It's not as simple as that. Lots of recognised addictions don't involve any 'addictive substances'. Gambling, shopping, stealing, sex, ...

That's a bug, Kalinda shouldn't be on a praetorians contact list.
Did you talk to Marchand at the end of the tutorial mission?
In any case you can find Marchand in the Loyalist lounge in Nova Praetoria.

    Cause.
Pain Domination and Empathy are basicly two aspects of the (thematicly) same powerset. 1 evil use, 1 good. Makes perfect sense to me.

And this is why I don't mind some restrictions. I'm not a real fan 'funny' concepts like this. Yes, I'm boring. Though there are some that are genuinly well done AND make sense.

Honestly, I don't care how good the new cape mission is... I would rather they just left the old one in place instead of screwing up the way the two missions are acquired with the new one.
    It's a 15 minute mission ... overreacting much?

First try a 'verify all files'. You can find it on your updater. If that doesn't work either contact tech support by email or take it to the tech support forum where players more tech savy than me might tackle the problem.

The whole point of Ouroborous and flashbacks is to do missions you outleveled.
  9. And this is why I don't bother with super hero comics. They never end, and the rewrites never are better than the original story, let alone bother to make any sense, and it just gets milked till theres nothing of value left.

Edit: oh wait, old thread. Why bother saving this from the purge if posting in it breaks the necro posting rule and gets the thing locked anyway?

Now, i'm fully aware how awesome the power is, but the fact is i don't need it and would like to pick up another power instead of it, something that'd fit the concept of Night Widow better, something i'd get more mileage out of, if you will.

But my dilemma is that how.. upset would potential teammates be, should i join a team (i usually form my own teams, but there are times someone manages to send me an invite before i can form anything) and not have the power?

Should i be expecting a /kick (extreme cases) or would anyone even notice that i lacked the power?
Consider it like a rad defender without Enhanced metabolism. It'll hardly render you useless, but it'll take a notch out of your desirability on a team.

If you were on my team, I'd personally frown at my monitor, maybe shake my head a little, and then just get on with the mission.

Somewhat true, but this doesn't change the fact some people are really awefull players, even after several years of gaming. You don't have to fail a mission or even struggle badly to get annoyed by the incompetence of some people. And I don't mean inexperience or semi-effective thematic builds (have enough of those myself), but simple incompetence, usually caused or at least enhanced by peoples' thick headedness and inability to take friendly advice, or in the case of some TF/SF's, refusal to follow orders.

Defender's not a bad pick. Your self-heal (Healing Aura) will be beefier, and your Fortitude will buff damage better (redirecting aggro away from you a little better).

Still, overall, a level 50 to level 50 comparison will almost always favor controllers over defenders. More damage, more utility, and enough buff/debuff that the difference doesn't matter. There are exceptions, but empathy is not one of them.

GR will shake things up a bit. Whether to bring a controller or a mastermind on an MoSTF, now there's a tough question! Maybe wait a couple weeks before committing to anything?
You know when it's difficult to decide which one is the strongest it usually really doesn't matter which one you bring, especially in this game, where just about anything is usefull.

So just go with what you like. Defenders and controllers are always wanted on TF, especially empaths. Just don't forget you can do other things than heal.

Caesar = KY-zar (as in Kyle) in (old) Latin, without throwing funny accents in the mix

    So I vote Pry-toria.

Isn't there also a slider in mids (in the power info window iirc) that lets you set the amount of times rage is stacked? Maybe that's set at 2 or something.

    Nice solutions...

    What is the problem exactly?
  21. CoH is the only game were I install a patch without knowing what's in it. It annoys the heck out of me. I like to know what exactly changed up front so I know if it has any effect on my characters, I also like to check out any changes as soon as I log in, to see if they're working as intended.

    Huge issue? No.
    Annoying as heck? Yes.

If you start in Praetoria you can select any of them and once you hit level 20 you get the chance to make a choice and go to either Paragon City OR the Rogue Isles with that AT.

Now for higher levels you have to do your alignment altering missions, with one step per week (so hero to vigilante one week and then vigilante to villain the next week) as mentioned by Positron on the EU Q&A on test.
Add to this that you can't start (the current) EATs in Praetoria, but you can switch sides whith hem.

It said I got a temp power and that it was called Devolution.
