{Correction Post!}
A good deal of us have switched back to +/- 1, so either make a case for going back to +1/-2 or there are a lot MORE corrections to make!

Here's my list... I think. For me though, there is very little difference between number One for me, and number 12... so a few of these decisions were REALLY splitting hairs.
- Dominators
- Controllers
- Brutes
- Corruptors
- Stalkers
- Defenders
- Scrappers
- Soldiers / Widows
- Tankers
- Kheldians
- Masterminds
- Blasters

Quote:Yeah, I gotta agree that the insult is certainly NOT what I think of when I see that word.. I think of skateboarding and/or the usage of the word meaing "crazy, off the wall."Considering that I've never heard it mentioned as an insult until this thread, I'd say that the most common usage in this country is as a Blazing Saddles reference. And when I google it, the first few pages have only one reference to the insult version, and that's a Urban Dictionary link. There's also a restaurant chain, some kind of handicraft business, a Facebook page, and some kind of computer-related thing.
In fact, I have never heard the term used as an insult. Hell, I haven't heard the word "mongoloid" in many years. -

I guess I would enjoy the trial a lot more if two things happened:
a) The stoppage of time was made a bit more "fair"... it seems more like cheating than anything else in this game I have experienced... for multiple reasons
b) If there were ANY way to mitigate the damage of the pulses. It makes it seem as though you always need to be standing by a "Healer" or have a ridiculous number of greens on ya. That is not right.
But, let me also say, that I actually like running Keyes (though I have done it very little). It is hectic, and actually requires coordination (which is a double edged sword considering some people can't even be bothered to properly synch AV HP during a BAF without lots of verbal reminders). -

Been there, done that... except NOT quite so successfully. I seem to be cursed to run Lambdas in which folks can not understand how to use temps or give them to folks who will.

I have been lucky enough not to have any actual close calls with any type of disaster. I've had to hit the basement a few times due to tornadic activity, but none have ever gotten TOO close to me.
And... Durakken... do you live in some sort of mobile home or RV that you can "drive away" from a tornado? And do you also have zero ties to a community, family, job that you can so easily "just not live" someplace? Truly left field answers to this question. I should also note that I DARE you to be in the direct path of a tornado and NOT be freaked out by the experience, just seeing VIDEO worries me sometimes. -
Very good idea! I am not on board with the Alignment-esque splash screen, but a distinctive chime akin to the sound League chat or Team chat makes would be nice.

Hate to say it... but I have to agree here. Lots of folks seem to think that Incarnate Powers solve everything... but just taking a look at the level ranges for the WSTs should alert folks to the issues with that way of thinking.

Quote:You do realize, of course, that what you are describing here is the reason the attacks you mention were made that way in first place... right? That wasn't even really the point, it was just one example. The point is I was curious as to how people feel about magical damage types appearing out of thin air that we can't build resistance to. And even worse than that, even with beyond softcapped positional defense, it still doesn't matter. I guess these attacks aren't melee, ranged, OR aoe, so logically speaking I guess they don't exist at all! -_- And yet they'll ignore your stats and one shot you all the same.
The design intent is to force EVERYONE to adapt (read: change) to the way the iTrials toss things at you. If a character were able to just stand there and ignore the damage (regardless of IOs and money spent) then it would trivialize the content all the faster... you know, like the rest of the game.
Funny... isn't the mechanic of untyped, unresistable damage actually putting EVERY character on the same tier... thus equalizing the playing field? Which is what you seem to want. There is no character that has more of a chance to dodge that damage than any other, regardless of AT or anything else. It is up to the player to act in a way to mitigate the damage, no character is given an advantage. Can't get much "fairer" than that. -

Quote:This! Some should be glamorous. Some should be disgusting. Some should be misguided. Some should be mad. Some should be filthy gorgeous. Some should be doing the wrong things for the right reason. Some should be loyal to Arachnos. Some should be disloyal to Arachnos. Some should be loyal to only themselves, or a small band of others. Some should act on behalf of a higher calling. Some should act on behalf of ascending to that higher calling.
There's no, or shouldn't be, one path of villainy.
I think Sam is presenting a very narrow false dichotomy here. -

I think this is a bad idea. If too many Vets take advantage of this, there will be literally no one knowledgeable in the 1-22 Zones... and create the illusion that in order to play this game, you need to get to 22+ ASAP, making it all the more likely that new people will miss out on some of the great new content that is being created for those lower levels.
