Lol, well then I'll be there with my WS or tank if needed. :-)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Either that, or wait to Go Rogue(tm).

    Seeya there!
  2. Y'all got a time, son? (Or am I missing it somewhere?)
  3. Throw me down for this. Blackest Light, Warshade.

Ready! (but willing to stand aside if other people need the badge)

This, but I AM itching to try my Crabbie on a Master run.
  5. Welcome to the /invite gang.

(This actually brings up a fair point... if farm crews have laid claim to a zone, why can't the regular teamers? We could declare another zone AE as the "regular teaming" location. Talos is one convenient "hub" for mid-range players, as is Sharkhead... all it takes is repetition and word of mouth.)

Anyway, enough of the digression. /signed. Thanks for standing up and taking the Leader Lollipop.

I have also observed that if you should be one of the winners to advance, that if you are a slow zoner you may miss the 2 minute countdown and be left out.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, the process can be quite delicate. My crew saw the same thing. We had one set where the "declared winner" was the only person playing in rounds 2 and 3 because of the network lag consideration.
  7. [ QUOTE ]
I always won the matches I was fighting against last night but I *never* got pulled into a 2nd round?

How does it work, do you win your round - go back to Arena click on the kiosk thing and get pulled into round 2?

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's the basic structure, yeah. A Swiss Draw has 8 players in four "duel" setups. The winner of each round moves on to round 2 after going to the kiosk area for two minutes. Then it repeats: The winners of those two duels move on to round three after a 2 minute reprieve at the kiosks.

If you're not sure you're still in the running after a round, click on a kiosk. If you are, it'll give you the swiss draw stats. If not, you'll get the regular arena menu, with the ability to check out the swiss draw stats in the lower right.

The Freedom badge crews farmed this up last week pretty easily (except for my team, which had a number of bugs hit us to delay our progress noticeably, but still able to get it done). Before the swiss draw starts, declare who should "win", and everyone else quit out during the timer (to be safe, I did it around the 10 second mark), EXCEPT the designated winner, who'd wait for confirmation of winning before exiting. The method worked quite well.

    Hello Freedom

    [ QUOTE ]
And yes, I do realize that this post was pretty much meaningless. lol

    [/ QUOTE ]

You just described the Forum Cartel Plan for Posting Dominance.

Welcome to the conversation. Be prepared for morons, know-it-alls, egoistes and drama queens. And then you'll get to the Freedom boards!
  9. Rex Obscura. Lvl 50 Crab Soldier.

Can't wait to take on all those 5th in the last mish.

Turg, I thought about just not going, but then I realized, "what if the fire is close my power lines or internet hub? so I get up and go instead of gaining xp.....such is life I guess." =D

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Sweet Christmas, you're right.

I'm exactly the opposite. I like to type "/i NAME" so I know the name of whom I'm talking to right off the bat.

    (lol nubs)

    [/ QUOTE ]

...and the person you are talking had sent the message via global from @NAME & is also on /ghide how do you know who to /i NAME without going the extra step of /getlocalname @NAME?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    "/t @Mr E-Man, Toon name?"

That method works just fine for me.
  12. Let me just say, I was offended that Numina refused to enter that nice field of green Devcon and I set up for her. Whatta waste.

Other than that: Fun times! I'll gladly run this again for drogoh's sakes, just name the day!
  13. [ QUOTE ]
Internet what is this you speak of. Is this some sort of new fangled device?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    You tell me.

    (Wait for it, people.)
  14. [ QUOTE ]
I'm now waiting for them to increase the max count per server to more than 36

    [/ QUOTE ]

*facepalm* You kids. You don't appreciate what you have. Back in my day, you just had eight slots per server. And we were HAPPY!

    /billycrystal
  15. [ QUOTE ]
I think I will, if I can find it in the store. :-S (I'm at work until 5 pm CST).

    [/ QUOTE ]

FYI: You can buy the slots in-game. Login to COH, pick your server, and on the character list, click on the "Store" icon. You'll see your options there. Buy the server slot five-pack for $20, it'll get credited to the CC you have assigned to your CoX subscription.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
So.... you get paid to sit around and surf the interent. Nice.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nothing's hotter than the interent these days. You should try it.

    (And, "twit.")
  17. Throw me down for this, if you'd be so kind, Luna. I've come to realize I'm staying up 'til 1am anyway, even when I have to wake up at 6am, so I might as well get something outta it.

    Blackest Light (Warshade),
    Cerulean Skie (Elec/Elec Blaster), or
Ultima Ratio Regum (BS/Shield Scrapper, freshly transferred from Champion at lvl 25)

Gonna join Freedom TF Chat finally and get into gear with the runs I've been wishing I could do since this spring. :P
  18. I'm exactly the opposite. I like to type "/i NAME" so I know the name of whom I'm talking to right off the bat.

    (lol nubs)
  19. [ QUOTE ]
That always help, so what do you do all day that you can keep up on the forums?

    [/ QUOTE ]

IT Sysadmin. I keep the COH forum, the IRON forum, Fark and CNN open in Chrome, and I use IE8 for all my work browsing. Chrome sits on the right monitor, Outlook and Active Directory sit on the left. Google Talk is in between the two.

And when I'm feeling frisky? I'll load EditPad and go through all of my story ideas and revisions for MA. :P
  20. [ QUOTE ]
Go for the 5, you'll appreciate it

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yep. Bought my first block of five slots earlier this week cuz I used up all the free ones I've earned over the years. It's quite liberating.
  21. Turgenev

    Statues?

What the other two have already said. Sadly, I had to nuke that corridor earlier this year to accommodate base expansion, and haven't sat down to recreate it. (Doing a full control hall of fluorescent white tiles on the ceiling is mind-numbing at best.)

My quick tip for everyone that hates blind invites and PM's:

type /hide into your chat box. The "Hide" menu pops up, select "Hide from Searches". That will instantly stop most of your blind invites and PM's, while leaving you still visable to your friends, chat channels, super group, etc. As soon as I create a toon, I go into hiding.

    Luna

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've lived in /ghide ever since the feature came out.
  23. Well, I'm answered.

(Guess it helps that you own the shop!)
  24. [ QUOTE ]
How about making a way for those of us who had accounts active before and after that 1 month when the 1st anniversary badge was available to be able to get it?

I played from Dec 2004 to Feb 2005, took some months off came back and much later became a badger and realized that this one was one of the very few that I couldn't go back and get.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The current "by design" format works fine for me. If your toon was logged in during the 720 hours of any anniversary login window, you get the badge. Ta-da. Life goes on.
  25. [ QUOTE ]
I don't remember if I posted or not previously, but I'll be using my Rad/Rad when I can participate. I can only participate 2 out of every 3 weeks accordingly, of course this is always subject to change. But since the other night playing on the Mender TF that I got a run during a critical moment on the team, and had to get kicked. I decided I can't be doing TF's at work if I'm in a Tanker/Defender capacity or even troller really. Just because it can put too much of a damper on the teams ability to function.

    See you guys there!

    [/ QUOTE ]

IMO, I wouldn't worry about it, although teaming while working should have a caveat for the other players that you might be called off to save REAL lives at any given time. Except for the STF/LRSF, any other format can stand to lose a member or two. (These two are much less forgiving, but still doable.)

If you wanna roll the tank/def, I'd probably mention it's a good idea to have a valid backup on the team, and that you'd be keeping to a support role because of circumstance.

Or, you could just not put out fires. I mean, XP is at stake here, yo.
