And they should update the enhancement slotting screen too, so I don't have to drop my enhancements next to the slot they're supposed to go into.

Why? What difference does it make? You can't spend any money on it yet either way. This way people at least know what it's going to cost them and they can budget ahead of time. Add to that that this is hardly the first company that announces the price of their game/expansion before all of its content is announced, and it appears that yet again, people are ******** just for the sake of ********.

Now, me not being able to get the boxed edition, THAT is something to start a forum riot over

Yea, things like that are usually the most fun part about this game. Doing a new TF/SF for the first time, with my brothers and some (ex-)SG mates is always great.

Too many people say that two things have the "same difference." They mean "same thing" or "no difference." You can only have the "same difference" if you are comparing two groups of items or two subtraction problems.

For example, a red car and a green car might have the same difference as a red truck and a green truck. Two items, however, cannot have the "same difference."
I know this. I still use the phrase "same difference" everytime I can, and I don't even speak English in daily life

Then you pay for both the preorder and the complete collection once it is released. It's what I would've done if the retail version of the complete collection would be available around these parts. That's the way it is. It's a shrewd marketing trick, but it doesn't even reach a one on my 'evil marketeers' scale. There's also no need to blame the devs for this, they didn't have a say in it.

It's all pretty clear in the opening post. I really don't get why people are having such trouble understanding all this. That OP is one of the most clear news posts they've ever written imo ...
  8. Bah, I would've gotten the preorder AND the boxed edition. But since there apparently is no boxed edition for the poor red-headed stepchildren, I haven't decided on what I'm going to get yet, but it'll only be one of them.

You had to walk uphill through the snow to get it too! Barefooted!

That is how it is. There is no discussion beyond that.
Then you also have the people who just don't want to 'work' in a game, and are perfectly happy making due with what they rake in during 'normal' game play.

    But otherwise, yes.
  12. I like Nemesis ... He's the Archvillain, all the other wannabe's are just toys to him, as shown in Viridian's arc.

A set similar to this one is, togheter with broad swords for brutes, the first one on my wish list.
  14. My 3 pet peaves that I'd like to see getting some attention:
-3 villainous villain strik forces. 1 for the each existing level gap: 10-15, 30-35 and 40-45.
    - Makeover of the old CoH contacts. Ditch all the excess filler missions, or a least make it so that you get those AFTER the contact's storyarc. Make them give out their phone numbers sooner. Ditch all the excess filler missions inside the actual arcs, really, 3 go kill 10 Freaks missions in a row spread over 2 different zones is just dumb. Make 'go visit security chief so and so' type mission optional.
-New textures on old costume pieces and enemies. The difference between the new and old is glaringly obvious.

After this just more content, more arcs and TF/SF and maybe a few small raids (Like the Mothership raid or Lord Winter's realm). But I'm assuming this last bit is all coming with GR.
  15. Bah, I was sick and went to bed real early so I missed it

Congratulations on a job well done though!
  16. Lousy Day gets my vote. That piece is just beautiful.

Honourable mention for Battlewraith's work though.
I also really like the stylish, simplicity of Pyronympho's effort.
And if Happy Dan's Ms Liberty is a 'hurried sketch' I can't wait to see his entrance for next month when he does put some effort in it.

I actually agree with you up to a point, and with the exception of a few dissapointing setbacks I have always gotten the name I wanted for my characters. But that annecdote of yours really doesn't help the point you're trying to make...

Also XNameX and N A M E just are horrendous ways of naming your character, seriously ...

But really, what are you saying? That a team 8 buffed up night widows wouldn't be OP? Use them in gladiator matches, they demolish everything you pit against them.

A few more came in and out for the TF...

But have you seen HOW MUCH space Skyway is? It is a complete waste of space other than the TF and the badges... They could have a freak electrical storm happen and completely take out 99% of that zone and no one would care, because NO ONE ever goes there...
Those zones aren't real, you know? They don't actually take up any 'space'. All bits and bytes.

    Just thought I'd mention it.
  22. I like this idea, but I think it has potential to be OP. Especially now pets can travel through zones.

Freak tanks, Shivans, Night Widows, Longbow Wardens, ... are all quite strong npcs, especially when buffed and healed by players. Now have 8 of them on a full team.

So some restrictions should be in order. e.g.: mak them unbuffable, put them on a short timer, ...

(On a note: I personally feel the Summon Shivan temp power is rediculously overpowered and wouldn't mind seeing it removed from the game.)

For instance, I got sick of the Winter Lord spam during the Winter event. I came into the event not caring about Winter Lords, and even though I tried to just not pay it any heed, by the end of the first day, I was already shouting "I don't care about your damn Winter Lords! Go to hell!" to myself. I imagine it would have outright SUCKED if I needed people for anything, seen as how they were all compulsively fighting giant snow men or skiing, but I was lucky enough to hate other people and keep to myself.
    Wow, now look who's grumpy

Personally I'd love to see more permanent mini-raid like events like the Lord Winter event in the game.

    Takin' A Break

I've been playing this game for 42 months without really taking a break (I went throug a slow period last october-november though) and this game still hasn't gotten stale to me.

Maybe it helps that I'm not so hung up on this one game that I MUST play, like some people here seem to be. Inbetween CoX sessions I fill my game time with EVE Online and online matches of FEAR and single player games. The past months these have been Fallout 3, Dragon Age: Origins, a replay of Mass Effect to set up a nice safe game to start Mass Effect 2 of and now I'm going for some more Dragon Age, FEAR2 and Dead Space.

Relax, it's just a game. It's supposed to be fun.
