If we have a main tank and a backup, then probably best to bring your scrapper with you. I'm going to be on perimeter duty as normal this week, might have two teams up, depends on numbers
-
worst case scenario, give me a shout too and I can move a chunk across. I'm leaving work @ 5 tonight, so should be on hand early to get setup

Just give the word boss -
Course I'll try and save you a spot, but I would like to grab ya sometime to discuss an idea that I ran by Crimson earlier in the week
-

Bridger put some installation notes for the test server up -
I'm definately game for a little reconnisance when I9 comes out
-
As it looks like Issue 9 has hit a closed test period on the US servers, it does mean that after a period of testing that our own test server will get updated as well.
Was wondering what you guys thought of running a raid on test when this happens so that we can can see what new tactics and changes have been made to Hami. -
Even the guard thread is quiet, although the issue 9 stuff on test has taken a lot of focus off current activities.
Speaking of which - I'm thinking when the new Hami goes live that we take a group of volounteers into the hive, spend a night working out how the big jelly's changed and what we can do about it. -
you did good for a first outing Tera
very well done to all, might need to grab the regulars in the next few days to update you guys on a few bits if you have a few moments -
raid tonight went very very well, once again everyone on guard duty did a grand job of monitoring the situation and responding accordingly!
Have a few news updates for later in the week, need to grab a few people on chat first to clarify some info! -
hmm, there was a stalker on warburgs Hero boat tonight who commented that he only got droned because he unhid to try and AS someone.
I do find PVP slightly dissapointing sometimes, I'd love to see running battles through the streets of the PVP zones etc as some of these zones are intended, but it seems to degenerate to duelling, PvE only or running around each other with travel powers -
will definately be there early this week, managed to get a sensible friday shift at last!!!
-
friday evenings rock, the only thing that would make them better for me is getting out of work earlier lol
-
well thats what the guard is for, keeping an eye on things and backing each other up to keep the raid safe
-
well the main thing of course is that the raid was a success and casualties were are a minimum. I'm still in the hive ( alt tabbed out ) to oversee the exit, everything appears to have gone smoothly!
Which is NEVER a bad thing in my opinion!
As stated much earlier in the thread, I'd rather we were in place in case of accidents and griefing and not be needed, than not be there and have failed raids!
All in all though, I'm exceptionally chuffed with everyone thats taken part in this so far -
sigh...
as I said quite a few times already, we didn't see any player based aggro of the GM's. We havn't ruled it out though as it is still a possibility of the cause of the attacks. You talk about refusing to read posts, then totally skip a few yourself!
The Guard arent "fantasticially important" as you put it, but our controller group for the holding phase are, which is the primary task of the perimeter guard.
Defend them, whatever the cost to ourselves.
Now, ticking off aside, unfortunately I will be a tad late again tomorrow because of work, but I intend to be there as soon as possible.
Same setup as before chaps, although an even spread of guard members across teams might keep things smooth across the brawl phases! -
I take more offence to them not reading the proceeding posts about what the PG do as opposed to the misplaced term of n00b, but each to their own!
ta anyways Bridger, nice to see the proverbial Hammer coming down hehe -
That in itself is a brilliant idea Raz!!
less chance of anyone drawing aggro accidentally, plus the benefit of increased scouting ability!
Definately looking for a few volounteers for this!!! -
either way, we'll keep an eye on things Lost
-
I've rolled a MM without minions using pistols, and so far having got to level 10 with hasten, end red on the pistols and some planning, its really fun to play!
bloody challenging though! -
As mentioned above, we've had no evidence to suggest that, but it's not been ruled out. We'll continue to monitor and intervene where nessecary to continue the comfotrable successes we have enjoyed so far
-
Well we thought that griefing might have been the case from the week before, so this week we intentionally kept an eye on player movement as well.
From the people I've spoken too I have no evidence of player involvement in the GM encounters at the end of Mito Clearing or after the Bud Drop. Personally I havn't ruled it out and will be monitoring future raids equally closely.
Regardless of the situation however, we do have regular GM encounters during the raids and I know from reading the raid thread on Defiant heroes that your "GM team" proved an unpopular idea.
Guess what though, this isn't defiant and the Perimeter Guard WILL be on hand for future raids. -
the new style Hami is much smaller and spams heals on himself from what we can see in the screenshots.
Not sure if they changed the encounter or anything, but the last few times the controllers have taken him down, GM creatures in the crater that were minding their own business had just piled straight into the middle of the crater ( where most people do Hami-O swapshop and partying after the raid ) and proceeded to try and flatten everyone! -
First off...
Please dont flame threads!
Second of all...
We don't pull GM's into groups, in fact we are trying to slow them down, but its difficult to pull aggro off of large tank groups that are trying to help take down said GM.
We do clear Mito's, quite well in fact. And I personally think its more "nooby" to sit on cowards hill and do nothing rather that put yourself between GM's and the raid group.
Counterattack has happened a few times now on Union. Its not just a few of us thats noticed it, hence why the Perimeter Guard were formed in the first place, because its members are there to do more than just leech a Hami-O.
