    Anyway, couple of ideas.

    Hamidon's Absorb - A purple res set with a proc for max health
    Vanguard's Defence - A purple defence set with a global proc of 8 points of knockback protection
    BAB's Blows - Purple knockback set with a chance for hold
    Sister Psyche's Resonance - 10% chance for 10% psi resist on heal power on allys
    Crystal Titan's Shards - An orange set with a detonation global proc. Whenever a pet dies within supremecy range of you, it explodes dealing heavy lethal damage and stun
    Mot's Presence - A purple fear set, with the proc lowering resistance
    Mot's Hunger - A purple accurate heal set with the proc absorbing endurance and giving 5% max health boost.
  2. Are you looking with AM on or off? Perma AM is 30% recharge, 20% damage and 30% recovery.

    And really 6.5% really doesn't matter as you will be living longer, just pop some reds.

  7. That tells us nothing. Try using mids to give us an idea of what you want and I'll give a shot at improving it.

    As storm summoning goes though, I dunno. Melee pets and lots of knockback doesn't exactly synch well.
  8. I had a go at it, and got you 5% off ranged softcap, perma hasten and AM. All sorts of goodies. I chose the primal forces powerset because of conserve power and power boost. Lots of S/L res.

    Now, my advice for this would be pick and choose your toggle, rather than try to run them all at once.
    If you are an incarnate, grab Cardiac Core for 75% res and 2.49% end per sec with 3.75 end per sec going in. Or Musculare radical for buffs to def debuffs, slows, all the stuff you need and 4.04 end per sec going in, compared to 3.2 end a sec going out. I also suggest grabbing ageless destiny.

    Combat jumping, I would suggest dropping for Hover and using it to dive in when needed, but give you the option to hover away if need be and rely on ranged def.

  9. It all depends. To take hover and fly, you would have to drop below the softcap or lose enough end recovery to make it so you have to choose Cardiac for incarnate, which would lose you some damage.

    Plus on melee toons, hover isn't very good and if you want to fly, jetpacks are 10000 inf or so. Not much at all.

    It all comes down to do you want the best character and minmaxing or do you want to have those 2 powers even though performance is going to drop a fair bit?

  12. OK, two things.

    One I can't see a data link or code for me to see it in mids.
    Two, a fair bit of slotting is out of whack. Overslotting, under slotting. etc.

    So I've had a go at rebuilding it. This is a none purpled/pvped version only using the purple you put in, but I could redo it all purpled out if you wanted.

    This build has you S/L softcapped, melee and lethal over capped with guarded spin (an 8 second def buff and a 3.34 second reuse), fair bit of res, dark regen down to 15 seconds and with an endurance buff on use.

  15. Yes, this would get you perma dom and permahasten, however, there are lots of inefficenies and slotting which could be better.

    Try this. Softcapped defence, perma dom with hasten, 6 seconds off without, and some S/L res without incarnate slots. It also has the ATO proc for more damage and one travel power, not 2. For incarnate, inituation radical buffs everything you need, slow, hold, damage, def debuffs and it does it without the need for agility for def/recharge, Villain Plan by Mids' Villain Designer 1.956

    For the Alpha, you want to do tier 1 with shards (shard drops or astral merits coverted to shards), teir 2, threads with an uncommon drop from trials, tier 3 shards and a NoTW from the WTF and t4 threads and a VR drop.

    Generally, you can get 4 emps a daywith no level shifts, and a few uncommons (there are 2 just from doing a BAF, provided no prisoners escape). So if you just need a rare, turn emp merits into rares. If not, just keep going and hope for a lucky drop.

    They may not have 80 foot of range but I think we might be able to forgive that in an MMO. They don't feel very corrupter, blaster, defender like. A type of scrapper, maybe with mid range attacks, but not full on ranged.

    I am going to /unsign for them as ranged AT attacks.

    • most of the ranged attacks with the gun seem, well, underwhelming. Wheres all the damage come from? the pets or not that important since they are tanking? The guns actually have very good DPA, but a good deal of the damage come from pets.
    • Most i've seen have both high positional and typed defenses with highest in ranged. why both? isn,t it a waste of slots? Because most crab spider def buffs boost all. We then slot them for defence that raises them all. And then we put in set bonuses which had built in typed defence.
    • Im supposing hover is being used for knock back or staying out of melee range. In hover, if you get hit you still suffer all the effects of knock back but flipped instead of being pushed back. Yep, but apparently the knockback is slightly less but mostly people use it so they only have to focus on ranged defence.
    • Why use expensive set IO's for so little gain like LOTG < 1% in defense in certain defensive powers like maneuvers? Mostly because of the set bonuses or procs. LOTG gives 7.5% recharge from one slot, and on pet heavy builds that recharge is awesome.
    • are the procs (like achilles heel etc) really worth losing set bonuses? AH provides a 20% res debuff. On an enemy with 0 res, that is effectivly a 20% damage increase. On a enemy with 10% res, an 18% damage increase. ETC ETC. It is worth taking, as generally the 6 slot bonuses aren't anything good.
    • finally, what really is the overall goal in hover tanking? To make everything ever die.

  23. Had a go, hope this help. Tried to build for softcapped defence so you could just tank stuff while your pets killed everything Made sure stuff rechaged fast.

    The incarnate buffs are there to suppliment your build, but isn't needed for it.
