Quote:Willing to bet this is it. Being able to see it at all seems like a bug.Maybe some behind the scenes bit of code that requires a 'token' before you can move out of the area and onto the next. Clicking the appropriate thing probably grants a token that clears you for the next, cueing the VoiceOver etc.
This is all speculation mind you. -
Ick... I am wishing there was a way to turn off the stupid thing. I still don't understand why we need a voice at all considering: 1) It isn't used anywhere else in the game, 2) It is displayed in text boxes that we will likely be able to read ourselves.

You must have some sorta preoccupation... no crotches are involved in the exit of Hazard Zones.

FYI, there is an errant apostrophe in your signature image, Mr. Bladex.

Quote:No, you can't. You can add it to your cart all day long, but you can't "buy" it.For example. I bought Beam Rifle. I can, now if I go back into the store purchase beam rifle again...and again, and again, and again.
However, as to the rest of your point... which I thought was very clear in the OP... I agree with you. I think you should be able to check a little box or something that says "Allow purchase of items already unlocked by VIP Status" that way, by default, folks wouldn't buy things they already have access to, yet could still be ready for when and if that account stops being VIP. However, I don't see this being an issue for me personally, if I have to go Premium, I will just play around with whatever options I have at that time knowing that I will eventually be VIP again and unlocking things will be a waste. -

Really? Is that based on some actual knowledge, or just a flat guess?
Why wouldn't they just go by subscription date the way Veteran Rewards used to work? -
Quote:I love fighting at Level 20. I must be crazy. To me, if I get a character ABOVE 20, I must be pretty dedicated to that character. I have, I think, 10 characters within 5 Levels of 20 on one server, and I love to play them all... which is why none of them are above that yet, I switch off.Exemping down can be fun, but NOT at level 20. If you enjoy fighting as a level 20 you have a twisted sense of "fun".
It feels very unheroic, boring, limited...why not just level a man build if you want that type of "fun".
Man build? What the heck is that? All my characters are male. -
Quote:Pretty much ditto... with a few exceptions. I usally make a point to be excited when some of the lesser valued powersets show up on my team... like Sonic users of any stripe, or Trick Arrow folks. And, I just rolled a Plant/Poison Troller... so I will likely notice Poison more as well. This is why I never say anything other than "Good job all" usually, because saying "Great Heals" or "Excellent damage" is just silly if there's a few debuffers or buffers on the team.
The only time I comment otherwise is if I notice something ridiculous in my Combat Attributes, then I'll say things like "Woo! I'm at the Resistance Cap" or "Hey, my defense is 150" (that happened with my Fort and a Vengie casting bubbler on the team)
Quote:Then sit back and *don't* do anything. Suddenly... people notice. -
I am a bit confused as well. My account goes from the 18th to the 18th. And, as such, I woulda thought that after I spent all of my points (a day or two after the Headstart Started), that I would have gotten more points recently. What IS odd, is that I got an additional reward token, and an additional Server Transfer token not that long ago.
I am wondering if they rolled an extra 400 PP into the launch amount for folks whose dates happened close to the release of the Headstart? Unless someone enlightens me, I may just send a /petition to figure it out. -
As for the topic at hand? I am not mad because they didn't just add a way for people to buy their way into the Veteran System... they completely re-designed the system. I mean, before you had to be around for 3 months, which means if you wanted to buy a Veteran Reward, to me, it woulda been like $45 each. Now, everyone gets a Reward monthly, a special "Time Only" badge each year that you can't buy, and folks get a BONUS (I really do see it as a bonus... NOT the ability to buy Veteran Rewards) Reward Token everytime they buy 1200 points in the store.
Quote:I was involved in the thread he mentioned... his characterization of some, was NOT that much of an exaggeration.I find it particularly hilarious when people like you go so overboard when describing people disagreeing with you.
This. I see the OP's post as nothing but an "I told you so! Neener neener neeeeeener!!! You should be so mad!!" post. -

Hmmmm, powers that annoy me?
The sounds on some of the Beam Rifle powers I find very grating. I am actually considering taking advantage of the ability to Silence specific sounds, something that I have never even briefly considered before.
I will add my vote to the "Sonic Hula Hoop" power as well.
Healing powers. Pretty much all of them. I absolutely HATE having to watch other players' health bars so that I can use a power effectively. I will probably NEVER play Empathy or Pain Domination as a result. Other sets that only have ONE heal are okay, because I don't feel as if as much of my job is healing... I suppose that is why I love Trick Arrow so much on my newest Defender, and why I prefer to have sets like FF on my MMs so that I don't have to watch my pets' HP as much either.
I love these powers. I can't even begin to count how many times [Detention Field] has saved my bacon as a solo player on my Grav/FF... or how often it has made challenging content a breeze when I am duo-ing. A friend of mine and I took down all the the RV AVs (2 or 3 at a time) just the two of us... and it was made possible by me caging the AV we weren't fighting yet.
Quote:Icicles - this should be cold damage, not lethal, although I can see why someone could argue this. If it stays, give it some slow, like Quills. Still irritates me though. -
Quote:WOW, good to know, my Grav/FF just got a lot happier and more useful for that Trial.Adding to this: in the Underground trial, you can cage the regenerating Lichens during the battle with the LIWW. That's a heck of an easy way to cut off some of it's regen. If you have two bubblers with DF, pull the LIWW to the corner, and it should be a relative breeze.

Test Rat, that is a stupid question.
I fail to see how the power of one set has any bearing on the playability of another set that looks and acts totally differently.
Concept, friend... character concept. -
Quote:I have a male Widow... errr HAD. Also, buttcapes are STILL gender-locked to females.i have only ever seen one male widow in game. maybe they are more popular elsewhere, but at least on liberty they are a rarity. Did male wids ever get buttcapes? females have them, but i recall at the time, it was female only.

Read the EULA, it isn't gonna happen, so stop expecting it.

Actually... this could be a really good idea. Especially since all arcs are stored locally on one's own computer. This COULD encourage story writers to fix the things that are broken in their arc and re-publish it in the "proper" spot.
However, I think the "Farm" section should likely be suggested as "Non-Story Arcs," that way the Devs aren't coming across as if they condone farming... but it would be a pretty specific nod in their direction. -
All I have to contribute (after those well thought out posts above), is to be careful with your costume, name, and character description. It would suck to go through all the work to get it all just the way you like it, and for you to get Generic-ed because you "ripped off" a copyrighted intellectual property.
