    I don’t have any interest in the new power sets coming out, but I cant wait for the gfx upgrade. I think that would be muchly needed and gives us vets a new feel to an old game.

  6. I Just finished the center lava room. It took just under 1800 units and over 24 hours of game time. Here are pictures of the outer shell. You can see the tunnels below the lava which are hidden on the overview shot from below. Enjoy!










  7. Nice. On my list of things to do is to make a floating base inside a giant orb. This gave me some ideas.
  8. Good news, the cat is back from the vet so I will finsih the room this weekend.
  9. Been busy with RL. I actually took in a stray cat over the weekend has been at the vet all week with possible leukemia. Anyway...I should finish the lava this week. I just laid out the floor tile to do so.

    Note that the trees are very useful for "obscuration" to hide the fact that I've got stairs hanging in the air without adequate supports.

    For those who are curious, the Room Lighting is "off" and all light is supplied by local sources ... resulting in an "islands of warmth and comfort" feeling.

    So there you have it.
    A 3 floored Workshop Room.
    And I've still got a huge 3x3 set of floor blocks to fill out with yet more decorations.
    The thing I like the most is your use of wood objects and trees. It has a serene feel which I think works really well and you don’t see don’t to often. I appreciate work like this, nice job!

    It doesn't matter though, you're way is just as good.
    I was at first, but when I made the tunnels, I wanted to cover them so I added the dirt floor to make it look like lava instead. I think it creats "flow", something like real lava has.
  15. I messed around with the room color and covered the front tunnels. This is a mini teaser as to what the whole base of the room will look like. I still have to work on the center mountain with the energy unit, oh and I changed the tech floor to arcane.







  16. Updated pictures. I added some more tunnels and closed off some rooms. Next I need to add the bridge to the other side then the lava to cover the tunnel tops. After that I will add the arcane floor and walls and change the room color to red.

  19. Thanks, glad you guys are liking it so far. As for new pictures, I will post tomorrow. I made some minor changes in the back end of the room. I should be done come mid next week with this room, then off to the control room.
  20. Much has been speculated about what the devs should do to bases. But the fact is, we aren’t going to see changes for some time. The base building community is much smaller then the average player who looks for content and continued growth. As much as I would like to see personal rooms, new wallpapers, new objects etc., I doubt we will be seeing changes soon.

    Believe me, I am on board with all of you. If we all vote me in as a dev, I will quit my job and make sure bases are my first and ONLY priority! Lets start the petition!
  21. LOL at 3 Mile for going the extra mile when really you should have been resting since that bear attacked you when you were camping and pillaged the local community nearby. Then sat in the kids sandbox looking at them like he wanted to play when really the kids were thinking about banjo Kazooie and started to jump on his lap which enraged the bear so much that he tossed the kids in the air and shook them like a Polaroid picture.

  23. You should download the latest version of Mids at http://www.cohplanner.com/. Mess around with that and you can come up with something near, if not 45%. If you have questions, PM me.
  24. To be honest, I really like what you have done. I cant offer you any criticism because im more familiar with tech units then arcane, but if I do, I’ll PM you.
  25. Here are the most recent pictures. Ignore the stacked lights as they are temporarily placed to help stack the stones but will be removed once the room is near completion. The center of the mountain holds an arcane energy unit and the floor holds a series of tunnels leading to other rooms that are hidden. The tunnels will be covered by dirt mounts thus hiding them which will create the effect of lava. The only way to access the tunnels will be through the mountain itself inside the energy unit.







    Next I am going to close off all the rooms and add the bridge to the other side. Here is the plot update.
