Quote:I have a feeling you had more on you than just LR, unless LR is acting differently in Arena than it is in zone. What were your Arena options set to on that KB?I don't know why it was banned. I do know 2 things though. No one is arguing the fact so I am assuming there is something legitimately wrong with it. Also the other day in KB I had LR on me and had no powers up and could barely move for like an entire minute so I am going to assume its not non-existant.
I'd still appreciate an explanation as to why Lingering is banned. -
I'm a huge noob and I'm still confused as to WHY lingering rad is baned. Does PvPEC have a soft spot for Regen Scrappers? Lingering Radiations -recharge is minimal and it's slow component is non-existant.

I agree we should resurrect War-witch and give her a signature hero TF....
After we fix our existing signature hero TFs so that they don't suck.
As a player, i'd really like the signature hero TFs to be..oh, I don't know... about the heroes? -
Quote:Eh, I just place 1.5bill on PvP IOs each week so that I can retain another bill the following week. I've only accidently bought 2 PvP IOs for 1.5 and 1.7 bill but I turned around and sold them for 2bil off market. The cap for non-trial accounts is 2bn.
There are tricks for storing more influence than that (by placing bids on items in the market UI that don't exist in the game, e.g. level 53 IO recipes), but I consider them too risky to use.
Win/win.
1.5 billion a week if I put forth some effort. My main build is pretty much complete so I've slowed down on market manip. Still making about 500mil I end up dumping back into the market. -

Quote:My character Green Scare on Virtue is head of a 501c3 Organization known as the Envionmental Liberation Army. You know, I caught an interesting argument back in the thread - money sinks that basically have you investing money into an activity that doesn't produce money worsens the problem, as the people likely to engage in these aren't the ones that want more money, and the people who want more money are out earning money instead.
So how about the simplest, oldest form of "money sink" in the world - paying for convenience? I discussed that when we were talking about "exclusive" rewards from preorders, in that someone who paid for the preorder got to play with whatever "thing" it came with, while normal people could get the same thing a year later. In this case, having paid had no physical benefit, but it had the benefit of convenience, hence paying money for practically nothing.
I'm not sure what that would translate to in-game, and I'd be VERY careful not to make those of a lower Inf bracket feel like second-class citizens (as I'm among them, among other things), but there ought to be SOMETHING. The Market is a good example of this, in that he who wants something the most will pay the most for it, but since that Inf goes from player to player, it is not being sunk. (A limited number of) extra Market slots might not be a terrible idea, or perhaps some kind of utility travel power, like a million-per-use mission teleporter, just to throw a few ideas out there. Such a power would be needlessly costly to someone who's not wiping his *** with money, if you'll pardon my language, but it would at the same time be a utility to people with disposable income. And yet again, those of us who actually have the original Mission Teleporter get to use the power free of charge, just not all the time.
Our mission statement is: "Save the planet or we'll ******* kill you!"
If anyone is looking for a money sink on Virtue, donations are always welcome. -

You mean in how StarTrek online is and will continue to be syphoning resources from CO and its consumers?

Congratulations on your Promotion WW,
You've mentioned Both "Content" and "End Game" my question is:
What do you define as "content" and can you elaborate as well as offer examples?
What do you define and include in "end came" and can you elaborate/offer examples? -
Quote:Welcome to the Veesmart Server.Hi everyone,I decided to try out Virtue one night for the heck of it,and now Ive moved all my toons from Freedom to here. I never have trouble finding a team, and most everyone Ive ran with are laid back and friendly. I even enjoyed the little bit of RP Ive done so far and hope to get more into it. Id love to join a role play heavy SG to get my feet wet and learn the ropes. Im on mostly after midnight CST to six am, would like to find an active group on around the same times. You can hit me up in game @Adrynnalin. Hope to see you all out there!

Quote:Can't blame players for wanting their builds to be more effective in a team setting. Blame the devs for their short-sightedness. Trust me, things tend to make much more sense.I'm not certain your assumption is correct, especially the part I highlighted.
My reading on the addition of purples and PvP IO's is that they were added specifically to have something in-game that was *NOT* in reach of all players without significant investment (either of time playing/"farming" or in engaging in Market transactions or PvPing in the case of PvP IO's). I am in particular recalling BaB's comment about the irony of someone calling themselves a "casual player" yet having a purple'd out WS. -
Quote:^thisI will have 100 slots of Virtue please, and you can just have all of my other slots from all other servers... except I need 24 slots on Freedom, as Freedom is my level 50 graveyard.
Freedom isn't a server I would particularly like to level my toons up in (from personal experience).
However, being that I enjoy running TFs and not being terribly interested in RP, Freedom is where my 50s end up.
However in Virtue's defense it is my home server and the community is awesome. -
Quote:No, there doesn't need to be more money sinks. They need to stop extending the holiday events and start improving drop rates on rare recipes. Also, give merits for mission completion not only story arcs.I'd like to see scaling WW/BM fees . This could bring down overall influence people have, or create a real black market ( which inflation will create eventually, and already has to some degree).
I'd also like to see random recipe drops added back to TFs that grant more than 20 merits and those TFs merit reward would be reduced by 20.
More randomly generated incidental supply will bring prices down. Instead of adding a new currency to the game they replaced an old supply line, which had the effect of removing random incidental supply. Now that people don't automatically generate supply as a result of a TF, the amount of pool Cs on the market has decreased thus increasing their price.
As far as I can tell the devs wanted to keep everyone happy when they added an alternative to the market, but the problem is they failed epically when they forgot to realize that their chosen implementation would wreck market supply and aggravate people even more due to spiked prices. Sure there is an alternative but now it adversely effects the other group of players instead of catering to both market going and non market going players.
The prices on purples and pvp IOs are unlikely to change unless supply is increased greatly, so I don't see them changing any time soon.
I like the above idea but i'd prefere recipe drop option for the SF/TFs that give 20 or less merits. We had an incentive to complete Cap SF and other low end merit TFs when they gave recipes, now we don't. -
No you're not. d;D

Quote:I liked your video. You RP hard.I don't recall ever saying you did.
I'm going to diagnose you with the following:
1. A chronic inability to read & understand posts from people who disagree with you.
2. A minor case of arguing for the sake of it.
#2 isn't so bad and can be cured with beatingwithastickide tablets. #1 is a bit more severe however and I'm afraid a frontal lobotomy is all I can prescribe in good conscience. -
Quote:You're Miconscience? lol, awwm now I feel bad for making fun of someone with Downs. :POh well in the last year, I'd probably be best known for
Miconscience, Grav/Psi Dom... extreme range build. If I had a dime for every toon that respecc'ed into lol web genade or left zone in rage to get a loljetpack when playing this toon... I'd be filthy rich atm.
Many more rolled up... several from back in the day.
This is Terminal. The worst PvPer on Virtue. Soon to be the worst on Freedom. d;D
And avid arena ERPer. -
