To be honest that's one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard.
Either you missed the point... or you really don't understand what you are saying.

The POINT of the post you quoted was that if someone posts a suggestion, full of reasons, and logic and a definable well-rounded reason for a change to be made in the game AND a lot of players seem to agree on the forums, it is FAR more likely to recieve Dev attention. Juxtapose that with what you are doing: posting an unreasoned, unsupported suggestion in which you deliberately disregard criticism by stating you don't care what other players think.

How can you possibly think a Dev will look twice at your post?

    WHAT?

She doesn't think they will regard your post becuase you have no basis in fact, and no player support... how can that possibly be the reasons you think that it will? In what universe are those positives?

Only if you expect not to be taken seriously.
  3. That was a very well written tribute post, Turg. I didn't know Lord_of_Time well, but I certainly remember him from these here fora. He'll be missed.

There is no way in HECK that I will gift someone influence if they ask... only if they seem to be enjoying playing and indicate they are very new. Usually, this will occur while I am running a PUG, but sometimes it happens in other situations.

I suspect running the new Sewer Trial will be a great place to encounter these folks.

With my preferences in this game... this question, to me, presents a paradox.

One character... to do everything you could possibly want. That means, I need one character, to be LOTS of characters. The thing I like best in this game is character creation. So, I would need one character that could someone become all other characters, AND go back to Level 1 so that I could enjoy leveling it up.

He was being sincere: search is your friend... and please read these relevant threads that directly relate to your topic. (A topic that has been covered AGAIN and AGAIN for ages before you posted it.)

I believe the more PC term is "sexual orientation," which is also the term I prefer to use, since to me, saying "preference" implies a level of choice in the matter.
  10. That's almost 8 hours a day... you play this game as if it were your job!
    • Pointsphere: 972 Hours
    • Lost Emissary: 852
    • Schwarszpunkt: 716
    • Bioflux: 164
    • Ora Kahlu'u: 153
    • Truepath: 129
    • Skull-Force: 126
    • Agent Vermillion: 119
    • Drachenblut: 118
    • Operative Bulwark: 112
    • Plus other characters that are 100 or less that I didn't list

TOTAL: 3,461 Hours (or 144 Days) over about 48 Months
Which is about 72 Hours per month. Which comes out to be 21¢ per Hour, not bad for an hours worth of entertainment (though, it is actually less than that, since this list is NOT all inclusive).

The fact that he said "snake girls", to me, is asking for that option not because you'd love to play a Snake... but because of the costume on (or should I say not on) those Snakes... similar to the Sybil costume.

    Freedom? Hardly

I don't see a problem with the system exactly how it is. They are playing for FREE, as far as I am concerned, they shouldn't even be able to get to 50 á la Trial Accounts.

Agreed. If you can claim ANYTHING in this MMO is "hard work" it is either poorly designed or you, the player, are doing it wrong.

I have no idea. Honestly. No idea.
So, is CoH working for you, Agge, right now?

If not, see if you can't change the IP Address in the addcache.xml file from one ending in .4 to one ending in .88, with luck, that will fix it and save a re-install.

Yes... this is a big factor.

Join a server with a GOOD community that actively use a Global Channel... only team with folks in there that you think will be more of your style. Or, better yet, start a Casual global channel yourself and specify that its for folks who wanna have fun, blast **** and not get told how to play.

I will take a look for that file and return my findings here.

The file was in my Recycle Bin... and it had this in the 'addcache.xml' file: 64.25.36.4

My Live, and working version, had the .88 version.

NOW, the trick is to get someone actively having this problem to change that file... and see what results with log-in issues.

  18. Ummmm, that feature isn't new... it is unlocked with the 80-something month Veteran Reward on Live. I just ran an ITF with a dude who's title was black.

[Edit] 84 Months, to be exact. http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Vetera..._Month_Rewards [/Edit]
  19. Yeah, I think this annoys me the most when only ONE person does it... and this effect of annoyance is multiplied by the number of Crates/Tubes that need to be destroyed after one side or the other finishes.
  20. Yeah, I never saw any issue with him... but then again, I believe that period of time was shortly after I started and I did more lurking than posting at that time (I started sometime after the launch of i9).

Damn, wish I had... once I got the new install to work, I dumped the old Folder... what file are you looking for, it may still be chilling in the Recycle Bin.

And, I did send that PM to Television and Ghost Falcon... though I have no idea what if anything they did, or if those folks are even doing anything with coding or what have you.

    {BTW, I re-subscribed to this thread so that I will see any new info that comes up.}

    Cannot log in

You mean you can't log-in... or the Launcher doesn't open?

It seems like the second one: In which case, have you tried Ctrl+Alt+Del and seeing if a copy of the Launcher is already open and not responding? If it is, close it and try again.

Do you think that you would be able to successfully remake cities that work and are well laid out, lighting, engines, electricity, get water, dispose of waste, farm food and transport it to where it needs to be, create an economic system, military, etc that would work and how close do you think you could get to a modern city using just your knowledge?
No. And I don't believe that ANY one person could do this either. Civilization forms organically over time due to the infuluence of MANY people. No one person could do that and have it feel like any kind of actual society.
