It would be cool, as some stated, if there were groups of Arachnos ambush squads that attacked VEATs at random intervals. I can't imagine Arachnos would be 'okay' with one of their own going AWOL and not take any action on these defectors.
If you don't mind spoilers: your Arachnos Soldier / Widow eventually changes their destiny itself so that they really are a Destined One. Hence, you are now on-par with every Tom, Dick, and Harry in Arachnos' eyes.

    Toon Name Game

    Still Dominator

Ice / Ice, Stone / Stone, or mix-match them

Costume is that of an animated statue.
  3. This origin pack finally got me off my lazy butt and made me actually play my Spines/Regen, Epicflora. I was kind of camping the name hoping to get the desire to play her someday.

Might I say that despite being level 2 at the moment, the leaves cape and aura goes nicely with the gigantic tree-thorns of DOOM.
  4. If I was an old man with that kind of robot, I'd feel scared for my life. It's just so ... uncanny. In fact, I'd have a heart attack daily running into that thing sitting there.

EDIT: Also, dear Japan: less creepy humanoid robots, more giant battle mechs! C'mon!

What ever happened to Flower Knight after that first hero mission?
    She's in (hero) Ouroboros.

    Quote:
What ever happened to Spirit Drum and the rest of those interesting Korean Heros?
You mean Mirror Spirit, Foreshadow, the one that looks like Ms. Liberty, and Spark Blade? The first is the Faultline trainer and the second is the Hollows trainer.

    Quote:
    Are there Troll Warriors?
Trolls are affiliated with the group that rivals the Warriors, so they're not buddy-buddy enough for that to happen.

What ever happened with that Chosen storyine for COV where some psychic thought you were going to do something important.
The VEAT contact? (spoiler alert): the "something important" is that your destiny shifts so that you are an official Destined One.

Where did all that "meat" for Dr Vahilzok's meat armor come from?
Dead people. Well, dead after that meat was carved off, that's the only for-sure.

    Feel free to correct me on anything I was wrong about. >_>;;
  7. Indeed, they should release a pack. Perhaps "Prestige Pack" would be fitting?

What would happen if I tried to add a "Collector's Booster" that contained both item sets?
Nothing, really. I had the standard City of Heroes, but luckily Big Lots was selling an old collector's edition copy, and so that got applied to my account later. Overlap just fills in the things you don't already have.
  8. Unknown_User pretty much paraphrased what the in-game description of natural is: if it's possible for anyone (of your species) to be able to do it, then it's natural.

The grey line, of course, is that lower-level tech and magic (guns and swords, spoken-word spells, etc) can usually be picked up by anyone, but then it's up to you to decide which origin to use.

    Toon Name Game

    ReVision

    Illusion Control / whatever

Whatever the random button gives you for a costume.
  10. Tidbit Jr.

    Primary for SR?

Martial Arts gets mentioned a bit. That and maybe Dark?
  11. Erm, if this is a suggestion to add those types, I /unsign right now. The quantums are part of the reason I despise Kheldians.

As for the question itself: no, Soldiers face no inherent weakness nor have a mob trying to get the jump on them.
  12. Speaking of incomplete zone pieces, how's about that construction atop Steel Canyon? It was even shown on a map-poster (the one that came with the Good Vs Evil edition?) that there was supposed to be an addition to Steel Canyon...

I'm pretty sure rallying people to spam the devs is against the rules some how...
It would likely be considered "petitioning for a change," if memory serves.

    • An underling version of Arachnos Spiderling is still available.
  15. Y'know, I used to play the game with the mentality "click here to beat things up" and didn't read anything but the Trial Zone dialogue (Hollows, Faultline, Striga, Croatoa); but lately I've been reading as much contact dialogue as possible. It all kind of mixes because I can't tell which contacts are older than each other, but it's nice to be getting all these facts that I've been missing up until now.

I also found it interesting that by "updating" the Praetorian arcs (which I did read through the first time), they didn't just retcon it all.

EDIT: They should really pay the storywriting dev(s) overtime to play through every storyarc in the game before they write anything new.
  16. Aitchuu, you're kind of deviating away from the comfort-zone of the Mastermind skeleton... but maybe it's a good thing? Someone with more experience will come along and let you know on that.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to get both. Just that you'd have to choose which one you wanted more first. Like with the valentines event badges and costume pieces. You have to defeat Snappy over 5 times to get all the goodies.

Same should go for weapon unlocks. You get a choice, either the weapon (if you are a weapon user) or the costume piece.
Er, nevermind that then. I retract my statement, as I thought you meant only allowing one reward choice like a vet badge.

    Also, global unlocks FTW.
  18. Fury is built not only by the attacks you attempt, but also by the attacks foes direct at you. So, as long as you have foes attacking you, Fury shouldn't be an issue even with Granite slowing you down.

EDIT: of course, less foes means less Fury generation from them, but I assume if you need Granite that that means you are surrounded by a good enough number of them to build Fury.
  19. Perhaps the upgrade powers shouldn't be traditional enhancements to the henchmen's existing abilities, as with other sets, but instead a psychic-based, mentally-induced upgrade akin to what Mother Mayhem does to make her "children."
  20. Agreed: interesting idea, bad implementation.
  21. I like this idea, but I'm going to play devil's advocate here:

    1) wings/capes would no longer be blocked and would clip through it
    2) even with no endurance cost, it's another toggle to have to manage
    3) it would have to be a power pick to be customizable

Then you'd have a choice to make. Which do you want more for that toon?
/unsigned on making people choose between cosmetics

Bat Man never had to pick only Batarang or Bat Chest Detail. In fact, don't comic-book heroes usually have EVERYTHING on them bear the same symbol?
