edit: for those of you that require more info. lvl range is 24-33 (higher lvls can join, just will be exemp to 33) and it should take no longer than 2hrs.

psi seems to be the worst effected by ED then.. at least with the others u can enhance the secondary effects of powersets (i.e. dark blast -acc, rad -def etc)

the way i see it is that the secondary defender sets are mainly ur attack powers (hence the reason the are called ** blast) that then offer another bonus that helps. i.e. dark puts -acc things on enemies whereas psy puts -recharge on them and elec drains endurance. each set also gets a few holds/immobilizers/sleep powers aswell.

so basically i think its just a case of uterlisin these added bonuses.

before ED my attacks were the standard 1 acc 5 dmg. but now i am most probably goin to be placin tohitdebuff enhancements into the blasts aswell.. that way i'm doin less dmg but i'm also gettin hit less

mayb if u want to stick with psy u shud try thinkin about puttin -rechrg enhc (if there is such a thing), this would obviously cause the enemy to attack less and therefore deal less dmg.

well if u interested in joinin the relevant sg's for your AT then the contact people are:

SNHS - all defenders - myself (Tufty), Electrify or Rocket Girl
Armoured Core - Tanks - Pyrius or Mr Knockout (maybe Mr., if u r online with ur tank and want to join but cant get hold of anyone try finding my tank Granite Yak, and i'll confirm their names and if they r on or not ), there are a few more captains aswell.
Union Overlords - controllers - Okton, Inspector Frost, Illusion Gem or Gaea's Herald

contact either one of them in game with ur relevent AT character and i'm sure they'd be happy to invite.

consider join the 1AT SG coalition.. basically your AT will determine which SG you join but there is a big coalition between them so there is nearly always somone around.

SGs that make up the coalition are:
SNHS - defenders
Precision Rangers - blasters
Armoured Core - tanks
Team G.B.H - scrappers
Union Overlords - Controllers

then there are a few more sgs in the coalition aswell, dark wings, scrapocalypse!11!1!! etc etc

was a bit pee'd off when i got home yesterday so i actually found it a very good stress relief. Having a part time char that doesnt really matter if u get debt on is good.. can jump in and be as suicidal as i like.. surprised i only face planted 2 times last night.. silly gragnok or whatever he was called

on another note has anyone tried ED and not liked it and decided to retire the def?

personally i've been gettin on ok with it, its actually done my a favour with the free respec and stuff, i wasnt really payin attention to my slots or enhc's.. just basically placed enhc that i picked up in missions. around about lvl29 i started to relise i need to do sumthin but didnt have a respec or the inf to upgrade everythin and didnt think it was worth it at that lvl either. so luckily i got to lvl32 in time for this

anyway, i done a full respec on friday nite and sold all my enhc's. spent 2.5m inf on brand new ones and i dont think ED has done anythin to make me enjoy the game less.

with only 3 heal SO's in twilight grasp instead of 5 i've only lost about 40 hitpoints on it (still at +345). My stamina does go down now when i'm in full tavel mode (super jump, sprint, shadow fall etc etc) but when in missions i just turn of sprint and sj and my end seems fine. my fearsome stares and tenticles are hittin and i can easily control most groups. and my snipe (with a red insp and tar patch) is doin up to 200pts damage. and then theres my darkest night.. just pop that on a boss thats causin my grief and he cant hit me

started doin the manticore tf saturday (all lvl 32 or 33) and we were easily goin thru +3s/+4sso all in all i cant say that i've been made worse off because of the changes. every power does what i need it to do. i'm takin less dmg because i've been utilisin the spare slots of my powers with ToHitDebuffs, and i also respec in assault into my build so cant really see me doin any less dmg than i was before.

so i'm still a happy tufty and i've still got nigel to keep me company

tbh i prefer the A symbol and black and white aswell... altho i dont mind ark blue.

deffinately prefered the old symbol over the new one tho

i'm only lvl12 atm so perminately in sg mode.

if peeps r put of the colours remember that u dont actually need to have them on the be in sg mode (altho i'm only gettin bout 6 prestige per kill but every little helps ).. i have my costume exactly the same in or out of sg mode.

also this salvage doodah. do we just hand it all other to pyrius? if collected about 6 bits and dont own CoV so i cant use it.

tryin to keep my tank active. tufty will always come first tho

but yes, my plain was to use all armours + tough until granite becomes available. i'm only lvl9 atm so got along way to go

useful guide. would recommend anyone of thinkin of rollin a tank read it. i got so fed up with the amount of low damage scrankers out there i decided to roll my own tank a couple of weeks ago. plannin it a few times i only ended up with about 3 attacks

on a similiar note is it worth a tank gettin and slottin tough from the fightin pool?

yup the rangers r a great bunch. recommend any blasters lookin for an sg join them

and don't forget about the coalitions aswell. u can get some really good teams going... plus tufty's chest size marker was maxed out when i created her so if ur into that sort of thing come and join

i'm guessin all the powers are the same as a drk/drk defender? (altho i can see u took tentacles at 8..not avail to 16 on defs).

if the powers r the same then some things u might want to consider (well things that i find useful anyway).

1: moonbeam. its a snipe available at lvl4 that does about the same dmg as 1 gloom + 1 dark blast. with the amount of tohit debuffs darks put on things it can be reliable to use in mid battle without bein interupted.

2: consider puttin some tohitdebuffs into darkest nite

3: mayb put some damage resistance into shadow fall.

thats what i am plannin to do for my def anyway... guess i'll soon find out if it works or not.

its all to do with everyones favorite word.. "balancing"

obviously a tank is still useful. but as unthing says u r probably gonna need more than 1 to be safe.

shame really, i've got a low lvl tank runnin around hollows atm and was enjoyin roundin up a mass of lvl6 outcasts but nvrmind

and on another note i guess when Elec gets back he needs to sort out all the new sg ranks and permissions and decide if we are havin a base or not.

if anyone actually bothered usin the forums i set up i wud make a poll askin if people wanted one or not but nvrmind
