Posi looks a lot more friendly with a beard.

Both of those could be okay... but I would go with an Assault/Defense (with Hide) AT and maybe a Melee/Support Pets AT. The first would be a great place to do a Gun/Sword combo, kinda like a Spy AT. And the second would be an AT that used Pets to mitigate damage and recieve buffs to itself and debuffs to the enemies in place of armor.

Quote:Is that a serious request... or are you just tossing out an overly-optimistic thought for the heck of it?Also, I'd like if these guys could be added to give badge credit for Visonary.
Either way, that really would make it a ton easier to obtain said badge... but it is specifically for Overseers, so I don't see that happening (HA, a pun). But, it could be justified by changing the badge wording a bit since all the Rulu-Shin have multiple eyeballs on them... Maybe make the badge requirement to kill 100 of any combo of Rulu-Shin or Eyeball enemies (Minions, Lts. or Bosses). -
Well... Staff Fighting is on the way... also, there is Titan Weapons... and new sets promised for Dominators (not sure if that means new Control or new Assault sets or both).
-
Sorry dude, that's untrue... at least in my case. I never have issues finding names I like anymore. And I play on the third and fourth most populous servers (at least they were... not sure where they rank since Freedom launched).

Ahem... so how about them eye-ball gloves?!
-
I think they personify what they are very well. Granted that I would not pick those colors voluntarily, but similar colors are what actual Rularuu look like, so I think they do the job rather well.
-
I really don't see how we would "draw" in this game... it seems far too action oriented to force a player to have to draw specific designs, much less replicas of enemies... or run around them in a circle to activate an effect. And what of flying enemies when you character has Super Speed?
I see a LOT of issues with this coming to fruition. -
Quote:This is the EB...played through the arc last night. yeah we would really be well served by getting these. since my main is a dragon, i REALLY want those shoulder spikes from the eb (and they do appear to be shoulder details, as he also has a celestial back detail.) chest detail and gloves are cool too, but oh those shoulder spikes with the back parts..drool.
And it looks like they are chest spikes, not shoulder ones. -
Quote:They are used by an AV from the Warriors during the Mortimer Kal SF (almost, there is a glow added).Weird. My eyes must've been playing tricks on me. I distinctly remember seeing the Mutant gloves somewhere on someone. Concerns lifted. Bring on the Rularuu stuff then.

Yeah...
1) It isn't that easy to make Knockback go away... especially since KD is a form of Knockback, and those powers would make it stop working.
2) Why the heck should there be a power that makes your Fear powers stop working?
3) Why is the +Def bigger than the +Res considering you need MORE Res to be equivalent to Def?
4) I don't think there SHOULD be a way to make KB just go away, learn to use it, or don't take those sets. -
Quote:I sincerely hope that never happens, sorry to disappoint. I am steadfastly opposed for things that are obtainable via game-play to ever become available for purchase. The VG pieces were released as a perk to everyone for a set amount of Loyalty... so in that case, I guess the selling is alright to level the playing field. As such, if they Roman pieces were made into a similar free account-wide perk first, I would be fine with them going up for sale later... as long as something unavailable in the game were included with said pack (i.e. the Mini VG Robot).I wonder if the powers that be would consider selling them on the market as they did for the Vanguard pieces. It would be nice to be able to use them from creation instead of waiting until late in one's career to use them.
So, to differentiate my argument from Evil Geko (and yet still agree with him... which is kinda scary... AGAIN), is that allowing things that were once only available via game-play to be bought makes the running of said game-play lose value. Therefore, people who only play the ITF for the costumes, will see no reason to do it anymore... as long as they have the cash that is. Which, of course, brings up another argument; one I shall abstain from now that this game has gone Hybrid. -
In looking more closely at the Rulu-Shin, they do actually use totally different gloves, they are just similar to the Mutant ones. The actual gloves they use are far spikier... sharper-looking.

Quote:Isn't that the same thing?I see it the other way. It's not a monetary way to get around gameplay. It's a Gameplay option to attain something that you would otherwise have to pay for.
Quote:The devs may be hesitant to offer a free in-game method of unlocking a costume piece that is 80% identical to a paid one. On the other hand, I as a consumer would feel a bit cheated at paying a mark-up for the those gloves when I already own the Mutant Pack, essentially paying just for the Rularuu eyeball. -
Quote:I am not sure how that would really be a problem, per se...The only awkward part is that the eye-gloves are modified Mutant Pack gloves. I think this is the first time this sort of odd overlap has occurred, so I'm not sure how they might handle it.
Quote:The chest detail, back detail, and I believe shoulder details? Totally originally and totally want.
I gotta disagree with this. Either it is a game activity that unlocks something (in this case a badge for costume bits) OR it is a purchase that unlocks something. I am very much opposed to money being used to circumvent game activities. -

Quote:I suppose not, but, then again, I am no artist. I dabble... and I only spend time dabbling when I am having fun with something... the more restrictions, and the more things I have to do with a project, the less fun it becomes. But that's just me.This counts as a lot of work? I know people here are obsessed with commissions, and no disrespect to Thirty-Seven, but this isn't a painstaking week long commission.
Also, thanks for the compliment. -

Quote:Concept doesn't bug me at all here... my main Hero is sorta a jerk who would prolly just shrug it off. This is why I don't join LGTFs anymore. I got blindsided with this and it upset me. As Tony says, I know they're not real, but concept alone bothers me.
What bugs me about that, is it seems like a cheap way to save time. And I don't like feeling like I cheated in order to win... even when I am on a villain. It's a game, and feeling cheap or cheaty makes it un-fun for me. -

If you have done the newest Signature Story Arc: Who Will Die (Part 2 of 7)? then you have seen the Rulu-Shin. And, as long as you are not insane, you thought they looked nifty. I make a simple suggestion: Give those new pieces (especially the chest and glove eye-ball ones) to the players for use on their characters.
That is all!
(Well, almost... for those who pay too much attention to things I have said elsewhere, this will mark a departure from past comments about uniqueness of NPC costume bits... I have changed my mind. Simple as that.)

Who the heck is "mew" and why can't you say "I"?
