On my villains I always ran the old Breakout tutorial. It made me get into the character.
On my heroes I sometimes ran the old tutorial, depending on how heroic I saw the character.
Don't really run the new one. The dramatic part doesn't go with my "new up and coming hero/villain" mentality that I tend to have for my characters. -
First thing the current regeneration did was touch his hear and scream "I'm a girl!" before going to his adam's apple and confirming otherwise. Maybe it was a thrown in joke, but at least there's precedent it can happen.

Add the anti-cartoon violence era that we're living in. Many classic cartoon could not be made this day (Tom and Jerry, even Bugs Bunny was violent), so I'm expecting some parent reservation at taking their kids to see this.

Quote:I'm in this camp.Unlike the OP I have no real "relationship" with the original Stooges. The trailers have made me laugh which is more than most modern comedies have managed to do, so I am looking forward to seeing this movie.
However, one thing I lament is that what I've seen form the trailers is that this movie is not the "Hollywood banking on old franchises because they're out of ideas" shtick we've been seeing. It looks like the crew tried to do this one with heart and respect to the source material. Whether good or bad it looks like a honest effort. And their effort will probably not succeed. -
Quote:This is actually my experience with both my empaths in the high level game inside and outside of iTrials. Fort 3-4 characters, AB as recharged and I'm done. And I enjoy it.Hello peeps.
In some itrials, I find myself dispencing individual buffs (fortitude and AB) and attacking.
So my answer is no. Every now and then something gets smacked hard and I come in super handy. Rest of the time pew pew pew staked with Assault and Tactics. -
Brutes had upper hand for a while, now it's mostly even. There is no real "better." Fury generation was modified so that its easy to build but gets progressively harder. So in general Scrappers will still have the damage advantage while Brutes the survival.
At the end of the day, it depends on what you want to do with it and what powersets you want to play with. Fiery Aura? Go with Brute (::grumble grumble stupid mobs running away from my Burn... :: ) -
Not Super Strength, but on my Axe and Dark Melee I six slotted my tier 1 power with it. Yes, low proc chance, but I will be spamming that attack for Bruising anyway, so might as well.

I'd say SR. Caltrops and Smoke Bombs take from my quality stabbidy stab stab kill time.
Regen is an even worse offender. -
I'm a fan of leading content and lately been doing redside arcs. I like running missions that will entertain the group and expose them to other elements of the game. Generally I play with PuG from very broad level ranges because it entertains me.
I did the new arcs in Cap with a PuG and the scene with all the mind controlled villains at my beck and call was satisfying and everyone had fun. Someone even commented "plot... how novel..."
The problem now is that with that character I can no longer take a random PuG through this arc. Which is a shame. So I'd like a way to redo these arcs w/o Ouroboros. The issue with Ouroboros is that the team needs to go there and then they are locked in TF mode, which has its limitations for groups where people come and go every mission.
What I'm suggesting then is that contacts have a "No, you don't know me" option which upon clicked sends you back to the first mission in the arc and erases all progress made so that it seems is the first time you've met. Clean slate. Not sure how complicated this might be, however.
Of course, if you break all ties with the contact and you're outside the level range you'd be out of luck.
EDIT:
This could also make the DA arcs more manageable. -
FUN STORY:
I formed a team that ended up with 3 stalkers or so. At first I was worried because they were mostly single target. And then I learned, put a few ST stalkers together and they are AoE.
Also, minions and lts are beneath me. -
My Dark Melee / Fiery Aura Scrapper has a serious love hate relationship with Burn. Being single target can be problematic. . .

Allow Vigilante's to get Vigilante/Villain tips while in Rogue Isles and let Rogues get Rogue/Hero tips in Paragon.
That should be enough to make me want to keep some greys at the expense of no H/V merits. -
Quick looksee over, Spiritual for Heal / Rech. Once I open Mids (need to update it...) I';; get a better feel of how it works.
EDIT: Nvm, you got plenty of recharge. I do think some +Heal would be nice for Siphon Life
EDIT2: Vigor Radial has a lot you could use with healing, accuracy, end red, fear (though you don't have touch of fear). But you have covered accuracy covered. So assuming end consumption is fine you might not need it.
So... In my case, then in doubt: Spiritual. IF there's plenty of recharge and nothing else is missing: Musculature. -
Quote:To be fair, as said in the OP, the author discussed Hunger Games and Brave BEFORE talking about the Avengers, and said how the form on those was probably beyond the call of duty.Gotta love the logic of people happily accepting living Norse Gods, amazing technical armour beyond modern capabilities, a guy who was frozen in ice for 50 odd years and a man who turns in to a massive green guy when he's annoyed about something.....but that man with the bow and arrow? He's doing it wrong!!
Love it
So talking about a movie that goes in the other direction isn't really all that bad. -
Make leathery skin dinos average to big threats. Make feathery ones bigger threats. They are more evolved, after all.
EDIT: this can be fiction-logic! -
Quote:Funny thing about that. My Titan weapon is level 12 or so, haven't played him in a month. Don't care about sticks, demons, kitties, or darkity dark stuff. New powersets are not really a selling item for me. Street Justice and beam rifle intrigued me till level 30-something, though. Now gathering dust.Power sets are a HELL of a lot more time consuming to create than costumes, emotes, and so on. They require more art and animations PLUS the time needed to balance and debug them. And, to the OP.... March is getting a lot more than Beast Mastery. March also got the Darkness control and assault sets and might be getting Staff Fighting before it's over.
Anyway, this game is at least 3/4 about vanity items. What do you expect? You want less focus on that, you're playing the wrong game.
So shinies don't lure me, neither do new powersets, and not going to spend a lot real monies on IOs. Hmmm. Now I wonder what demographic I belong to in terms of marketing. . .
EDIT: I guess most of the value I care about already comes with the subscription. Which is fine, I guess. Just feeling left out. Marketing it not gunning for my wallet. -
Going to lead a lot of Redside teams. Mostly playing alts that can serve as a backbone for any team makeup, like a solid tank or multi-purpose defender.
This game has a leader shortage AND a redside shortage, so trying to do my bit to help out. -
Quote:Oh, I agree they've been doing a decent job at shooting in all directions. Just agreeing with the OP that recent stuff have been a little too much on one side. I think the Super Packs were the last thing that interested me and i already go that out of my system.Honestly, giving the market a quick look-see, I'd say it's doing a (fairly) reasonable job of catering to both. I suspect some of it's just not being seen due to VIP status (giving some of the power sets free while you're VIP,) which is giving a bit of a skewed impression.
They seem to be doing a fairly decent job of hitting a wide range of interests, given the IOs, temp powers, costumes and powersets (and given the time taken to develop each.) -
Though I agree some things should be free for all, like finishing power customization, the market should try to cater to those of us that don't care about vanity items.
Some of us just like punching people in the face hard. Not looking good while doing it. -
The Proc Per Minute feature was a creative way to help power with long recharges. I liked the idea of a proc not being useless in long recharging powers.
Leave it to the players to find ways to break it without breaking the rules. -
My scrapper is solo curbstopping them as EBs, yes.
But that Cimerora mission will be hell with my defender. . . -
Kinetic Melee is also becoming a PITA, specially with the ATO proc. Build Up popping back up, orange circle, both screaming click me click me!!!
Very twitch reflex intensive.
Can't imagine how a Kin/regen will be able to handle all those clicks.
