I think this calls for an actual draft game like in the old days. Someone moderate it, have people join in and suggest one char per color, then duke it out. One with most votes wins and off to next round.

Level pact are like marriages to super-sidekicking's civil unions.

Not sure if relevant, but I use level pacting for interesting theme effects with the magic of having two accounts.

I have a Shield/Energy tanker pacted with an Eng/Eng blaster. Same character and armor, one is Mark I version, defense mode, the other is Mark II, offense.

Another is a wizard who controls light and dark powers but not at the same time.

W/o level pacting I can't make more cool alts like these.

P.S. though they are level 41. I'd so reroll the tank/blaster combo to make the tank Eng/Eng if/when level pacting comes back.

For your question "3. Is this the best tank i can be? if not what else" You'll be the least likely to die, but tanking involves much more than that. You'll have to work extra hard to fulfill your tanking duties and compensate for the penalties.

Being unkillable means nothing if your team is falling left and right.

This is why as much as I've tried to make Stone armor work for me, I always end up with other armors. There's only so much suriveabilitiy you need in this game.

I was in a team of 3, me (stalker), a Corr, and a Veat. I was quietly leading the charge opening with AS and scrapping and AS again as recharged.

VEAT: where is all the damage coming from?
CORR: The stalker.
VEAT: The changes must have been good.

And yes, I have been seeing more stalkers lately. Having 2-3 is very entertaining.

To be fair, a guide could also include the different kinds of AoE immobs and IO potential. Gravity and Ice can slot slows, which gives it another proc.

I've been to the astral store a few times to buy costumes and whatnots for a while. Only recently did I see I could unlock Alpha slot with Atrals for another character. My stalker ran a BAF, purchased the coupon, my tank became incarnate by opening an email.

Outside of the chest piece, the Dynasty pieces are a royal mess that doesn't look good with anything except each other. I've tried to make them work and failed over and over again mad at why the devs would allow pieces that don't play well with anything else.

And then I keep seeing other player with cool, non Dynasty themed costumes.

I haven't seen the code, but: would it be possible for the PPM to vary on the power's slotted recharge instead of the total recharge that affects the power?

As a Kin/Eng stalker with gobs of recharge: "meh, it was fun while it lasted. I'll see how much things actually change when the time comes around and adjust."

I'm enjoying the hell out of Force Field / Fire. Repulsion Bomb, Fire Ball, Fire Breath, grin.

The problem with giving anything else to Force Bolt is that you can machine gun that thing with very little recharge. Any damage or debuff might end up upping the recharge.

Not that I think it's always needed to shoot it that often, but I'd think some people do.

Repulsion Bomb does AoE quality damage now and KnockDown. The chance to disorient is gravy. It's a very good power and opener. Treat as another AoE and be happy.

Now the other FF powers could use something.

Random Question, for beam rifle no matter the range you put in the blast effect of the cone remains the same size, right? So it would look shorter than is actually is?
