  1. Welcome, Freedomites and server guests alike!

On April 8th, NCNorCal will be releasing 'Issue 14: Architect' to the general public. This is the first time the PLAYERS get to tell the stories WITHIN the City of Heroes gaming format itself!

Freedomites know each other; we hang with each other; we rumble with each other; and yeah, we get into some really awesome flame wars with each other. At the end of the day, we're all about "us". But when it comes to Architect... having to dig our arcs out amongst the thousands of My Deep And Tragic QQ Life Story arcs from all the other servers is going to add a lot of confusion, when all we wanna do is find out what our local peeps are up to in Architect.

TO THAT END: I propose a Freedom-focused "Comix Rack", where any of our local authors can post their published mission arcs, once Issue 14 hits! (This is meant for 'Live' server arcs only, as the Arc IDs won't match between Test and Live!)

    1. So, how should I advertise my arc? Simple! Follow the basic format below!

    Arc ID:
    Faction:
    Your global/forum name:
    Difficulty Level:
    Recommended Team Size:

    [/ QUOTE ]

    2. Should I comment here if I liked a mission arc? Preferably, no. Please keep this thread for announcements instead of commentaries. You can follow the mission author's "link to more info/comments" and express your opinions there, to keep everything in one place! (A good place for a feedback thread is in 'Stories & Lore' - see below.)

    3. Where can I get more info about the Architect system? Good question. Have you been keeping up with the news? Try any of these links for background info:

The Mission Architect FAQ - The official CoX "Frequently Asked Questions" posting for Architect.

Mission Architect: Stories and Lore - The sub-forum dedicated to servers-wide discussions on arcs, background, mechanics, etc. Great place for feedback threads for your personal arcs!

ParagonWiki's 'Mission Architect' - When in doubt, check a wiki. A CoX-community Wiki clearing house of all things spandex!

    ...

Why are you still reading this? Pick up a Freedom Comic, kick back, and have fun!

(Thanks to Ex Libris for the general formatting, and ElectroHawk from Champion server for the inspiration!)

And this for enemy factions in the MA

    [/ QUOTE ]

I remember the old Axis America missions where there were swastika flags all over the place (with the garbled Hitler speech on the PA). Those got taken out when the 5th got replaced by the Council which also coincided with the release of CoX in the EU, some countries of which have some pretty interesting laws concerning content in entertainment media (Germany has some pretty strict ones the whole Nazi thing, iirc).

    [/ QUOTE ]

    1. You're a jerk for not posting on Freedom that you're back. HAET. WB, Umbral.

    2. I loved those old Axis missions, but they didn't have swastika flags all over; they were 5th-inspired flags, but no swastikas. And if I recall rightly, that was a Russian track, not German.

    Now, onto flags:

I'd love it if they expanded it not just to capes, but to chest patterns and whatnot. This is one of my all-time fav heroes:

    Jenny Sparks, of the Authority

Having that as a valid t-shirt option would go a long way too, as it would fit my soccer hooligan scrapper, Anarki Rex.
  3. Well, if y'all are cool with it, here ya go. (And Lasc, Mission Architect is live on ALL servers, much like the market system. Publish on one, and it goes out to all.)

Arc Name: Turg Fiction: Ghost in the Machine, Act I
    Arc ID: 18982
    Faction: Heroic
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Turgenev (Live and Test)
Difficulty Level: Best played from 35-50. Middling to Hard, solo to full team.

Synopsis: Wherein the old is new again; the dead may live; and our hearts will sing where our mind knows not the tune. - On one fateful day, our hero comes across an old Arachnos training simulation regarding a mysterious enemy. And on that fateful day, your life will never again be the same. (Act I of III)

    * is doubly tingly for I 14

    [/ QUOTE ]

And this is the reason why I suddenly disappeared a week or two ago. I've been hammering at a maxi-arc idea that I've had ever since the Architect idea came around!

*looks around* So what did I miss?
  5. Hmm. My winter home is on Champions. Does that make me valid for posting here? I don't wanna step on any toes.

Great idea, EH! I might suggest something similar for Freedom!

This weekend, in the first mission of a failed MoSTF attempt, BrainyBoy finally became a Hero of the City. My first of many future 50s on the Freedom server.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Fixed. Grats, BB!
  9. I can try to be around tonight. The last week's been murder, I could use a brain break.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
At least the Watchmen was exceptionally awesome.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Meh. 7/10 on likeability. Rorshach was superlatively handled, however.
  11. I'm out for most of Sunday. Guests coming over for some local quality dim sum, then enjoying our hospitality with the new 50" plasma.

I know, it sounds dirty, right?
  12. [ QUOTE ]
I am genetically incapable of getting up that early on a Saturday.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Same, although I'll get up to feed Thor around 7:30a, just cuz it's what he expects from his handlers. Then he lets us sleep 'til 10ish.
  13. [ QUOTE ]
    Follow-up to yesterday's post...

    Stitches Out

    [/ QUOTE ]

At least yours come out. I got the dissolvable ones, and one of them is sticking out like a plastic fastener like you get with sale tags on clothing. I wanna yank it out, but I'm thinking that qualifies as a Really Bad Idea(tm).
  14. I am happy to add that Team Turg (really just Zane and me) ran one Freakshow mish on Unyielding, and I had a great time watching the defender take first aggro on a regular basis. My scrapper has a new meatshield, and its name... is Zane.

Okay so it looks like Friday night is looking good so far as we've got the minimum four people available for Friday at .... let's say 7:30PM EST. Here's the link to the Synapse TF page at ParagonWiki.

Hulkbuster -- were you available this Friday night?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Can you make it 8:30? I work late Fridays, I won't be home 'til at least 7:45.
  17. I can do Fri nite, prolly all day Saturday depending on time. Sunday's a maybe too, for the same reason. I got Rex to 20, so he should be good for a Posi or a Synapse.
  18. Hrm. Maybe? I know that I've gotten 10 applicants so far, and all of them were flagged as Member status or greater within an hour or so of their submission; the forum restrictions appear to permit public and member postings (the public being the General Discussion folder for now), so I dunno... AFAIK, if I flag you as a member, it should also flag you as "joined", I think...
  19. Hrm. matikz just made a post in the Members board...

    http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?Gu...TopicID=7978208

Try responding to that post and see if it continues to barf. If not, try on that board, and then other boards, and see where the faults are. I'll doublecheck permissions, but it should be all simply "members only can post", and everyone's at "least" a member. (I wouldn't imagine it excluding Officer- or Admin-level membership, right?...)
  20. Hey, request: Can you guys try using the GP forum now for posting? So far I'm the only one who's posted, and I don't know if that's cuz people haven't tried it yet, or people just CAN'T post. It'll also help keep the TF run arrangements segregated and neat, methinks.

Here's a link, for the linkishly challenged.

Hrm. Cap.Off doesn't have enough prestige right now for me to experiment. I'm gonna cook up my concept idea on Freedom and you can pop in to check it out, cool?

    [/ QUOTE ]

What?? I got you 80,000 prestige! *cracks the whip at everyone else*

    [/ QUOTE ]

Zilcho spent it all on dancers.

  23. I have a "capitol" pillar design and lighting scheme in mind. I'll whip up a room for you to look at, see if you like where it's going with general theme. I'd rather try for the more regal opportunity if we can, but it shouldn't be too hard, esp. with raid pathing relaxed to where we can get really creative with base items.
  24. Okay, Aett is a Super-A with all but site rights (guess who'll be promoting applicants? That's right, Aett!), and Zilch is on with Officer rights (which should give everything but the site/member permissions, I THINK).
