There's still a good number of us around, honestly. It's just quiet on the boards. There's still activity in chat channels and in the zones (mostly), and I've noticed a slight effort lately for us to be more social. More tfs and sfs such going on...and I've seen a couple *gasp* PuG groups going on.
Glad to hear you're enjoying DDO. Heard it's good.
Also, DP is fun. Not overpowered, but fun. -
Just curious if it's just a bug on my account or if someone else has run into this...
I finally pulled out my elec/storm after admittingly not playing her for months. I've never touched her costume past the first slot, never played around with Power Customization with her...I had originally swapped her to another server, then pulled her back to my home server when I realized I missed playing storm on villainside.
TL;DR, my VS keeps popping out as the hero version. The electricity around my toon's hands as I cast it is the proper red lightning, and then sitting in front of me is that purple/white/blue hero version of VS. I've logged, swapped zones, did a little dance, and it's still the hero version.
It's not a huge issue, since I'm kinda assuming a trip to the tailor and hitting 'original' on the powers will set it back, just curious if it's more than just me. -
Sign me up for either team. I'll be bringing some sort of support toon, per normal. Mostly likely my therm, Ball of Sunshine, but don't quote me on that quite yet.

Quote:So, what was this about?
I take it both sides met at a their rendezvous points and were instructed to go to Warburg. Once there a Malta and zombie invasion occurred in addition to some PVP thing?
I'm not sure I really care, but I'll hit "submit reply" anyway.
Basically what Eran said. Ingame, there was a server wide annoucement to either head to St M or King's Row at a specific location. Kadabra and Vanessa were run by devs/employees of some sort, and they gave us instructions in broadcast and local.
The villains ran into the extra delicious surprise of a freak zombie invasion, in St M, right as we got into fighting the Malta that were part of the event. People kept telling us to avoid the zombies, but it wasn't really possible with how we were grouped and using AoEs on the Malta.
Also added 'bonus'...Vanessa walked over to Warburg. And then once in Warburg we escorted our chosen Celebrity to the missile launch site to 'stop the missle launch that could destroy Paragon/Isles'. And evidently whoever got there first won. And we got titles. And stuff.
I dunno, it was cool to have an ingame event with the dev/whoever running the show. The ambushes were vicious and the PvP, was, as it has been said, a twist, but overall fun. And actually challenging. -
I definitely accidently killed a couple guys on my side when I went on autopilot and used Rain of Fire, fireball and breath of fire. Whoops?
I had fun. The random zombie event was killer. And definitely changed it into a perspective of "54 Malta are they crazy?!?!" to "Lawdy, just get rid of the freakin' zombies and we'll be ok!"
The PvP zone thing was definitely a twist I didn't expect. I wasn't horribly offended, but it did make things...interesting. It did get me to PvP with the new system (yes, it has been that long since I did any PvP) and I can say I prefer the old version. But when we were mobbed like that...fun times. -
Quote:Protip: It's Infinity, and despite our smaller population...you probably did miss drama.Threatening to grief an event just seemed a disproportionate response to spamming, and I was curious if I'd missed some hidden dramz. I'm dense that way, so typically, I do.
Dun dun DUUUUUNNN!!! Oh noes!
And yeah. Stuff* happens, it mostly only mildly irked me.
*Darn you to heck, auto-censor! -
Quote:Because he posted in threads about things not going on with Hami raids? And two other threads too, if I remember correctly. Why are you pissed off that someone else is excited about an event?
We're not pissed at him being excited, we have our feathers ruffled because he spammed it. That's all. Maybe if Infinity boards were a bit more active, it wouldn't be as obvious, but when you got blueside chatter going on in a redside thread...
....we're cranky old farts. Git offa mah thread! -
Quote:Ahem. As much as I'm really happy for you being excited and gung ho about the Hami Raid thingy planned soon...this is a thread about the Taxibots being nice enough (and evidently the new kid on the block as well) to run a SF series for us villains.I'm glad to hear someone else also is trying to drum up activities aswell. We are also trying to get Hami Raids back in full swing. My vision is to Hami's alternating weekends between Blu/redside. First Raid is March 6th at 8pm EST. With the caliber of players we have on Infinity we should pull it off with no hitches. Raids can go from anywheres from 30-60 minutes. Our first in a long time so we should be near the 60 mark. Due to the explanation of attack and what not. So I guess what I'm getting to is...Can we count on Taxi's to fullfill the support role in the Hamis. It would be great to have you all there!! Thanks for what you all do! To support not only the game but players aswell. Good Hunting......Wolf-ire
....the Hami Raid is even going to be blue side. Please keep Hami Raid discussion to the other threads about it.
Thanks! -
I'd be down for that.
Edit: Also...I'd be interested in all sfs. They're fun! -
Quote:I've actually seen this happen. It's not pretty. Let's do it!* Emote Dance Party: Get the sound system cranked and begin dancing. The only catch is you HAVE to dance in one of the existing dance emotes available in-game. You would be amazed how quickly a group of adults can look exactly like Charlie Brown's Peanuts gang from the old cartoons. Don't like dancing? That's fine. Just do the teabag or judge(1-10) emotes from the sidelines. We have been asked you do not do the vomit/hurl emote however, as it hurts some of the dancers' feelings.
That being said, I lol'd while reading it all. -
Quote:Ok, that made me lol.DUDE, I love that guy! Man, I hope I can get off work that night......
Seriously, I'll do everything in my power to get that night off. And if I can't, guess I'll play sick! Just name the places and times and I will try to be there, whatever it takes to get Infinity raiding again, whether you need raid leads, team leads, or just to show up. Hami raiding is damn near the most "epic" thing you can do on CoX, and I love being apart of that! Hope to see everyone there.
And unfortunately weeknights usually don't work for me (even Fridays), but I will be more than happy to spread the word around/pitch in for prep beforehand. -
Quote:Boy, we needs to talk.Ohh wait, I'm not in that channel anymore cause I gots kicked out for chatting.
And I didn't know you had gotten kicked out.
Also, you aren't a youngin. Last time I checked, you were older than me. Actually, except for AE Anon, most people are older than me, now that I think about it... -
Quote:Logic has never been my strong suit after my bedtime.Well, let's see, which channels was I using for all those TF's you came along for?
Personally, I'm on:
Inf Badge Seeker
Infinity Hamidon
AE Anonymous
And AE Anon is good for finding the occasional pick up team/task force, but it has been filled with a LOT of pointless, painful chatter lately. But since it's the same people everyday being less-than-intelligent, I guess /gignoring them would help. -
Heyo, I don't have any active vg/sg to offer, but I do know Infinity runs a lot off of global chat channels. It's late and I'm tired, so I don't remember the whole list off the top of my head, but there's a handful that you can chime in on for tfs/sfs and just general teaming.
Beyond that, feel free to send me a tell in-game if you get bored. I'm usually up for teaming if I got time. @Tiny Bolt or @Tinier Bolt. I'm mostly red side, but I don't mind popping to heroside for teaming occasionally. -
Because it is the Internet. Sorry, that's basically it. Everyone has an opinion...and here is a 'safe' place to let it loose, so to speak. Therefore, you are going to get the naysayers who want to toss in their two cents on matters they claim not to care about. Also...it's Infinity. We're a buncha cranky old farts. That said, I really will help once or twice, life permitting. I'm on either @Tiny Bolt or @Tinier Bolt. Feel free to drop me a line if ya wanna try and start it up again/need an emergency lead.

Quote:If you're going to get nitpicky about the issue, at least get who you're responding to right. That was me, not Errant. There are actually more people than just me pointing out that villainside needs more content. We're not talking about parity generation at all. You specifically saidQuote:
we've mostly only had hero-heavy content or co-op things that are so badly written and copy/pasta'd in for villains it isn't funny.
Thanks for remembering me though, I guess? -
Same as Errant, basically. Set up in my own sg and such, but would love to team. @Tiny Bolt and @Tinier Bolt are my two globals. Welcome to Infinity!

Quote:No, you aren't listening. We aren't asking for them to ignore blue side. We are asking for at least some villain only content! Since CoV has come out, we've mostly only had hero-heavy content or co-op things that are so badly written and copy/pasta'd in for villains it isn't funny.Except that the only reason that disparity exists at all is because blueside has simply been around longer. You don't get to magically start claiming that there needs to be an imbalance in development effort between the sides because redside hasn't been around as long and needs loving. It makes substantially more sense to simply do as they have said they are and continue to develop for both sides equally.
We have content gaps, just like other, newer games. We've been out years! Yet we don't get our own content? I know heroes have been around longer, so blueside has enough content to sit on their hands while they get slightly less content in one or two issues so redside has more stuff to do. We are not asking that heroes get ignored, just that we get some shinies to play with that aren't terribly bugged and freshen things up on our side for once.
And Sam, I don't mind Operative Kirkland as much, but sincerely hate Hardcase. Just become a hero already, man, and leave us alone. Also, I don't understand his love affair with Wailers. -
Quote:This, basically. Until we get regular raids going we'll probably have the issues of people bailing and not finding good people to take their spot, etc.I think that after enough of these are done, Hami Raids can be as "routine" as Mother Ship Raids on Infinity.
Cremzen, I really hope you're successful in bringing Hami Raids back!
But once everyone gets in the habit of them, they should be easy and quick. -
Quote:It's ok...I'll bring Lady. She'll make up for your lack of awesome. Also, you can then kill things for me so I can a) eat, b) go afk or c) work on costumes.I'm in. Want my Ice/Fire Dom, DM/EA Brute, or DM/SR Stalker...
Okay, so I'm out until I level up a useful toon.
Brilliant! -
Quote:You know what I haven't done in a long, long time?Hopefully Posi's new 'End Game' focus will give us some new stuff to do. Lord knows I love my Big Four, but it'd be fun to have some new toys to romp over.
A RSF. I know they require more set up than the current popular sfs, but I actually loved that creaky ol' broken piece of you-know-what.
I think I need to bribe people into doing one soon... -

So, Herc...any progress on this?
No rush, just curious.
