  1. The music idea has been suggested before, though a bit differently. Still, an interesting idea.

Locked doors, though, I'd have to unsign on.
  2. Vivo en California, y por eso yo estudiaba el español en la escuela secundaria por cuatro años. Hay muchos hablantes de español aquí.

My counselor was actually going to put me in French at first. Best decision I ever made for a class change.
  3. All Nemesis plots are based on Zombie Man plots.

If there's going to be a list of legendary forum posters I nominate Jranger. A man so infamous rules are in place to redistrict us from even speaking his name. Rumor his say his name three times and he'll appear.
*sigh* I miss Jranger. Good times, good times...
  5. Heh, quite a parallel to Lusca in some ways. Giant sea creature attacks the 20-25 zone of the city, a port, and whatnot.
  6. Nope. Unfortunately you have to start in Praetoria and get to 20, then choose to be a hero, or start off as a villain and go Rogue to Hero.
  7. 1. Dunno'. Someone else will be able to answer this.
    2. Yes.
    3. You need to earn the option, but you don't need to go back to being a villain to take/respec into them.
    4. Nope.
    5. Nope.

Play on the power-button chest detail somehow.

So somewhere there's a universe of furry versions of all the signature characters?
    Yep... Earth-42
There also used to be a supergroup called the Feline Phalanx. Statesmeow, Pawsitron, etc. The group was made to celebrate one of COH's anniversaries, I think... otherwise that might have been the Mini-Freedom Phalanx.

That feels like so long ago...
  10. All the good one-word names are probably taken. Never hurts to try, though. How about...

    - Phaser
    - Antiproton
    - Converter
    - Entropy
    - reAction
    - Shifter
    - Manipulator

... yeah, I'm not so good at one-word character names. (Most of mine are fake compound words.)

EDIT: Also, welcome to the forums.

That of course assumes that each universe is unique (if only because of the position of a single subatomic particle) which isn't neccessarily true of course...
If there is one just for every difference in particle, you already can have infinite. A particle may be rotated 1/10000000000 of a degree to the left. Another one that seems exactly the same may be one ... one googlth(?) less or more rotated.

As the lawyers say, "absence of evidence is not evidence of absence."

This is not true. In the simplest terms, infinity does not make impossible things possible[...]
    Impossible, or just improbable?

There's always the chance that most of the heat in a pole moves to one end simply due to its random motion, and the other half is pretty much emptied out, but the odds of that are so unimaginably low that it's not worth betting on.

I had a very ... imaginitive physics teacher.
  13. The characters who don't need Sands of Mu are usually my melee characters who could one-shot the ghost anyways. Unless it's a boss, but that's not that much more annoying until it turns on that dark cloak thing...

    I also wish I'd known that Hasten's +recharge doesn't come with a compensating +recovery...
  14. I'm with Silver on this one. I always thought he was just a "Let's make a Half-Life reference" character. He even talks like G-Man. Just replace your characters name with "MIS...ter Free...man..."

  15. That the Ghost Slaying Axe isn't that great if you want something to add to your attack chain.

Took it once... now I only ever take Sands of Mu.

    ...

Sorry, what were we talking about?"
The multiverse is like one big Rule 34: if it can be thought of, it exists.

That's actually incorrect. An infinite number of universes does NOT mean that the one you want is out there somewhere.

Let's represent a universe where he's "Daddy Longleg" with an apple. Any other kind of universe we represent with an orange. As you can see, you can have an infinite number of oranges, and zero apples in the bunch.
But the more oranges you go through, the more chance there is that one of them mutated into an apple.

That's an AE arc right there.
You know, I was actually going to do that when Architect Entertainment was still only on test server, but I've never really been too interested in the system as a whole. Maybe I should pick it up as a personal project again?

Everyone likes to feel unique and special. Portal Corp is no exception.
They should make a game out of it:

We'll call ourselves Universe 1 since we found everyone else first.

Everyone else will be numbered in the order we found them. Rikti is 2, for example.

Pocket-universes will be numbered as a decimal of the universe in which their creator originated. So the Shadow Shard and Pocket D are 1.1 and 1.2.

If someone finds us before we find them, they get to be Universe 1, and everyone else (including us) will move down a number in line.

  19. The multiverse has a universe for every possible variable, they say, so there's an infinite number of universes in which Stefan lived, just as there are infinite in which he didn't.

Heck, there's even a universe in which Arachnos are the good guys, and Stefan is the ultimate hero with a name like... hmm... "Daddy Longleg!"

You know, it's odd when your fighting a mission entirely against the circle of thorns, and somehow, snuck between the mages, demons, and ghosts, is a techno-void stalker with a giant science-y gun.

    Bit of a disconnect, that.
That is also touched on in-game. There is a mission from one of the Kheldian contacts in which someone from a different enemy group (Outcasts?) is negotiating with a Council soldier who is supplying that group with Quantum Weapons / Void Hunters.

But then, why the Circle is that desperate as to ask the Council is still a mystery, knowing they have magic on their side...
  21. It may help to also think about the poison half of the character: is she throwing the poison (serums, chemicals, whatever they are) in beakers at the foe, does she have devices on her to carry and shoot them for her, or has she modified herself to be able to release them from her body like the animations?
