Some people hate knockback in even the smallest amount.
However, I think that Energy Blast DOES have a problem on Corrupters and Defenders; it doesn't synergize well with most of the debuff powers. That's why I like my Energy/Storm and Energy/Traps; both use "sticky" debuffs that you don't need to worry about knocking things out of. Energy Blast is really best on Blasters, I think.

yes young grasshopper, the secret is, go AoE, treat him as a scrapper range AoE monster and it will all work out just fine (well, fun, it will all work out fun, too much chance of instant death for it to be fine

with all the /kin goodies being melee range and your first AoE being a PBAoE, you really can take advantage of the "middle of the mob" positioning. just don't forget to fire off transfusion/transferrence on a regular basis, i noticed i had e tendancy to get sucked into the offense and woudl faceplant unexpectedly, but if you pay just a little attention (i can't, but that's a personal issue ) then all is ggod. hope you enjoy the next 25 levels.

i noticed this too the other day, i was on my first lvl40 vill, a corr, who i was trying to run my PPP arc for BS, tried broadcast, infinity badger channel (forget what it's called) and my coalition channel...... nothing
i was doing fine solo'ing until it switched from crey to malta, then i couldn't make it past the first spawn, stupid malta
i spent 30 minutes looking for a team to help, but no dice. hoping this isn't the same next weekend, need to get that arc done. -
does anyone have pics of all the goggles and breathers from the science booster pack? paragonwiki only has 4 pics, not very complete.

oddly enough, i did the rikti pylon one before i knew it was a "test of well built toon", i was relatively new and running solo, saw a pylon and figured i should blow it up (it was labeled rikti, therefore a baddy ), and it went down pretty easy. found out afterwards that it was a measuring stick type of thing, and since then, haven't even come close to succeeding. but that toon has won dozens of CC's (he has a great retro 30's scifi look). i may try the rest of the stuff on that list with him to see how far i get.

you silly europeans and your love for soccer, i will never understand. you couldn't pay me to watch something that could last 3 hours and end up with a score of 1 to 0, utter garbage but in all fairness, that makes soccer rank right up there with baseball as a gauranteed nap inducer.

Survivability-wise, it's always been a very solid set. It also has a lot of perks.
In general, I don't like defensive sets with lots of utility and perks having a lot of survivability, more survivability than sets that don't have a lot of perks. WP is bad enough for that already.
High resistance values, a damage aura, -end debuffs, protection to end drains and slows, increased recharge and movement speed, a self-end recovery power...
And now the addition of a self heal and regeneration increase; what amounts to a mini panic click in addition to their tier 9. Even if it's locked at a two minute recharge, that's still a bit much.
No sir, I don't like this at all.

It's a bit ridiculous if you think about. For OUTRAGEOUSLY violent games (I.E: Manhunt which was banned in several countries and the sequel was banned here before the release IIRC). With games like that it is understandable why governments do this.. Sort of. Censorship is a good and bad thing, while it stops certain people being exposed to things they shouldn't be exposed to for whatever reason it can also be abused and stop people being exposed to things that are perfectly fine.
As Zortel said, playing video games doesn't really make me want to re-enact things I saw in the game, yet for whatever reason people without exposure to these games will coincidentaly perform actions they saw in the game.
I don't really care what statistics say, tbh, they can be fairly easily manipulated.
If this does happen then I hope there is only a temporary downtime in which a new country can be chosen to host the servers or something to that effect.
But do the German government really have the right to force this inconvenience upon a foreign company? -

LOL, you kids these days, back in my day we used a combo of hair gel, egg whites and wood glue, made a 8inch mohawk stand straight up for 3 days, the the egg whites started to stink and we made him wash it out, but it worked great

ok, rad/kin is not a leisurely toon, make sure you stock up on coffee before you play, i love the combo, but it takes effort to play it, very active, clicky and edge of your seat with NO mitigation
sonic/kin is, well, probably the damage king. FS plus -RES is so sick it's not funny.
or, you could try nrg/kin, learn how to use KB well, and amaze the noobs who think KB is "teh sux". this is my new project and is soooo much fun, besides with all the KB'ing powers, getting KB protection yourself is easy and cheap and can be done before level 20. -
let us know what servers you are planning on playing on, and maybe your global, there are a ton of helpful vets who will catch you online and help you out getting reacclimated. they did it for me when i was new, and now i try to help as many newbies as i can. having someone show you the little things is wayyyyy helpful, that way you don't spend half an hour trying to go in the out door of the train ahem; not that i would know or anything.....
and, now that you are here, and have been informed that the game is going from 1 to 50, not hitting 50, let me add that one of the GREAT aspects of this game is the ability to have 8 gazillion alts (i counted, there is 8 gazillion), so make a ton of characters, play at least one of each AT, fill up a couple of servers, whatever floates your boat. but if your approach to this game is to make 1 toon and race it to 50, you will be dissapointed. so, go create superheroes, supervillains, and soon the super ambiguous

ok, let me restate my opinion, mind is totally borked, and definately needs looking at devs....
oh, and Grav needs love devs, seriously, you know it, we know it. but i also noticed how the dev attention to just about everything that was broken has been addressed or mentioned since the NCsoft takeover. i have complete faith that Grav would be fixed even if we didn't have these threads once a month. remember, they have been working on going rogue for 15 months already, I18 since april, i would hazard a guess that Grav fixes are in the pipeline even though we haven't heard anything yet. -
i have both in the upper 30's, honestly, either way you go is fine
to me the brute feels more powerful, but that is just an assumption on my part and in no way reflects reality, i have never bothered to check the numbers on either.
i can tell you that the "double bag of tricks" aspect of this combo is sick, just sick i tell ya. HF has always been my favorite heal in the game, it's a big heal, it recharges fast, and soon it won't even have to be green
add SL into your attack chain and all of a sudden your green bar never really moves again, and for a Fiery Aura toon, that's impressive.
the double endurance drains are also sick, making up for the only shortcoming in both powers, the ridiculous recharge times.
FE is nice, but helps only a little with this build, but a quick recharging SD should more then make up for it.
i'd say you can't go wrong with this pairing either way, but if you HAVE to eek out the best from it i'd say brute, by a small margin, but i swear you won't notice it, or even care, it will a great toon.

Change dimension shift to a 2 second duration. In that time, dimension shift applies a random status effect, be it stun, immobilize, hold, sleep, knockdown, etc, to all the enemies trapped in the dimension shift. Mag 3 for those abilities.

I think that'd be a fun power. And I don't think it would be out of balance since, even though it can hit the targets with any status effect, doesn't mean it will be one you want, and I'd make it so the powers can't stack. So you wouldn't run into an enemy that was stun and held (which would make no sense).
I dunno, lack of sleep at the current moment made me propose this idea. Might be REEEALLY regretting it once I log on tomorrow.
the concept is awesome, i must agree, but for a mechanics point, how would you slot that? would the effect be randomized per activation? so if you slot a hold set in the power it only effects if the hold works, not any of the other status effects. doesn't look like it would work with the game, but thematically, it's sweet
now the AoE knockdown/up field is another sweet idea, i might be willing to strongarm someone over at NCsoft to get this done or, maybe bribe them with more gift baskets, or something
