  1. Tolarin is my main toon, and I love playing him. He's the only one I've gotten to the first level shift, and he has a fair survivability for a blaster.

But I know he can be even better. Especially with the changes in the past year or so (I've been on hiatus). And I never finished slotting out the design from the last build, either.

Powers that are taken are the powers I want, with the exception of the leadership pool. I'm not really sure I'm happy with the end cost vs the benefit, and I definitely don't like how long it takes to redo all the toggles after a nuke. I would love to trade out some of the pool for Afterburner, and have toyed with doing boxing and tough in place of the rest of the pool.

Now that epics can be obtained earlier, I'd like to get temp invuln that much earlier. I *do* use FoN on occasion (what can I say, this toon is a blaster who thinks he's a tank on most regular teams) so I'd like to keep it. I also do exemp regularly enough that I'd like the build to exemp well into the 30s (which is why so many of the set pieces are so low).

I have about 700 reward merits to play with, 800 mil or so in inf, and already have but have not placed two of the blaster ATOs. I do have at least one, possibly two catalysts so I can convert those to superior ATOs. I only have two hero merits at the moment, and don't have any purples that are appropriate for him.

    Any suggestions?

  2. I don't know about any of y'all, but for me, I kept getting lost when trying to remember which of the trees had which effect so I'd be able to better compare Alpha Enhancement to Alpha Enhancement.

So, I put together a chart to be able to say "I want to boost my defense debuff, which path do I need" for example.

    Help yourselves.

(If people find it useful enough and someone wants to convert it to the wiki, be my guest)

I use it as a badge checklist for my badger, as I'm always losing track of what I've already got, what I still need to get, and the 'Low Hanging Fruit' is one of my favourite aspects: a list of badges that I haven't earned yet, with the 'easiest', most common ones at the top.

I also use it as a method of 'filing' my characters, but that's just a personal thing. Since a young age I've always had a thing for sorting things out and taking a note of information in tables, charts, and that kind of thing, so having it done for me is somewhat satisfying.
This pretty much sums it up for me, too, though I honestly don't keep up with the CIT part for too long. I go in phases.

    The build export, though...

  6. Wow, okay, you can tell which is more important for me right at the moment....

I saw it mentioning badges and being part of Titan, and I stopped reading. I was too excited about the build export.

    ONE CLICK for badges??

    Wow!

Not critical for me. Toons that are still on TOs are so subject to change that I don't ever bother with putting enhancements in the slots when in mids. It's only when they start hitting the 20s (or in some occasions, late teens) that I start working with more than just order of powers.

I can also say that some of the SOs are coming in greyed out for some reason. Again, not a bit issues, you've saved WEEKS of work for those of us with a lot of characters.

Edit to add: 44 characters later, and you have one happy player And I posted all the "errors" / "quirks" I ran into. Happy, happy customer here!

Only thing i have noticed... but apart from that.. I am still recovering from the shock of how awesome it is....
I've found that as well, and that the gamestop pre order special IOs don't show up either. (Not that they appear to be in mids at all at this point...) Even with that, this is SO MUCH of a time saver....

I also had one time when it couldn't access the clipboard. Don't know if I was going too fast, or if it's because I had *just* loaded one into Mids. Now I've been saving the just loaded build in mids, clearing, and haven't had a problem since.

    OMG!!!!!

This is FANTASTIC!!!! Going to get it now!

    Edit:
Got it, used it on one toon so far, LOVING IT!!!!

Was there a new update to the unofficial patch? Because the unofficial patch that I was using to experiment with was essentially a copy of the pool fitness into an inherent slot. That information was publicly announced so I don't see how it was using closed beta info.

    /em confused

In any case, thanks for all the hard work on this program y'all!

  14. Thanks again, Avatea and the art department for running this contest. It was a lot of fun to hunt for good screenies, and as I picked zones I'm actually -less- familiar with, it really made me appreciate those zones better.

If there's an interest, are we allowed to share pictures of the rest of our entries? I know that I for one would like to see more of what others submitted.
  15. You guys are making November a major WANT.

First i19 (at least speculated to be released in Nov) and now this!

    WANT!
  16. The new Burn for blasters has an odd sound with it that just doesn't seem to make sense to me.

I also agree on the Sonic sets

I do agree with Liquid as well... the ability to customize the power's sound as we do the colors would be fantastic.

Something else I would love would be the ability to change our character voices (like the jump or the taunt sounds). Have five or six different female voices and five or six different male voices.
  17. Ooh, I forgot about the Legacy Chain helmets and chest pieces. I've been wanting those as well since I first saw the Legacy Chain.

THIS! So definitely this, though that technically would fall into some of the costume editor menu revamp that has been requested/mentioned in other threads.

I'd also like to second what people are calling the sashes I guess? The oracle costumes from the ITF, for example. Something like that is something we've been wanting for a long time.

And robes!! CoT robes! Tsoo robes! Though I can see how those and the 'sashes' would be hard to tie to current character models without splitting them into a top half and bottom half.

Something else that should be fairly easy to put in.... (theoretically).

The shoulder holsters that some of the PPD use.
  19. Hearing "NPC parts", three groups come to mind immediately.

Rikti armor (those pieces that would translate reasonably, anyway)
    Freakshow
    and
    PPD Armor
  20. Yes, it did happen blueside. Faultline had 50 people in it at one point, most if not all gathered at the afore mentioned restaurant. Then Avatea announced the invasion of Longbow redside and Arachnos in AP and PI so my group headed to PI where we were swarmed by spiders. Then the attack seemed to stop, but someone heard there was more in IP. So we headed to IP where, sure enough, there was enough to turn the zone into slideshow mode. That's where we encountered Mako, Scirocco, GW, and Scorpion, and a whole webworth of freshly hatched spiders. (rows and rows and rows and even a trail of the mistresses leading eventually to more of the AVs)

After an hour, the event was over, and two teams went out for calamari as dessert.

Greek was asking for screenies so I'm thinking he'll be posting some. If not, I'll try to post some later.

    ?
I read that comment differently. I read it purely as denying being the source of the news leak, and as non-explicit confirmation that yes, he has left/laid off
  22. I really, really hope it's not true, but evidence seems to add up that it is.

*salute* We'll really, really miss you, BaBs. You've been a fantastic member of this community for a long time. Good luck in whatever you pursue.
  23. 1. Are you male or female?
    Female

    2. What ATs do you mostly play, and for what reason(s)?
I play them all, but tend to go blasters, trollers, tanks, scrappers, defenders, and now I've recently been adding corruptor, dominator, and stalker to that list. I have at least one of every AT but SoA, but I spend the most time on my blasters and trollers.

    3. Redside, blueside, purpleside, or any combination of the above?
    Blueside for the most part

    4. What are your favorite story arcs?
The ITF, the clone/Proteus ones in the 20s (both red and blueside), Maria Jenkins' arc (old and new)

    5. What makes you like this game?
That actually varies. Sometimes it's the community. Other times, the "power" -- I feel super powered with many of my toons. Sometimes, it's the way we can build characters. A lot of time, it's the wide choices available in powersets, look, etc. I love the travel powers, and the mini games that exist in just leaping from building to building with SJ or NR. Many times, it's to play with my friends. Sometimes, I enjoy the graphics. For a few years, I was very much into RP and writing. (Health complications have ended that.) All in all, it's the game I keep coming back to. I've taken a break twice to go to other games, but after about 2 months I'm ready to come back and enjoy it all the more.

    6. What other games do you play?
Right now, this is my game. I have in the past played EQ2, WoW, Wizard 101, Eve Online, and a bunch of smaller web games like boring old tetris.

    7. How long have you been playing?
I've had my account for 4 years, but have spent a few months taking breaks. So say nearly 4 years.

    8. How many alts do you have, what is the average level range, and how many are level 50?
*laughs* I'm somewhere in the 30s for number of alts, at least. I actually have two accounts so I can have my alts all on the same server and still have room for more. I have 6 50s: 1 defender, 1 scrapper, 1 blaster, 2 trollers, and 1 tank. I have at least 5 toons in their 40s. Most of mine are in the 20-30 range, but the ones I play most are actually my 50 blaster and trollers.

    9. Do you bother with softcaps, set bonuses, and all that numerical stuff? What difficulty settings to you normally use?
Softcapping, no. Set bonuses, yes. Getting relatively high in set bonuses, on some toons. Numerical stuff, yes. But I go for what I find fun, not necessarily what survives the most. Normally, I actually keep to the default +0/x1, though I'll sometimes kick it up for a little more challenge. My main blaster, I've been running at -1/x4 lately.
  24. Well, Virtue at least had a nice big hiccup last night, so they may be fixing whatever caused that.
