There is no reward driven mentality, merely a satisfaction driven mentality. People will play the game they way that satsifsies them. If they are not satisfied they will stop playing the game.

That almost compares to the old Everquest days of raiding. The CoP has layered issues that really do not make for repeatable enjoyable experieinces. And with any luck, there will not be anymore like it brough to CoH.
Oddly enough, I remember seeing that CoP being advertised and the first thing that came to mind was Xeaon is one of the few people that will take the time to run these. I feel for the people trying to set this up. That being said, I opted for an ITF instead. -
When you recieve emails at work with the subject Re:ERP and you wonder if someone wants to role play.....

Quote:Is it the exact same room as Director 11's because I do not recall seeing the ramps to the areas behind walls on the sides in director 11's room? If it is the same room there that would be intersting becuase the Director 11 room does not seem to have the same problems.I know exactly which room it is. It's also used for Director 11's showdown. It has the same problem that the Praetorian labs did when they first came out; massive bloom. All that light just slows it down too much.
If too much light is the issue, maybe we will luck out with an easy fix... -
The reason why I brought this up in the first place is becuase I am concerned that if this level of quality becomes the norm, it will have serious negative impacts on the game. This isn't like a map 3 in the valley during waves of ambushes. This is a normally populated room that has what appears to be a grahical issue.
-
If you have encountered it you will know. The large open room with the blue floor that has some graphical glitch causing the game to become sluggish. How many of you would like the map with this room removed from the game until it is fixed?

Having done every AT through an all XXX ITF, I agree all defender ITF ranks up there on the easy street scale.

I didn't notice if anyone posted this tip, but use mouse control to steer and supplment with strafe keys.
Also, you can change the turn speeds of keyboard and mouse command up or down in the options as well. -
I had this problem. The way I fixed the problem was to uninstall; do a reinstall but add a 1 to the end of the file path to install to.

I had a late day. Is the mids for I19 out now? I have a few variations to try out myself. I did get my BS/DA end recovery to 4.01/soft capped and actually picked up hasten for the first time.
If I get time tomorrow i'll tinker around with your build. I also want to get mine updated in I19 build to do get a good look see at options. -
If it was disrupting the pace of the team, I would have kicked him if he didn't respond.

Herding by pulling back to spot is definitively slower. Herding forward can be faster. It really is the team synergy that will dictate the speed.

Quote:Soft capping to all types isn't necessary. Ignoring that soft capping isn't necessary for Dark Armor, it's easier to obtain S/L/E/Ne defense values than M/R/AoE. Final builds of either variation will be equally as strong.
I think we will have to agree to disagree. -
Quote:However, it is far easier to soft cap all the positional than all of the typed. Builds that are not "final" may have more benefit from typed over position at some points.IMHO, this is no longer true. In many instances, I feel it's better to pursue typed defense over positional. For Dark Armor, I find stacking S/L/E/Ne to be as effective as M/R/AoE.
To me that is part of the fun of the BS/DA combo over others. It is not "easy" to build the build in comparison to elec/shield for that matter. -
I would have some concern with the end usage/end recovery on the build. Since IO's make it easier to get positional defenses higher than typed you could drop down some melee defense to get AOE and ranged higher.
But that being said, aside from the end issue, this build probably would survive a RWZ challenge. However there is some room for improvement. -
This just reminds me of yet another why don't defenders use their primary and secondary lament. I believe Adeon Hawkwood summed it up well, most good defenders do.

My one friend often laughs at me because the majority of my characters only have one costume slot.
For me to play a character the Name, AT/Powersets and Costume all must work for me just to create a character. After that, I almost never have to go and fix a costume. -
There used to be a bug that would occur when a tanker taunted it would cause the invisible person to be attacked.
Maybe they ressurected it for Halloween ;p -
I have run all the heroside missions and am in the process of doing all of the villain side via oroborous.
The leveling can be tedious based upon the missions as well. It seems more and more story arcs are done solo. I notice certain things are making missions tedious. This translates into slow leveling and annoyances.
Two culprits are:
Large maps for no reason.
Defeat all on large maps.
A new culprit is the mission the forces you to go back and forth in the mission on large maps. -
Are you working at SO/IO (non sets) stage or are you looking to invest in IOs? BS/DA is an expensive habit if you are looking to go 45% def to all positions.

Let me dangle this infront of you Werner for some food for thought.
