IMO mocking with other people's religional or national values a bit out of way. Those values can be right or wrong but we should respect their sacred feelings.
[/ QUOTE ]
Straying OT, but while I wouldn't mock other people's religious beliefs here (it's against the EULA, after all...in other circumstances, though...) they aren't getting a free "respect" pass from me just because the label "religious" is attached.
[/ QUOTE ]
As i said everyone have their own right to belive what they think it is worth to believe but giving a link about a religionous site with insulting words wasn't necessary. As FFM said there are many stupid thinks running around on the net.
I never think "religion" is an off topic for discussions but it is, when it comes to insults or humiliation. At least not in this place...
[/ QUOTE ]
I probably better let this slide, but I just can't. So I'm going to make this one post and leave it at that.
Just for the fun of it, read a bit through this site: FSDT. It collects quotes from religeous forums and blogs from all over the internet, people who I should respect according to you. Religeous extremists like young earth adherents and the likes, are NOT worthy of my respect. period. -
It does change. The SG my brother and me are running (Callous Crew) just made the top 100 earlier this week, and is currently at place 96
-
And closing down servers helps to bring new people in how exactly?
-
there's a new badge for logging in, and 3 new ones for the new ski slope
-
My brother and me are having the same issue. I have no idea when it started acting like that, but I'm fairly sure it isn't since Issue 13, so the patch from the 9th indeed looks like a good bet to me .

Sewers work best in groups. Villians prefer to solo.
So imo it is not needed or for me even wanted. Just go hunt the streets if you like. Plenty of walking xp around there.
[/ QUOTE ]
I find that on villains I'm forced to solo. Would much rather team but its difficult to get a team and keep it together. Don't see why, surely outnumbering your opponents is more evil?
[/ QUOTE ]
I find it the opposite actually. In villains once you have a team gathered you're good for several missions. On heroes I have to replace 1-4 people every mission ... -
I was just wondering if there were more people with this problem since I haven't seen or heard it mentioned anywhere on the forums, in game or in the known issues.
On my peacebringer I had the following macros:
/macro nova "goto_tray 4$$powexec_toggle_on bright nova"
/macro dwarf "goto_tray 5$$powexec_toggle_on white dwarf"
/macro human "goto_tray 1$$powexec_toggle_off bright nova$$powexec_toggle_off white dwarf"
Now everytime I zone 1 of those macros would loose the $$ and everything after it. So when I clicked the 'human' macro to edit it, it would look like this: "goto_tray 1"
It always happens to just 1 of the macros per time I zone and it appears completely random to wich one it happens.
The strange part is that since I have made the macros like this: "powexec_toggle_on bright nova$$goto_tray 4",
it doesn't happen anymore. -
Sooo ... you don't want more fantasy stuff but you DO want wizard robes and skimpy elven outfits? How does that work out?
Also, this cracked me up -
[ QUOTE ]
Also if its not swords and sorcery, why release the past few issues weapon customisation and shields followed by this booster?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, because the superhero genre doesn't use weapons and shields and magic! not ever! -
Poop, I was hoping it would be Rulaaru, including a Shadow Shard make over and having it made available to villains.
Oh well ... the 5th is nice too. -
A TF does sets it's missions to the rep of the teamleader.
Are you sure that the teamleader didn't disconnect during the first mission, passing the star to the second (with his rep on invincible)?
Anyway if something like that happens again, make sure everyone has set his rep to villainous (you can do that mid TF) and then *all* log out for 5 minutes. When you log back in the mission will have ressetted itself to the rep of the first person to log back in. -

Brutes
Brute - Soul Mastery - Dark Blast replacing Gloom
Brute - Soul Mastery - Darkest Night replacing summon widow, reduced debuff effect
Brute - Mace Mastery - Focused Accuracy - Decreased to-hit buff, added accuracy buff. Provides same total bonus in PVE.
Brute - Leviathan Mastery - Arctic Breath replacing Bile spray - cone power similar to Freezing rain.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is not relevant anymore. Nothing is being replaced anymore, they are adding the new powers as a 5th power to the pools instead. For Soul Mastery Gloom is staying in and Darkest Night is being added as the 5th power. -
I like the new site design. It's much more streamlined and clearer than the current EU design, wich is a bit chaotic and not very intuitive imo. But most importantly, for me, the menus navigate a lot faster than the current ones.

I personally have no problems at all soloing my lvl 36 SO slotted katana/SR stalker on Relentless. Just took out 2 Ballistas in Tech Naylors arc too. It is a bit heavy on the endurance yes, but that's what blues and rest are for.
And what -25% heal effectiveness are you talking about? You mean the one mentioned by Castle in his PvP Powers Changes post? -
My main is a dark/dark built for team support. and imo blackstar underperforms compared to other nukes, but it still is a nuke, so i took it
If you think nuking is fun, take it. If you don't, skip it. You won't miss it. Don't use it when the team is relying primerely on you for heals and buffs, because you are right in fearing that the nuke isn't powerfull enough to warant the downtime. If a brute or dom isn't holding most of the agro it'll probably get you killed, tohit debuff or not.

I was there too, it was indeed a memorable event
Though I have to admit that after the mass self destruct we moved our SG ToT team to Grand Ville 2 (!!) because there was a lot less lag there -
We already get 2 new powersets spread over 5 different ATs in Issue 13. That will give me at least 2 new characters to play which means I'll have to buy more slots *again*. So I'm good
Although I really would've liked a Broadsword/shield brute... -
It was an awesome run! Great job all.
I'm so glad Selena finally got this wretched badge (ooh shiney!).
Funny I have attempted this at least 10 times before, mostly on 'perfect' teams, and always failed. And now on what was going to be just a nice little run with my SG (none of them 'powerplayers' and some of them have plain SO builds) we breeze through it without any major problems. Even when the whole Freedom Phalanx showed up when we only had numina halfway dead everyone kept their cool (awesome tanking there Evil!)
player skill >>> 1.5 billion infamy build. -
as someone with the same problems as you (2 years on the game, 3 lvl 50 villains and a bunch of 35+, and only 2 heroes over 30) I can say that a grav/kin troller is mighty fun. Mine is one of those 2 heroes I have over lvl 30 and the only one I actually enjoy playing. The problem is that he's a part of a duo with a duo partner that hardly ever has time to play these days.
In the meantime I'm working through the lower 30's with my arch/fire blaster with an, imo, incredebly awesome concept but who is death boring to play in the hopes of getting her too 50 before I13 comes out, so I can start a peacebringer and see if those are any fun. -

But not changing pve powers is one thing but changing them for pvp will still make people think nerf, as what the devs think is "balance" is sometimes far from what the players think.
[/ QUOTE ]
Alright then, from the interview with Positron on MMORPG.com :
[ QUOTE ]
You mention the PvE and PvP Power Rebalancing. Im curious as to whether this means that players will have to get used to different rules for specific powers depending on whether Im in PvE or PvP?
Matt Miller:
Our powers team is only rebalancing the most over-powered powers and these balance changes only take effect in PvP enabled zones. These changes will not affect the PvE gameplay experience in any way.

*snip* Forgive me if I'm a little bitter.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why do people always start ranting without properly reading all the information? (No, you don't need to answer that.)
This should take out a big part of your bitternes. From Positron:
(emphasis mine)
[ QUOTE ]
PvE and PvP Powers Rebalancing: Floyd Castle Grubb and the powers designers have been hard at work in finding ways to strike a better balance between the many powers in the game. The scope of what they are doing is too broad to go into details here, but were very excited and well share more information soon. Suffice to say we know that you dont want your PvE powers adjusted because of how they play in PvP, so were taking a new tact in power balancing with Issue 13.
[/ QUOTE ] -
Going by a post Positron wrote 6 days ago it looks like Issue 13 has hit some bumps in the road and it's taking them a bit longer as expected to release some more info.
[ QUOTE ]
Ok, we know.
We should have had said something more by now, about Issue 13. But like all great architectural endeavors, Issue 13 is taking on a life of its own and were not quite ready to spill forth all the information.
So, just a quick note to say thanks for your patience, even though we know you may not really be patient. Trust us, its coming; were working on it and theres more great stuff coming (like you havent heard that before, but really, we mean it!)
Thanks!

I believe it has something to do with the US prices not including taxes where the EU prices do.
-
I'm actually kinda dissappointed by the announcement itself, not so much as the actual features. From practicly everything in it we already knew (well hoped/expected) it was coming in this issue or the next. The only 'new' thing is the 'day jobs' system wich is, to me, the least exciting of the whole list.
With all the fuss and anticipation Positron created for this announcement I was expecting something more ... spectacular to be anounced.
Doesn't change the fact that I13 is still going to be awesome though -
According to this post by Castle we very likely won't be getting any proliferation.
