficulties so that it's less desirable as a grinding ground."

Is anime day supposed to be costumes that evoke the feel of anime, or attempting to look like an anime character?

I've heard that the median age of CoH players is somewhere around 28 years old, though there are some kids running around.
