Having said that, if someone really DOES feel the need to create or join a gay SG because he feels uncomfortable being himself around 'straight' (dumb word) people, or for whatever other reason, then by all means go ahead.

Actually, this whole discussion is kinda moot, because as far as I can see noone here in this topic is disagreeing on any of the important topics (Be yourself, and let others be theirselves.) so all of this is just talks in the margin.

I believe BaB said something about that a part of the work on colour customisation went to making sure that you could actually have black powers instead of the invisible effect you get on auras.

...and how long will it take us to get tired and fed up with the "new" content? How "New" will it be? When CoV came out there where some really new powersets and the MM was a new way of playing, and imho still the most interesting since different combinations definitely makes for deifferent game play, as for other ATs it makes little difference. (A blaster is a blaster is a blaster, with minor differences in game play compared to MM combinations)
If all we get are a few new zones to travel around in on our way to missions, generic missions with mostly old maps a few new powersets based on already existing stuff (malta gunslinger, cot demons) and one or two new Trials/T/SFs and the ability to swap sides, I can see a flood of whining on the new forum!
Of course we always have and always will demand more than we get, but as I suggested in the OP, we really should demand and expect something... special...

It's an expansion pack, going by just about every other expansion pack for every other game ever made it'll be more of the same that the original game had to offer with new story line maybe some new pc's and some tweaks and improvements thrown in ...
Which is just fine with me cause unlike some I actually enjoy the way this game plays.

If you take all your primary and secondary powers and 4 epic/patron powers, you'd still need to take 2 pool powers at lvl 24 and lvl30.

I don't think that's unfair at all, it's not like the vets haven't been at the 1 year mark... I waited ages because I wanted my Blackwand vet power.
Dont think per vet reward would be good tho, maybe an extra ench slot every 6 months would be a little less OP.
I def have some toons that are crying out for more slots,,, heck make them purchasable i'll still go for it!

Worst. idea. ever. ... Giving people serious ingame advantages over others by making them pay for it. The cries of Doom errupting from the forums following this would make the world go deaf. And I'd be crieing right allong with them, so much even that I might forget to pay my subs.
Passing enhancement slots out as vet rewards isn't much better.
