When i16 goes live, what character are you going to immediately go to, or create, to change the colors of all their powers?
The clown blaster that will now have a full rainbow of different colored blasts?
[/ QUOTE ]
Something like this. Before I16 was ever announced I had joked that I'd like a rainbow blast set. Looks like now I can make a rainbow blaster. Though it won't be a clown. -

If you're not praising the game, your opinion doesn't count. Or so I've come to realize.
[/ QUOTE ]
Bull[WARNING EXPLICIT LYRICS].
There is a world of difference between a well-reasoned argument against, or complaint with the game and the type of ranting that is common here, and has been displayed in this thread specifically.
Anyone not understanding that needs to seriously re-examine their understanding of social interactions.
[/ QUOTE ]Yeah, but everywhere else on this board when someone tries to disagree with the game they get told to [censored] off. It's not just pertaining to this thread but the forums in general.
[/ QUOTE ] That isn't true and you know it. You're a liar.
[/ QUOTE ]
No he isn't lying, because every time anyone says anything that isn't the most abject praise, they get told ".... so maybe this isn't the game for you, maybe you need to be somewheres else."
Maybe you're just not seeing it, but yes it happens at least once in 98% of threads dealing with serious issues, feedback threads or really, any thread that reaches sufficient size. Its the stock response for everything:
"OMG this chat bug is driving me crazy!!"
"Maybe you'd best get over yourself, shut up and leave this game which clearly isnt for you, cry moar plz."
Lovely.

It's why I started tagging this game as City of Sycophants. I never knew having honest concerns and complaints about a product you bought was a sin. -

The CoH transactions' content wouldn't bother if it were another game, but one of CoH's big selling points (if not the biggest) is it's ability to customize your character.
[/ QUOTE ]
Now only if you wanna pay 50 or 60 bucks more.
[/ QUOTE ]What?
[/ QUOTE ]
If you want the full line of customization you'd need to buy every booster which would run you 60+ dollars. -

EDIT: On second thought I'd rather just not get into the exact same arguement we have on these forums every RMT pack update.

It's not an expansion, it's a mini-pack.
But y'know, you're right. They shouldn't put out anything to make some extra money to keep a 5 year old game afloat. I'd rather they just shut the game down when they don't make enough each month to run it anymore.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh please. $15.00 per month from over 40k subscribers...this game isn't going anywhere right now. This is all about lining their pockets by selling us features that should have been there all along.
I can understand paying for things like the Mac Pack and the sort,,,but this one is a total, complete rip off.
[/ QUOTE ]
100% agree with you. It's sad the direction this game has gone. Shoulda seen it coming with the wedding pack. -
The hero version was beyond easy if you take the time to get every single ally. The villain ones quite abit harder.
-
IO's are unnecessary. You don't need them to solo 1-50 or anything. You don't need them for certain content. You can play just fine with SO's. The high prices will only be a true problem and unfair to casual players if/when the devs start designing content that requires IO's.

1-50 - AE farmz.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is basically it.
[/ QUOTE ]
As opposed to 1-50 - BM farmz?
[/ QUOTE ]
No idea what that even is. -

[ QUOTE ]
How about if you don't do IO's at all, and use the game like it was initially designed? The game can be much more challenging then.
[/ QUOTE ]
No no they want more challenging. I propose they remove all of their enhancements and run on the highest difficulty. That should be more challenging.
[/ QUOTE ]
I support this idea. -

Take out all your purple IO's and use training enhancements. Bam, games hard and you didn't have to make it unfun for those of us who find it "just right".
-
I've basically stopped playing due to teams being non-existant for me (virtue, by the way). My options have been solo or try and find a farm team.
-
Sci-fi has always just been the UPN of cable TV for me. Really bad shows and bad movies. I watch ECW and ghost hunters and thats about it, so the name change won't effect me much.

Yeah, I gotta agree there Bad_Influence. The goggles are pretty cool, especially the retro goggles, but that's just not enough to make me spend $10. The height adjuster would come in handy now and then, but I think it should have definetly been free to everyone and not included in a booster pack. People have been asking for a height adjuster longer than power customization. Kinda messed up IMO to put it in a booster. About as messed up as if they put Dual Pistols in the GR expansion and force folks to buy GR to finally get Dual Pistols.
If the booster packs and expansions are full of quality stuff, they wouldn't have to put things like height adjuster in there to get people to buy it. It's not to late. I really think they should through a temp power and a few more cotume peices in the science booster, and just make the height adjuster included in issue 15 or 16.
[/ QUOTE ]
QFT. I wish they'd do that. They won't, but It'd be cool if they did. -
I used to run costume contests but I soon realized that like clockwork, everytime you ran one someone would shout "RIGGED!" or something similar. As if they were truly convinced that the only way their polkadot neon eye sore could lose is if the contest was rigged.

is the Super Tailor available to people who don't buy the pack...?
[/ QUOTE ]
Bwahahaha.
[/ QUOTE ]
We pay for QoL boosters now too! -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm very peeved that the tailor changes that some of us wanted since day 1 (changing body type and height) end up in a paid booster.
What's next? A jet pack costume item for the Natural Booster? Fox tails or animated tails in the Mutant Booster?
grumble grumble grumble
And yes I read Castle's post about it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Also very upset about this. If this was gonna be in a paid thing it should of been in goin rogue. Not in a "fluff" booster. Really dissapointed about this. I was just coming back from a break but I think I'm going to take another break.... -
I just auto-deny them every time someone tries it on me.
-
God will probably get taken out of the censor.
Considering an NPC already uses it in game, I see no logical reason to ban players from using it. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm glad you find it offensive that it's censored.
Now take it up with the Networks. NBC ABC CBS. Why do they censor the word 'God'
[/ QUOTE ]
I've seen God used on TV Y7 Nickelodeon kids shows. It's generally fine if used like "Oh My God!" -
No thank you. Costumes is one thing but maps and such would be paying for actual content updates instead of fluff.
I would not be oppossed if it came in say....a large expansion pack with tons of other features. Even still, I'd rather it be a normal update, not a booster pack. -
Considering we can't even swear.....Probably G rated?
-
So I'm considering trying to put together "Toony's High Blood Pressure Taskforce!" an arc that will be so annoying and make you so angry that if you don't scream out "THIS GUY IS A REAL JERK!" by the end of it, your money back.
I'll be borrowing some of the ideas from this thread, and would like any further suggestions on missions that would make one cry (not so much kill the player instafail, but along the lines of "Defeat all" mission blurb with a glowie called defeat all)
