Lord Sammarov is my main hero (lvl 50 tank) he Lord of House Sammarov (my hero side SG). Lord Sammarov (AKA Torell <a hero scrapper&gt and Algon Hyve (villain MM) grew up together and were raised as brothers. They attended boot camp together and served together as members of 107th Imperial Lander Force (LF 107) During their 1st assignment Algon was badly wounded in battle (thus the eye patch) as he was wounded per normal custom of the empire he could not hold any office or retain his commission. As a matter of pride and to redeem himself in the eyes of his House he joined the Mercenary Union (COV) to prove his worth. Additionally, House Sammarov fell out of favor with the emperor and could not hire any mercenaries of their own. So when Algon completes the redemption mish/tf he not only returns as a full member of House Sammarov (he actually never lost this status) but he returns with his own mercs thus enabling House Sammarov to hire mercs again. The pic depicts Torell as Lord Sammarov giving Algon his beret with the seal (the winged unicorn) of House Sammarov on it

Hello all -

This was a really cool piece to work on with Torell. What I enjoy most about art is Storytelling, and he has a heck of a cool story behind this. Torell was also a great Art Director -- he really knew what he wanted and I think we ended up with a cool looking piece with an interesting backstory.

AS always, I greatly appreciate the comments and the feedback -- ALL feedback -- Dante, I hate to say it, but you're absolutely correct about the skinny legs on Lord Samarrov. Dang it!

Anyone ever work on a piece for hours and not see an obvious flaw until someone else notices it?

I'm glad everyone enjoyed the art.. Brandon you were great to work with.. we tried to say alot with one static shot and we really pulled it off.. in my mind.. there is so much more to the back story and I have this grin when I look at you and Gill's art.

<side bar> It might help to point out the broken Arachnos helm in LS's other hand and the bits and pieces on the ground.. I think Brandon did 3 or 4 versions of the helm before it was the way I liked it.. </sidebar>

Lord Sammarov is a Hero and is Lord of House Sammarov (my hero side SG). Algon is a Villian and just completed the Redemption Trail/TF/Mish and returns home to House Sammarov. where he belongs

Well the connection at home is out for a week and the one here at work don't let me see most of the art thats displayed. So I am missing all the pieces everyone is posting so it's got me all bummed out.


Nevermind the fact that I can't get to the forums or the game(or cable even) when I'm at home!

So Hopefully by some miracle they fix the outage before but if not I'll come back and check everything out in a week!
