    Tweak LFG?

The original restriction on joining TF teams in progress was not a balancing feature, it's a side effect of the development team expecting people to run TFs over multiple sessions. They made the teams static so that people who logged out would not be kicked from the team, which also meant that people could not be added to a TF team in progress.

Joining TF teams in progress is something that should happen, and all TFs need to be put in the LFG Queue. Its primary benefit is ease of access, and that's indispensable. Easily the WORST part of any team task is the recruitment process. Even the worst teams, even the biggest failures, even the most horrible teaming experiences pale before half an hour of sitting on my hands waiting for something to happen.

The LFG Queue needs to be fixed so it works, not sidestepped like people are doing.
Admittedly ... I was wrong ... you make a good case and one of the first solutions would be removing the [lock] for LFG leages. that would likely fix the problems people have. Next would be to show all existing Leages formed and number of players. Though ... both these things would be annoying for the players that are trying to solo a TF.

The other thing they could fix at the same time as the option to be in que for LFG while in mission ... is to recieve a team invite while in mission (if you have LFT in the /search channel)

A cool effect that they could add, each TF/SF/trial has a message sent to a "team event" message board like: "hero zone event message" so when something is starting to be formed anyone who's looking at that gets informed. The team leder whaen they click on the contact will choose forming team for TF/SF/Trial. I'm going to try and pull a ful idea together, then I'll post more.
  2. add a funny drawn on face ... like hit minions played a trick on him ... LOL

    pirate face (eye patch)

    clown

    silly mustach and nerd glasses.

    HAHAHAHA

if they make longer arms ... they would need to make a hunch. also increase/decrease the leg lenth option.
  3. floating question marks around the body. like the bats or leaves
  4. For the the mind controllers/dominators.
  5. / signed

    Fabulous idea. I like it.
  6. make the redraw ... lifts arms and hand retracts and equipment comes out, from the arm like mega man. I like this idea.

Should be able to replace any weapon held range set. It should also come as a weapon selection choice in costume.

add battle mode to all no weapon attacks ... there could be a battle mode "like combat auras" where the hands dissappear when attacking. Leaves a glowing hole in the wrist band.

The LFG Queue is a great idea in concept. The problem is that it just doesn't work. People don't use it since you can't do anything worthwhile as you wait, people mostly make pre-formed Trials, the function to join a Trial in progress has never worked once for me and it has no real feedback. "Average wait time: 5 minutes" it says, but that's a lie. Unless I can SEE a list of the people queueing and the teams that are forming out of it, I can't tell how long I'll have to wait.

Using the LFG queue while in an instance should be the highest priority.
The problem isn't the LFG. it's that they added it. They don't have the option to join TF/SFs after they start. They should've just left it that way.
  8. Cool ... thanks for the input I'll review the builds from here.
  9. TW/dark is the plan. Build for soft cap MELEE/RANGED/AoE

OG also tends to stack better than CoF from any stuns you have in your primary or any stuns that your team mates may have. The only time I would really want the tohit debuff from CoF is when it would be highly resisted.

Others may disagree, they both have their own niche, and may vary depending on your primary/epic choices.
I'm hesitent with OG because I'm not slotting anything for regen ... Does a large mob really take health out fast?
  11. I'm building for defense and I would like to know which [toggle] AoE would be better to take: fear or stun. Sorry I can't think of the names
  12. can this get somemore autographs?

Min/maxers already pick specific sets and powers within the set. ... what differance would it make if you add another power for them to do that with. it just adds enjoyment to the people who play it for fun and more numbers for the min/maxers to crunch. win/win

Honestly ... it's a playing style, I don't like playing those sets. I like fire and this is more a kin to that defensive set.

Why not just pick and player and send them a tell requesting and invite. If no responce ... left click on their name, it gives you an option to send their team leader or league leader a message. Easiest way to get into one. Then make firends with the player that is league and team leaders ... they usually are the ones forming them.
  16. Make 1-50 TOs free ... then leave the others at the higher price. Would be a good solution. They could save what little inf they make for DOs and SOs.

Why would the heroes and hero military discourage new heroes by making them pay for the basics. The military and police don't make you pay for your gun or bullets, your service pays those ... but if you want a special scope, new bullet type, that comes out of your own pocket.CoH should be the same

    Parade / GM idea

Have a mix of enemy groups have parades and they are pulling along a big floating version of their leader. once you Defeat a certain number of the enemies ... or the teather holding EBs ... The GM comes to life. the bagdges could be ___ crowd pleaser.

Also, when they died, most of the time they would drift into the ground, or just float off..not very good.
If the Dev make the next ones "intentional" then they, in theory, wouldn't be bugged. Because, when a bug in the system spawns, it spawns with it's own problems.

  20. a waist cape is made in concept already ... the trench coat has one. Now they just have to separate the coat from the cape. It would be cool if they made a prepy cape ... a sweater hanging over your shoulders. and a sweater tied around your waste. LOL ... would be interesting.

YES ... give us flowing hair. air guitar would be awesome :P
  21. make new tier 9s ... and you can't take both, only one ... that would be cool and fair. they could even lump the cost of all of them together ... so you can't pick just one.

It comes down to ... it's a concept, if the Devs make it, they would balance it as they see fit. Regen end and perception seem the best fit to me ... But I really could care less ... I just like and want the concept built.

A friend up mine reminded me, few to no builds have def/res to those effects ... so if you don't like this build, you'd hate fire aura, electric aura. etc

Also, if you don't want hit, take +def powers ... like you would with the before mentioned sets.

You can also buy them from the store ... they can apply to any enhancment ... though would be a waste on just SOs

I know what you're talking about ... I was refering to all the other resons for doing away with the combining screen. Where people were talking about spending 10min applying new SO/DO/TOs as they're LVLing.
