/nein, /no, /nunca, /nyet.
If I knew any other languages offhand, I'd use those.
Post-50 content is a good idea. Invalidating the IO investments of purples and other expensive sets is stupid.
Further, a larger level range only spreads out the market IO's by increasing leveling-time, and distancing the range from start to finish. -
Quote:PvP rules in a PvE environment for the lulz.To be able to ROTFL as I watch a scrapper lose his mez prot and get insta held be pve mobs in the area. TL;DR: on that last line: mixing pvp states in pve was a dead idea the day they issued issue 13 and allowed powers to work differently between pvp and pve zones, and in many instances having mobs be MORE dangerous in pvp zones than in pve ones.
This brings up an excellent point: if PvP in its current state is riddled with balance issues and makes very little sense when coming from a PvE mindset, what's the likelyhood of ever being able to implement world PvP?
They have to fix PvP before they even think about such an idea. And given that PvP is below carp melee on the priority list, we aren't going to expect anything probably within our lifetime.
Sorry, OP. -

Yeah, my money is on the scrapper. If you are going to compare AoE specialists with ST specialists, you're going to come to different conclusions. At the same time, a DM/SD scrapper can theoretically put out 300 DPS single-target, which should be more than a SD/SS brute is capable of.
FM/SD > SD/FM
Fire/Fire Scrapper > Fire/Fire Tank (though I would loooooove combustion on a scrapper)
DM/SD > SD/DM
Elec/SD > SD/SS tank > SD/Elec tank
The Elec/SD/Blaze is the AoE king of the melee classes, IF Lightning Rod and Shield Charge hit their max targets. In most circumstances, Fire/SD will pull ahead with a faster recharging AoE and better single-target damage. Plus, try explaining someone that throws fireballs and has an endless supply of static electricity. -
Wouldn't Sister Psyche now age normally because she is in her original body again?

Quote:SS/ELA is a brute. The attacks are first.Hm.. I rolled a SS/Ele (Mainly for PVP) but I am going to test this guy on farming and tell you guys how it goes, I already have a fire/fire brute. Right now my SS/ Ele is kinda squshy, but he is only lvl 16. If all comes worse I'll make a SS/SD
ELA/SS is a tank. The armor is first.
It may seem minor, but I didn't reply to your post at first because I wasn't completely sure whether you wanted a brute or a tank because you flipped the primary and secondary. It really helps me understand exactly what you're talking about. -
Quote:It's possible to get fury up to 90% without being attacked. If you have one, and only one wish for Brutes... something to enhance your brute gaming experience... what it would be?
For me, I would like Fury to last a little more, so I can accumulate it easier... I just cant keep it growing... never got it past 20% of the bar...
I'm guessing you picked a set with slow-animating attacks. Pick a set with fast cast times and you'll get your fury a lot faster.
Another technique players use (I've never needed to) is place brawl on autofire to help build fury faster. It animates quick and costs 0 endurance, helping early on with endurance issues.
I'm here to help you figure out why fury is a problem for you. Because being a SMASHaholic addicted to SMASHahol is a beautiful thing. -

Quote:There was a suggestion for this a few weeks ago, and it was shot down because powers aren't always ordered in the same order. For example, followup is not the same level as rage, so one could potentially have a brute with both followup and rage. There are plenty of other examples out there.i think that for all power sets they should add a way to do split secondaries. Like taking a few fire and a few energy powers. As long as you can't double up on teir 9 powers or have two build ups. Maybe this would be too powerfull. But, it would open up alot of options.
Plus the secondaries of tanks/brutes, and corrs/fenders are reversed, so you can't apply that generalization. -
Quote:Given your title of the topic and that you don't seem to realize just how significant shield charge and lightning rod are to the combination, I'd arrive at a similar judgment. Don't count your chickens until they are hatched.I must apologize if this reply will seem mean, but do me a favour sir: Stop treating me like a freaking noob!! I have played the game long enough to *imagine* the power an Elec/Shield can perform compared to an Elec/SR, I have even had the chance to see one in action. All I wanted to point out here, more or less, is that I felt more surviveable with my Elec/SR than an Elec/Shield I teamed with. And appearently, surviveabilty is more intense on /SR than on /SD, depending on what we talk about in surviveability.
Further, I wouldn't even judge elec/shield's performance until I had thrown in at least a half billion at it at level 50, simply do to the performance the set is capable of.
It will be harder to play a /SD, for the reasons explained above. Your base numbers are lower, and you don't get auto defense powers to further push you toward the softcap. A good rule of thumb is stock up on small lucks to help you on the way to 50. Post 50, orange inspies are a beautiful thing. -
For exporting, use PhPBB code, not official forums as it's set for the old forums, and causes that issue you're having. For color, select Fruit Salad as it is easily viewable on both Red and Blue forum layouts.
Slotting choices:
-Everything Finduilas already said.
-RTTC is overslotted, and I don't think the set bonuses you're getting with 6-slotted numina are doing anything for you. Remember Heal bonuses only affect healing, not regen.
-Finduilas is right, your attacks are underslotted for accuracy when you're using Kinetics. I'm repeating this for emphasis.
-Brutes benefit the least from DMG Buff bonuses (maybe defenders are lower, I dunno) as they have a low base damage, and fury enters the picture. I wouldn't bother slotting for it.
-You want to slot your passive regen powers better.
-That's a really odd hami in Tough. Def/End/To-Hit
-The psi defense is pretty meh IMO in your 6th purple in Mu Lightning. There are better uses. Same with all your 6 slotted purples. Grab another IO instead of the straight DAM one.
-Aid Self would benefit from set IO's as well. Nothing wrong with two more numi (heal/rech and heal/end/rech or straight heal) here. Might even be unnecessary if you use inspies intelligently, so you can grab more interesting powers.
-The steadfast 3% is better in MoB because you can benefit from the resists (which you aren't using either). It will allow you to reslot MoB with those reactives and get more end efficiency.

Quote:I think that is in 6.7.7.7 meter (which is uncommon) for verse. The last line doesn't quite fit. The trouble is the division of the third and fourth line as it is a phrase elision, though I would probably pair it 7.7 here instead of 9.5, especially with your choice of rhyme scheme.(roughly to the tune of Aladdin's "A Whole New World")
My system was so slow
Barely ran 8-bit graphics
Even sprinting was tragic
A frame by frame slide show
In other words, You need one more syllable in the last line, though it's still nice.
The chorus is isometric, as is typical.
edit: sorry, my brain is a party pooper.
YAY SONG!
Better? -
Quote:I think the numbers were different, but I've noticed the same thing in experiments in AE. Put 300 NPCs with auras and capes in a small area and my decent machine (not a gaming rig) suddenly does a slide-show.i think the devs are planning to improve performance in the ITF by removing the capes from the romans in i17, BABs even stated somewhere (cant find the post atm), that there is a significant performance drop when more critters or players are using capes (i think he said with 100 critters that have capes theres a 97% decrease in performance)
However, not all of the ITF is a framerate issue, and would not be solved by this, though this certainly would be nice to have as well. -
Quote:It really needs a better title. I keep reading that as Marital Manipulation.I'd probably go with something else for my Martial Manipulation:
Web Grenade
Storm Kick
Crane Kick
Focus Chi
Physical Perfection
Cobra Strike
Eagle's Claw
Quickness
Dragon's Tail
It's still a good premise to have more secondaries. -
Quote:Not quite. Some of the issue is server-side, and therefore, no amount of fortune you throw at your own PC will help. The OP is just in time to ask this question because in 2 months time 70% (guess) of the player base will not notice the lagg in any way!
Because around then they will have upgraded their gfx card to run Ultra Mode. And the main problem of lagg hill is the amound of capes and enemies in the zone. The new gfx cards can handle that much easier.
Doesnt take away that this has to be looked at though.
I still stick by the simple solution of removing phalanx fighting from NPCs so the calculations are easier on the server. At least this is based on my limited understanding of how that particular map works. -
The GVE Edition Pocket D teleporter takes you to a tailor.
Quote:2) Tailor Shop interface for use/placement in Bases
Quote:3) Mission Architect interface for use/placement in Bases
Quote:4) Ability to sell enhancements in Pocket D
Quote:5) Extended period of daylight time (it gets dark way too fast and stays that way for way too long)
Quote:6) A "shawl" or "shoulder wrap" costume piece
Quote:7) Vet rewards: ability to assign Vet Pets to individual costume slots
Quote:8) A skateboard emote or travel power
Quote:9) Place Community Information Boards in the Rogue Isles
Quote:10) Allow Community Information Boards to provide "Matchmaker" services for players who are looking to join a random team *instantly* - no questions asked
It's much better to have the search interface also show teams marked as LFM that players can send tells to.

Quote:Except brutes and scrappers share the same base stats for their resists/defenses, so it is MUCH more expensive to get similar levels of survivability redside. You're looking at about 10% less defense on that build you posted if it was a brute, which is a significant difference in survivability.Red side Invul may be a little bit tougher seeing that there is MUCH more psi red side but a good invul build doesn't have to cost that much. The only hole in my tank's build is the psi hole. I did this build for just over 100mil which is fairly cheap (note I got the uniques with merits)
Quick comment on your build: You might like eradication 4 slotted in footstomp with 2 other IO's from perhaps scirrocco. More nrg defense, HP, and a +end to round out your endurance. -
It is. Doesn't last very long, but it does fire. It just fires a lot more on an AoE than a single-target attack.

Just some comments as I come to them in your build:
Force Feedback is most effective in Footstomp. It's a bit odd to see it in single target attacks, especially when the knockback isn't even guaranteed to happen in powers like haymaker and punch, giving you an even lower chance of it firing. I'd use damage procs in there instead.
Recharge is nice, but so is +HP. I don't think I'd 5 slot HPT with doctored wounds. I'd go with Numina.
The 6% enhancement heal affects heals, not regen powers. So this is silly to use in a set bonus like you did in health. As far as that goes, you want better slotting in fast healing than health.
Are those the specific IOs for Mind over Body? Namely the End/Rech there. Odd. The same with Tough. Switch that with resistance. You want resistance!
Weave is underslotted with your current slotting. Consider dropping the end redux for a LOTG def IO. Heightened Senses' triple should be the defense single aspect first.
The patron attacks are really useful for getting more recharge into builds. You're missing out. -
Quote:Am I reading this correctly?Case in point - level 50s earning pretty much double inf for defeated foes nearly 6 years after the fact, because that wasn't what was supposed to be happening.
When I read this, it sounds like you're saying we earn less inf now than we used to. As far as I know, we are earning now than before because of the bugfix.
Now I can be completely mistaken, but that's what I thought happened. If this is what you're talking about, I'm a little confused as to the relevance, since this is an additive change that errm 'improves' (IMO not so much) things. -
Quote:Yeah, Miss Francine's dialogue is priceless.Well, Phipps too. He may be pathetic in his aims, but they still count.
Mako just really has a better chance of successfully deposing LR, though he'd still need allies to pull it off. But I don't think the Rogue Isles would last very long with Mako in charge. I would be very interested in seeing what the rogue isles would be like if Mako ruled.
The Recluse of the STF is not the Recluse of the LRSF. If you really start examining story lines, I have a hard time seeing them as the same person.
He seems truly power-hungry in the STF, but little more than a petty thug wanting some revenge in the LRSF. My only conclusion is that after the STF, Lord Recluse had a hissy fit, and we get the LRSF.
