I don't understand what VIP Status has to do with anything? Secondly, it is a rather small button... that you can put literally anywhere on the screen. I fail to see how it is a problem.

Buuuut, if you are that opposed, there really should be a way to simply close the button out (like extra trays) and then a menu command to retrieve the button in case you change your mind.

Also... ParMar? Really, is it so hard to type out Paragon Market, or maybe just Marketplace, or some such... I hope this ugly abbreviation does not catch on.

(Looks like you skipped over Amerikatt's changes, Chyll, so I think I corrected for them properly to include your votes as well... which would be less of a problem if Amerikatt's changes weren't always in a quote box to begin with.)

Wow... no joking allowed in the PvP Forums, then? That comes as a... well... quite a shock.
  7. Why is he not a Vindicator? I mean, all of the other Phalanxer side-kicks are a part of it... why not the one guy who is associated with member of the Phalanx but not a member himself?

If you ask me, and you didn't, PLing people doesn't help anyone out at all... except in allowing folks to circumvent the intentional time sink of playing the game... not to mention the fact that you are skipping over a lot of fun stuff that can be had along the way. Call me a heretic, but I distinctly enjoy the first 20 or so levels of this game.

Wow... how low can you get? And no "woman" would say that. If the person is female, I would not deign to call her a "woman" but rather a more colorful term.
  11. When in doubt, Chyll, you can always just add up all the totals, and if you get 240, all is okay!

It helps to give the final totals.

  13. First, this should probably be in the Suggestions area of the forums... since that is precisely what this is.

    No.

Standard code rant applies. Also, Posi mentioned recently that to make the Shard CoOp would be a lot of work... and isn't really on the drawing board. I can't imagine it is easier to make it PvP.

However, this essentially makes me never want to enter the zone... and that's a shame since it's pretty.

Also, what of the Four TFs that start and run there? I don't believe you mentioned those.

I absolutely ADORE the Energy Mage's look... as for the others... well, I am not 100% happy, but I didn't expect to be, nor do I think that should change anything.

I guess what I am wondering now, is just what a whole room full of these guys is going to look like.

  16. Chyll, you just re-did the error with Manticore's total.

BTW, maybe a global -10 or 20 wouldn't be a bad idea at this point. This game might just take a very long time.

  19. Yeah, some kinda timescale like that is certainly doable... though I dunno if I have the tenacity to stay at it over that long of a timespan. Though, I have stayed on badges in general for a VERY long time. Maybe I will surprise myself.
  20. I have decided that every time I run a Terra Volta Trial, we will play 20 Questions or some other text-based game between spawns to pass the time. It really made the Trial fun. In fact, many of us stayed after to finish off a game that didn't quite get done by the time the Trial ended.

Well, I know I had a HUGE issue with leveling... I looked at every level up screen on my first character, over my first days of playing with a mixture of excitement and trepidation. I picked powers that sounded good to me, without really knowing what anything really did, and I constantly was thinking about having done it "wrong," but also I spent a good deal of my first power picks focusing on doing Damage since my first character was a Gravity Troller (and to me, needed to kill things faster... I had no idea that I had a "role" to play in a team setting). I also used all my TOs as well... I had no idea how little they did for me.

Oh, and by the way... the comments about spending an hour to get to Level 6 is a bit weird to me. When I first started, I think it took me an hour in the Tutorial just to learn how to MOVE around properly... You see, I had never played a game that required the use of the WASD keys to move my avatar before this one. Hell, I stared at the menus for prolly 15 minutes trying to figure out how to SAVE! I honestly think that I was in the Tutorial over 2 or maybe three play sessions. And then I spent a HUGE amount of time running around Galaxy City not exactly sure what I should be doing but afraid to team up since I was still learning and didn't want to inconvenience other folks with my ineptitude.

I guess you totally missed the part that caused my amazement... or are intentionally being obtuse to make me look more stupid than I would otherwise appear.

Also, to take on the statement above, it is not that I think new players are dumb... but more that they are ignorant of what things they may need to know, or remember in the first place. Also, I can't imagine most newer players have any idea there is a Test Server... I know I didn't learn about it until LONG after I had started playing (in fact, I didn't join the forums until months after I started playing... and didn't learn about Test until well after that).

Not really. The point in the UStream was to juxtapose the functionality of Inspirations NOW (you can pop a red and a yellow... but there is a cooldown in between) with how the dual inspirations work (you can pop a red/yellow at the same time... no cooldown at all).

the having someone kill you would prolly be efficient if you used the heavy spawn that was closest to your base while the droning method works for the spawn point closest to the enemy base, droning is very efficient if you have either yourself or a friend sbing the heavy
The getting killed method would work rather well if you were ALSO helping each other to get the badge for Killing Players.
