  1. I've had a few ideas.

    -AoE slow as the mob is "suppressed". Adds to the survivability and it keeps the idea that for a blaster, range is defence.
    -Chance for instant defeat on mobs lt and lower. Use it for picking out the annoying enemies such as sappers etc.
    -I like the idea of marking an enemy, especially if it could get one of those giant target signs over their head from TPN so others can focus fire.

    My experience has been that when I am using Omega Maneuver on a team, my teammates have little desire to roast marshmallows and exchange campfire stories while waiting for the thing to go off.     I dunno, group engages one spawn, you omega bomb the other. The bomb pops and begins to taunt.

    If your group finishes the first spawn before the bomb goes over, they have still avoided the 2nd groups alpha strike and can just go in.

    If the bomb has gone off, you have damaged the whole spawn and stunned a fair few of them. And they are coming for you, not a squishy blaster.

    But what do you take instead of Omegabomb?

    Bots/Time build

    I'm just trying it out. I quite like provoke though. Gives me recharge and S/L. And provoke does = more agro. If you can suggest a way to get some more S/L (Trying to get the incarnate softcap), I can drop Provoke and get sumin else like hasten.

    Anyway, that is my semi finalized build. Just needing feedback on provoke it seems.
  4. OK, I'm just gonna point out some problems in your build.

    I think you will have end troubles without cardiac. You are running a lot of toggles. Unless you invest in the ageless destiny, I would suggest cardiac. And then, even if you do get ageless, I would then suggest musculature. It boosts damage and damage on your pets, while cardiac gives you great all around bonuses (end, res and range).

    Your pets are heavily invested with the defence bonuses etc, but they aren't perma or anything. With those 6 slots, you could have got some extra defence and recharge, and then been able to boost attack or get some more recharge else where.

    I've had a go at a modified build, given it provoke (which is highly useful to a tanking crab), and 2 of the powers you wanted.

    But I really don't like the extra pet. Bang for buck, I find it rather lacking. As a slot mule, it is lacking.

    This build keeps up the defence and is almost perma spiderlings.

    Bots/Time build

    So I'm working on my bots/time MM again. I've learn a fair bit about builds and I'm making this toon go villain anyway for RP reasons.

    This toon is gonna be a mostly soloer, with some itrials. Mostly SSAs for the hero merits. The blank slot is for the AoE defence MM ATO. My plan is open with provoke, hit off grenade, and let my bots do their job while I keep taunting.

    For incarnate, I'm going Longbow Core, Spiritual Core, Cognitive Radical and Rebirth. Do you guys have any suggestions which don't involve me slotting purples?

  11. I don't really like the direction people are going with this. I personally think that psychic melee would be telekinetic blows. I want a brand new powerset, new mechanics, etc, if this was to happen. Not much copied.

    So my idea. Giant glowy fists or objects that circle the person and lash out at people. The attack powers are generally stunners and part psi, part smashing damage.

    For psi defence, I'm thinking some active defence from confusion and an aura with a taunt and a small stun. The set is mostly defence, with a fair bit of res to psi, but not much else and instead of a mind link like power, any res would come from being in a team with a new power that gave 5% res to all damage for every team member in AoE range.

    The build was capped on Kin combats, so I made some edits. Slightly less def, but I've slotted Eclipse over intentionally, following DK's build advice. Way I see it, the faster that recharges the better.

    I also made some changes based on my play style, I don't really use orbiting death, want the 6 slot Kheld enhancement etc.

    It ain't perfect, but I think it is better.

    Better defence, somewhat. Better slotting. You now are at almost perma dom, which refills you end and gives you better control. You are sitting at 11% s/l and 18% range, which should help.

    I dropped the medicine pool because that is what barriers/defenders/wakies are for. Your job is to stop people dying by mezzing everything.
  19. OK, couple of things.


    I don't think the single pet is worth 6 slotting, really. I would personally drop it for Frenzy 6 slots or an Omega Bomb 5 slots.

    Frenzy because it is a nice PBAoE and can be 6 slotted for melee defence. Omega Bomb because it is a good tanking tool.

    With Omega Bomb, you can use the bomb to take the alpha strike or tank 2 spawns at once. Good, no?

    Also, lose the end/recharge slot in stamina, stick it into health, numina and miracle proc, you come out better over all.

    And if you are gonna be hover tanking, I would suggest dropping your melee defence down a bit. Stay within 1 purple of it, but drop some melee defence for recharge/res.

    What incarnate power you going to be using? Cause there are 2 options.
    Agility will boost your defence, recharge and end mod. You are sitting at about 3 eps and you are costing 1.2 eps, so end is unlikely to be a problem and because you are slotted for proc that give you end, the end reduction won't be so much. However, you do gain some defence which means you can unslot and move your slots around a little.

    But if you go for cardiac, you will never have to worry about end ever. Even versus sappers and you will get some bonuses to resistance.

  21. So, the new ATO has resparked my intrest in my old attempt at a MFing Warshade and I've been playing her on the odd TF and I'm really enjoying it. It doesn't quite feel as flowing as I would like (I'm still waiting on the animation speed changes with bated breath) , but it does feel fun and a very active playstyle, something I do like.

    But anyway, I'm working on a build, and would like a bit of a critque/advice on Khelds in general.

    1) I tend to start combat by teleporting in, hitting off sunless mire, going dwarf and hitting off dwarf mire for the double mire stacking, then I can hit off my biggest attacks at the high risk targets (lt/bosses), before dropping down to human, hitting off all my attack there, then switching to nova, floating out of range and pew pewing anything left, then if need be I keep switching based on what recharges when. Should I be doing that or is there a better way?
    2) If a team needs a tank more than a MFing Warshade, would it be possible to stay in tanky form and human form, mostly tanky?
    3) How important is defence? I'm thinking less so with eclipse and dwarf form res.
    4) Any way to get that smokey Kheldian goodness?

    So any advice or suggestions for my build/general advice?

    OK, I'm looking at these and I'm getting confused. Thanks for the links, I'm gonna have to sit down and do some coding, me thinks.

    Looks like I'm going to need 1 bind to drop into nova form, and one bind to drop out, one for dwarf form and one to drop it. Then I'm going to need 3 more that drop me out of dwarf/nova form and hit off a power.

    Do you think I am better to use normal bind for the 3 untoggles/power uses and then 4 bind files for nova/dwarf forms?

    A while ago, I was talking to DK about building a MFing warshade and asking if it was possible to bind Q to toggle the power on and off, instead of alt q, while keeping the tray swapping and teleport rebinding ability and he suggested using a bindloadfiles.

    Can anyone help me with these? I'm wanting to bind a tray change, power use on the first click, then on the second click have q rebind my teleport, swap power trays and be ready for the next time I want to transform. And for E, I want to try and get it to change form and trays, rebind my teleport to the dwarf one and change be back on the next E.

    Is this possible and can I get some help?
