This is where you are mistaken. Once you have Momentum, your attacks are FASTER than other attacks from other powersets. The three fast attacks are Titan Weapon's gimmick. The initial slow one is the price we pay for it.
  2. This is a lot better than I expected it to be.

I actually laughed at some bits. It felt three stoogery.
  3. Grav / Energy. Lift and Power push gives some fun single target damage/mayhem. And throwing stuff around is fin.

Also I own a nook tablet (fantastically zippy little thing it is) so ....
On a semi related tangent. Have you, or anyone here, tried Smashwords? Seems like a decent way to get the works on multiple formats. Iirc, you upload to them and they send it to multiple formats of e-readers, including Kindle, Nook, and others.

They take a cut, of it, of course.

True. But stalker's defense in Hide was made high in part to avoid getting kicked out of 'hide' state. Check the AoE defense, its ginormous.
  6. My IOed scrapper has around 5 attacks and 4 slotted armors. All done through gameplay and marketing.

Anyone willing to spend 3600 points (9*400) during a sale, or over 7500 points normally to do the same will NOT cheapen my character.

Rather it will make me go "you did what?" in disbelief.

I'm not a fan either of how better store bought IOs are, but the amount of cash needed to use them makes me not really care if someone uses. That's a lot of money for silly pretendy ones and zeroes, and if Paragon takes their money, then good.
  7. Those prices for Set IOs actually fall into what I'd call fair, so I'll be burning some points on them.

So does the XP boosts. Their current prices just made me rotate alts to use whoever had patrol xp as I used to do before CoH:Freedom. At this price I won't feel so bad at buying a few and burning them.
  8. I don't IO every alt I have with set IOs. Sell me common IOs that level with me and give them at 10-20 points each and I will buy them by the dozens.

    Dozens I say.

    Bam Bam Bam BOOM!

Every Stalker is a Street Justice stalker. And there will be much giggling.

    Interesting argument.
And this is how languages evolve, so. . .

Back to topic. Meh. Feels like the currency might fall into the too precious to use category, unless the IO I have is so bad I can only go up.

    "Brave" Trailer

Wasn't impressed by it, had I not known it was made by Pixar I would have assumed it was done by some other company. Didn't feel the Pixar charm at all.

But they haven't let me down so far, so it will still be in my radar.
  12. This trailer confused me. It was full of sincere comedic aura without any comic bits whatsoever. Normally crappy movies are full of bad jokes with no comedic feeling.
  13. This is probably I've ever seen anyone call Invoke Panic great. . .
  14. Am I the only one who had bigger problems with Dillo than with Manticore? Granted I was playing on a Dominator, but he wiped me more than Mr Red Batman.
  15. At this point it might be too hard to make content that will challenge a team of level 50 incarnates that will not be too difficult for regular 50s / high 40s.

If I was a dev, given that I shouldn't be taking away powers I'd already given, I'd be focusing on making content/TFs that are low level enough than said powers would not be available.

    Longer Bios

I've always liked the idea of multiple bio pages. Basic page for main information, and extra pages for character progression, next issue, etc.
  17. There's also with SR tank being so easy to softcap, its easier devote all your IOs for other things, like +hp and +recharge.
  18. I love the DFB. However, I'd be more than ok for it to have diminishing rewards per character. 100% first run, 95% second 85% third, 70% fourth, 50% fifth, and stay at 50%.

It's already PLing enough as it is it needs to entice people to get out of it. I can see someone thinking the game is very repetitive and dull if all they run is the thing.

Seems to be working fairly well so far.
I am not really sure how it works long term, but I find converting 2 Hero Merits to Luck of the Gambler: +7.5% recharge, or the Numina and Miracle +recovery IOs to be better investment. Crafted these can sell for 150 million, and you can pick the level for the recipe, and the lower the better.

Again, it could be that 10 random rares might be worth more than that on average, but I don't like the randomness.

Bah. I meant easy as in "not having to run the same two things over and over again for it." Time-wise iTrials is easier. Hence why I'm using them for Alpha as well as everything else.

And yes, I miss shards. Getting a level 50 team nowadays seems to be iTrial or nothing. And I usually don't have time to lead my own teams.

T.S Eliot quote: “if I had more time, I would have written a shorter letter”

Leonard Bernstein quote: “To achieve great things, two things are needed; a plan, and not quite enough time.”

More time does not equal better. And based on my experience this is true.

Although yes a month for a novel is not ideal, the whole point of this is a stress marathon, trial of fire, personal challenge, not to produce something good. It also helps to avoid the slacking habit of revising as a way to avoid going forward.

After November is over, go ahead and edit the hell out of it. After all, the first draft of anything is [a piece of excrement].

Ahhh! I promised to myself to do it this year but I got nothing and my schedule might now allow it.

    No fair.

I'm currently working on one that is roughly 66% done, so that will not do, but I do have an idea for a shorter one. . . hmm....

I run a few trials, start slotting Alpha and go from there.
Getting the Alpha level shift through shards and Notices was easy before the iTrials came around. Level 50s had nothing to do but do the shard giving tasks.

Nowadays its so much easier to fill Alpha by running iTrials its a shame. I miss shards. . .
  24. Gladiator movie style sword fights with old kung fu movie style roundhouses!

All they need to do is pull some wild west revolvers as the body flies away from the kick and unload all six bullets as the body is still falling.

    All this said, I'm interested.

I've done this a few times. Five millions seems like so much on someone on their first level 30
