  1. I haven't really done much when it comes to bases but today I wanted to raise the floor where my teleporters sit. I was passing through another players base when I noticed they had theirs raised and were able to place the beacons directly below. My problem is when I tried raising the floor, somehow it went all the way to the ceiling and I can't figure out how to get it back down.
  2. I hope they offer it on Amazon on Demand. This will be the one time I subscribe to a show instead of waiting for a good price on a past season. Can't wait.

    Yeah, that was my thoughts as well so not too worried at this point. Just not enjoying the downtime due to a little more difficult spawns and the couple of ambushes that caught me by surprise. Having played this game for so long, I expected to cruise through the missions. Not happening. I find the experience good and bad. Overall, I was surprised I was enjoying the content again as my first thought was we were getting more of the same.

    Question on the mission to defeat the Seer elite boss(sorry, forgot the mission name already). Besides dying then going back in to defeat the mobs of seers and PPD, how did any of you handle the initial ambush? I had almost defeated the EB, with the daughter's help, when I was swarmed and both of us were crushed. Is that where the shadowy presence would have been useful to avoid the mob? If I had a couple temporary powers that time in addition to my vet powers, I think I could have defeated the EB before the mobs arrived. Even with the daughter, I could not damage her quickly enough due to the -recharge from her psi attacks.

    Joining a busy SG might be another way to group up, or try various global channels like Cozmic's Playground or PinnBadges.
    I haven't had much luck with PinnBadges and I don't want to spam it with requests. Watching the channel, it looks to be more conversations than a tool for finding teams. I found it rather cliquish, unfortunately. I will keep trying though.

    Haven't tried Cozmic so thanks for the heads up.
  5. Is everyone deciding to solo Praetoria first or are many people playing hero/villain instead? Fullest I've seen the servers in a long time and still can't get a team. Tried inviting some people but no responses. Anyone want to team?

    Send a tell to @magmafist if interested. I will be playing for a few more hours still.

    I'm all for making GMs more interesting to fight. Lusca should be tearing up the docks and tossing ships or crates. I agree there is no urgency to fighting any of the GMs and I will only fight them if I'm in a helpful mood.

    I'm hoping someday we will see a game that has a more interactive environment. While not what I was hoping for but at least a start, I played some of the GR levels at Comic-con and you get a mission that has clickies(just collecting roses) out in the open world.

    Ditto. I really enjoyed this feature in WoW. Since I was on a PvP server and a mage, I really didn't like exploring and doing missions much so being transported to and from a dungeon was a great way to keep leveling my character.

    Also, weren't their rumors of cross-server team invites or was that just a bug on the Training server?

    I'm wondering if I should pre-order from Gamestop now. Is online ordering any different? Not that I need the pre-order bonus items but if I'm paying the same amount I might as well get them.

    I'm glad someone else sees this as well. I just got my 6 year badge but this continues a trend of rehashing old content by putting a slight spin just like power proliferation, epic power pools and I would go as far as saying even Inventions(we already had an enhancement system). I can say for sure the prospect of playing hero content again but with a villain does not really excite me. I just keep wondering if our game engine is too limited to provide us with anything truly new(e.g. AT specific missions where a force field defender could protect citizens from falling debris, mini-games where skill is necessary and winning equals clicking a glowie or more physics-oriented gameplay, as a few examples).

    That said, I will still be buying GR as I always look forward to new powersets and the zones designed with Ultra Mode in mind are something I can't wait to see since I love the exploration aspect.

    Yes, I noticed it and loved the Rikti Drones coming within melee range of my scrapper. They fixed it though.

    What I was really wondering if people have noticed melee attacks are not firing when trying to hit a fleeing foe, much like years ago. My scrapper is bumping into the foes backs and nothing happens until he gets a little ahead of them. Either that or they pause for a half a second to go around an object but even then it does not always fire even though it is obvious to me he is well within melee range.
  15. Nice to see some cross promotion even though it wasn't NCSoft's idea. Hopefully it means some Razer ads mention City of Heroes. I'm glad I didn't order yet. I was just going to buy the box when it hit a retail outlet(Best Buy, Wal-mart or Gamestop) but now will go ahead and pre-order.

    I can't stand the 1-20 levels anymore so nice to know there is a little perk to make them more bearable.

  17. Should they be looking to sell more things in a cash shop to make up the difference? Not that I actually think the game is taking a nose dive. According to the graph someone posted earlier it just looked like a slow attrition rate.

    I would be willing to buy teleporters, storage and a larger plot for my bases.
  18. Just like to add my own opinion of the new UI. Not a fan of it. I've tried to get used to it but I was able to do things more quickly with the old interface. Overly complicated with all the tabs on the bottom half imo but I do like the upper half where you can sort your searches. The last influence bid/post needs to go. The expanding boxes need to go unless you can close them up again or the market UI can always remember your last modification to its size/split screen adjustment. I hope the devs improve it in a patch within the next month or so and do not wait to add it as a QoL feature in the next Issue.

    Perhaps you missed that since the auction houses went off-line, you could not see any inventory indicating today's patch turned them back on since the OP can now see items.

    To the OP, I had this problem once. I logged off and then on to another character, noticed that character could grab salvage then re-logged my other character on and the buttons were no longer grayed out. Still sounds like an intermittent bug the devs need to look at.

  21. Too bad purples can't drop like this...at least for a short period. I don't mind the drop rate because like others, I actually use the temp powers now instead of saving them for those 'special' cases which hardly ever seem to come up or when they do, you still forget to use them.

    Hmm, makes me wonder how well a free weekend would go if it was increased recipe drop rate instead of double xp.
  22. I just logged in with a different character and noticed the Get, Post, etc buttons are working so I re-logged my other character. The buttons are now available and I can get my salvage.
  23. I'm having the same problem. I bought some Event salvage to get a costume slot, 1 each, but I cannot collect any of them. The Get button is not highlighted. Actually, no buttons on a per item basis are highlighted for me such as Get, Post, Cancel. Only Get all influence works. As far as my bought items, I tried dragging, double-clicking and right-clicking but I see no way of getting them.
  24. Am I missing something obvious? I purchased some salvage, I'm looking under the Bought tab but the Get button is not highlighted. Tried double-clicking the salvage, dragging it, etc. How do I get my salvage? Another thing but I found a workaround is posting items and you enter an amount, the Post button does not highlight but you can just hit Enter. Are these buttons bugged?

    And just a minor nitpick but placing a bunch of salvage then going through each to price them is a little annoying as you jump down to the next item and it expands. Also, not sure how I feel about the price being pre-populated after the first item is priced. I could possibly see some issues here like when we didn't have commas and mistakes were made.

    Edit, ok found another nitpick. Since we do have all these expanding boxes of info any time we click an item, it would be nice if the auction UI would remember the size and adjustment to the lower half. Just tried closing/opening the UI a few times. Sometimes it remembers the adjustments made but after the fourth click, it went back to its default.


    Update: Logged into another character and they had all the buttons available so logged back on with the character that had the grayed out buttons and they were now highlighted for my 'troublesome' character. I can now get the salvage.
  25. Ok, wasn't just me. I had been trying out DP and DS characters on the Test servers along with some high level toons. Hope they restore it but if they don't, I know the risk exists they can do a wipe any time.
