Switching gears here, being that aid self is going to be as is and that other self heals are condsidered below it for balance - how do other self heals compare to each other with aid self taken out of the equation ? Can we expect any "rebalancing" to any of those?
The most well known issue here is that healing flames is considered by players to be subpar when compared to such powers as dull pain( and its variants) and reconstruction.
What is the offical ( or even just your own) stance on the various self heal type powers and their inner balance issues ? -

Having trainers in Pocket D makes absolutely no sense. Pocket D is a 'time off from work' area. Why on earth would official trainers be -working- there? That's just silly.
I can see needing to have a store there to purchase enhancements garnered from the missions (makes sense to have a little under-the-table commerce going on in a club), but if you absolutely have to go pick up a new power/slots you can leave the club to do it. It's not like your effective combat level doesn't go up automatically when you gain a new level, whether you've trained or not...

What are the elevator guards doing? What are the bar tenders doing? What is the sound person doing? Their jobs. Even though it is a timed off of work area, there is always someone doing some work.
To cut down on that... I like the idea of having a computer do the training. That idea seems very cool. -
Discussion not over. Don't think you can just pop in and end a discussion at whim.
I know the Devs are busy, as do many people. Yes, they are working... but some of that working could involve giving us an explination of a given topic. It doesn't take but 5-10 minutes to give an explination of something. They already read the boards.. and obviously read this topic.. so an extra 5-10 minutes is not a whole lot to ask. On a large amount of topics though... then it could become time consuming... BUT there are several devs that work at similar things as far as I am aware. -
Technically, no, I did not buy it twice. I tried to purchase it twice though.. which is when I realized what had happened.
-
Yeah, I bought a power twice before realizing that it went into the POWER section and not the power tray.
No biggie though.
Positron: Any word on explination yet? We're willing to help you if you're willing to help us. A discussion goes no where if we the people are not informed beyond "techincal standpoint."
And don't get me wrong.. you do great work.. but PLEASE discuss things with us. -

A neutral trainer could be devised, but from a RP perspective it would make no sense. This person would have to have the authority to both increase someone's security level in Paragon City (not permission that is handed out lightly, as it's only the trusted signature heroes who can do this), as well as be qualified to increase a villains threat level (also not given out lightly, as only Recluse's arbiters may do this). Who could possibly be trusted to have such permissions for BOTH sides?

The Devs already have code that allows/disallows heroes/villians into certain areas, all they would have to do is switch it around for trainers.
Hell, the Devs could even put Statesman and Lord Recluse as the trainers *shrugs* -
If someone like Mynx was placed on the hero side of Pocket D.. she could be strictly Hero oriented. Same for villians and one of their trainers. If a villian were to talk to the Pocket D Mynx, she wouldn't allow them to train but instead tell the villian about the villian trainer.
Is that a technical issue as well? -

2. You can't add a villain to your Friends list. So, Batman and Catwoman aren't "friends"? Yes, I know you can add them to Global friends, but come on.

There are a couple of exploits that would be associated with this if we let it happen.

3. And the worst of all, if you leave Pocket D just to go train or sell enhancements, you get kicked from your team! So make War Witch a trainer, and let the bartenders buy as well as sell. Or let me stay on the team, it's hard enough to put one together!

We will probably slip in some NPCs who can buyback Enhancements at somepoint, but the trainer issue is a little more difficult from a technical standpoint.

How is the trainer idea an issue? Heroes can go train at a hero trainer.. and villians can go train at a villian trainer. Thats what happens in coh/cov.. why not in Pocket D?
