Quote:I was wondering if anyone actually saved up enough merits to hit those recipesI just bought mine the other day with Villain merits. It only took about 12 years.
I usually do the duo and spring for LOTG 7.5% recharge, gift wrap it and put in on the market. When you really crunch the numbers those high end PvP purples are really splitting hairs...and I don't have many hairs to split these days -
I would agree as well. I'm not a min/max player, and I did have fun with the old version of the Peacebringer. However, I am really enjoying the new PB dynamic. I've entered a respec with my character when I21 went live and knew some of what to expect from the beta and adjusted without the use of mids.
I'm a tri-form with 111% of natural recharge. An additionial 3 slotted hasten brings lightform on whenever I need it. Not to mention my new attack chain is a ton of fun. -
I don't care about a refund lol. At this point in time I wouldn't mind actually being able to play the game. I logged in this morning (for about 90 sec) and got booted for server maintenance. From my limited exposure, it was awesome.
From my time on the beta I know I have to re-work a couple of characters. Hopefully, I will have a chance to do that. -
Really looking forward to playing Freedom on live. I just got home and there was an update waiting. Only took a min or so. So far I've been able to view the new splash screen and log in...however the servers are disabled from the public

I for one, will remain a subscriber. Looks like I will be missing the official launch on Tuesday though. I made prior plans (before the announcement) to go riding with some friends -> maybe, it'll rain or maybe I might have some type of last minute mechanical issue
Either or, congratulations on the release of Freedom. HUGE milestone, hopefully NCSoft will give the team some well earned time to relax before moving you guys on to the next deadline.
Again, congratulations! -
Quote:Yes, you're right on the money. The ball of light animation is gone. It has been replaced with (what looks like) three small balls of light hovering around you in an oval pattern. Reminds me a bit of an aura.I haven't seen the new Light Form, but what I've gathered is that you can pretty much see your character all the time, there's just an extra aura-effect on her. If so, I'm all for that. I hated the Ball of Light - I like seeing my costumes, thank you. (also the main reason I never went for the forms, nor a stone tanker)

Quote:Customers have the right to voice their opinion. Any business who either doesn't believe that or ignores this simple fact, will not stay in business very long. So called corporate giants have been sent packing many a times over based on their ignorance.Actually no. You don't have the "right" to complain. You're ALLOWED to complain, but it's not a right. You have the ABILITY to complain, but not a right.
Addditionally, other paying customers have the ability to oppose your POV and call you on your complaint.
From my outlook, the CoH staff do a very good job of listening to the customers. I don't envy the task of trying to please everyone all the time though. Impossible as it may seem, keep up the great work. A little maintenance or down time (no matter how timely) if it improves my game experience....I'm for it. -
I tried updating, and get that message. Tried again, it's updating as I'm typing. All part of the routine maintenance. When I am on my days off I enjoy playing in the morning while I have coffee. Seems to be a pile of morning downtime lately.

I made a couple of tweaks the other day and set the character up before you gents posted. I should have waited for feedback, but I was stoked about getting her out of SO'd mode. Here is what I ended up with, and currently running with. The discussions so far really has me pointed in the right direction. I see some work in MIDS and a respec in my near future. I am semi-happy with the current build, but there is really some room for improvement as mentioned, especially when it comes to freeing up some much needed slots.

Quote:Hit the nail on the head. That is exactly what I am targeting. I do use human form...but primarily enjoy playing with the shifted forms. You seem to think the OP is going for a pure triform build, and I don't think this is so. Rather, It looks to me like what Plasma referred to in his guide as "the inhuman build," or one that relies on just nova and dwarf. If that's the case, then the OP's build makes perfect sense (with some tweaking, given my previous post in this thread).
-
Quote:Didn't say I was broke, only said I don't like wasting inf. Thanks for the feedback. For someone who says they don't have much cash, you sure do have alot of Numina convalescence in your build. Those things are far from cheap. Ok, when possible switch them out for Doc Wounds for the recharge set bonus.
`snip`
And yes, I'm shooting for a tri-form that makes primary use of shifted forms. Sorry I wasn't clearer in my opening post. Not up to snuff with the PB lingo. -
There we go. Great feedback, I know I do have some things to consider. When I build a character I don't go for the "best" I try and go for what is fun for me. Usually, I am very good at building toons that suit my needs but I will admit the peacebringer AT is not only challenging to build but challenging to play. It's been awhile since I've been this geared up about a build.
I tweaked a few things the other day and respec'd the build. My thought process was to slot for defence/resistance and be mindful of endurance usage. I play the human form as a "scrapper" using the trusted "squid" for ranged attacks, and the white dwarf for those "tanking" duties when required.
I knew I had some holes (and still do) I appreciate the feedback. -
Greetings, first time poster, long time player. Lately, I've changed my way of thinking with regards to my expectations when I create or (in most cases) re-create my characters. Thanks to some careful planning and a ton of trial and error, I have nice diverse set of characters which I really enjoy playing. However, I am having some trouble getting my Peacebringer (Tri-build) up to snuff. I don't have the extra $$ to test drive this toon. So, I am relying strictly on Mids. I would appreciate some input and opinions on this particular build. Thanks in advance.

^^ Yeah, I did the same thing when thinking about making an axe brute. Pound for pound it doesn't matter the damage numbers if you can't live with the animation or find it annoying it will be a long haul to 50 and beyond.
