Interesting proposal... but "Wand Mastery" seriously needs a different name. As it is, well, it is rather comical.

Not just you, Arcanaville... I read it the same way and chuckled.

I have moved the Help channel to ONLY my Help tab... that way, when I feel in the mood to help folks out and answer questions, I switch to that tab, otherwise, I don't look at it.
I pay WAY more attention to the global channels for the various servers I play on. Also, I didn't get a chance to play yesterday, and likely won't tonight until like 8ish PM... I wonder how I will feel about the newcomers? -
Gotta agree... Beam Rifle produces the only sounds in the history of the game I have considered locating so that I can Silence them using that stuff folks in that ancient thread do.
Also, FYI, Baka... You can use [quote=Name] to include the names War Witch and BAB in your signature quotes without taking up the extra space... heck, you could even put the extra comments in there... though you may need to put the name in quotes then.
(WOOT, post ending in 37! I win!! Don't ask me what I win, 'cause I don't know.) -
My boyfriend and I have been toghether for... *begins doing math... and counting on fingers* ... When did the third Matrix movie come out? Ahem. We've been together for 8 years this November.
He and I have been playing this game for over 4 years of that time together, it's been great fun.
Glad to see other folks are in a similar sort of gaming/relationship bliss. -
*rolls eyes*
Really? It's a freaking trailer. It is in their nature to do things that aren't EXACTLY do able, or in the case of movies, to show things in a way just off from what actually happened.
Also, I don't think it implied PvP... I think it was simply more compelling to show a player-created villain using powers than instead to show a generic NPC doing the same. I mean, the trailer got to represent all three sides in one scene... backdrop is Praetoria and heroes are being attacked by villains. That is pretty much the premise of the game right now, nevermind that a player-made villain was standing in for an NPC.
I liked the trailer. I over-analyze EVERYTHING, and I had no problem with it as it is.
Also, LOL at the fact that it was implied that the trailer as it is breaks some law. WOW! -
Yeah, I gotta say, based on this kinda attitude, I don't think the developers need to pay attention one iota.
@Zwill: Thank you for posting such a kindly worded post regarding your knowledge of such issues. -
What issue with Reactive?

For someone like me, who has more Inf than he knows what to do with... and doens't really use IOs at all (except on a few characters), A-Merits don't seem like much of anything. I would MUCH rather play Vigilante/Rogue than pure Hero/Villain. I guess I just make far too many characters to worry about IOs on most of them since I basically stop playing a character once it hits 50 (except my Badger).

In my mind, NO real world discussion that are outside the genre of comics/heroes/gaming should be occurring on these forums. Personally, if I want to be reminded of a disaster, or the anniversary of a world event, or the impending release of Stupid Chick Flick 7, I need only look at the News. These forums are a place to go to enjoy the rich culture (and people) that this game has created and/or brought together. Leave the real world where it is.

Control and Ranged, I can see... but not Melee. No matter how many melee powers a Dominator might have, that is simply not the role that they fulfill on a team in the classical sense. When one thinks, melee, one thinks of a Scrapper... does a lot of damage, and can stand up on his own in melee range. Doms are great, don't get me wrong, (and many can hold their own in melee), but that isn't their primary role.

I think the folks HERE will be able to offer you the best help.

I will take a look at my characters when I get home, I play almost exclusively on Justice.

Dialogue.
Lots of it, both what is said to be coming from my character and what is being said to him, conflicts with the character's personality or fundamental lack of humanity. I pretend a lot of it isn't there and make up my own reasons for being in the warehouse or cave, etc.
One good example is my part-Devouring Earth Praetorian. He is well aware of a lot of things going on in good old Praetoria simply by virtue of his... parentage (for lack of a better word). As such, some of the 'mystery' isn't all that mysterious to him.
Other examples include characters, like my Batman-esque Stalker who owns a prestigious science and technology company. Lots of things reference you needing or otherwise depending on the contact for one thing or another, mostly, he doesn't.
And of course there are the characters that are a current or former member of one enemy group or another that are never acknowledged as such while they play the game. -
Quote:Pretty much a horrid idea.Anyways it's pretty straight forward put Incarnate Threads and Shards on the Paragon Market. Looking forward to what yall think! Is this a good idea, I think its great Hope you guys do too!
Powers, especially ones as powerful as the Incarnate ones, should NEVER be purchasable. Period. -
Yes, there is only one non-Incarnate Trial until Halloween... when there will be a Halloween-themed Trial.

Quote:I have no idea... I didn't comment on those... and have never thought about that eventuality. I do support suggestions that they be made into a Toggle.Would you have a problem with phase powers if they were just made into a placate effect?
Quote:Also, next on the list - make ice blast all lethal damage. Got it.
That is rather different. You are speaking of many different powers as if they are all the same type of thing... which they are not. -
Also because people like to point out said flaws rudely... on occasion.
