Does anyone have a "child gibberish" to English translator?
-
To piggy-back off what Sam is saying, sorta, it makes me laugh that people talk about Death (Grim Reaper) when a scythe gets brought up... because he wields the actual farming impliment to symbolize the end of a season and the reaping of crops... aka death, the end.
Of course, Death the biblical Horseman wasn't given a weapon at all in the original text, the only horseman not to be specifically depicted as holding anythging in fact.
Unless a powerset is created that makes use of a scythe-like weapon fights as fluidly as Zasalamel, I am opposed to its inclusion as a customization option. However, I feel that this set would be too niche and won't happen. I am can't say that would dissapoint me at all. -

Quote:You do of course realize that not everyone celebrates Christmas, and some use Happy Holidays as a true plural: referring to Christmas and the New Year festivities. So, to refuse to acknowledge "Happy Holidays" and stick with Merry Christmas, is a bit closed-minded and unnecessarily confrontational to those who don't celebrate the holiday.Nope. I LOVE Christmas. That's why I refuse to pander to the happy holidays ********.
I do, but I still say "Happy Holidays," I feel it is inclusive. -
Quote:Umm, NO AT has two inherents... your suggestion is to ADD another inherent to tanks? That wasn't made clear. I took this as a replacement for Gauntlet.I think one key thing people are forgetting here is Gauntlet. A Tanker's attacks do AOE threat, multiple that by this new damage mechanic and a couple of hits and the spawn will be focused on you.
Yes you could theoretically have a really good Brute Taunt the group, maintain aggro and then do that... or you could just play Tank and invite a Blaster and do the same thing much easier? -

The more badges you have, the harder it is to continue to get new ones... because by nature, most folks put off the "hard ones." The ones I have left on my badger are PvP badges, Mayhems, some that require a side-switch to get (the new ones for OTMs), a bunch of Mo, etc.
My badger is on Justice, so I can't speak for Exalted at all (I refuse to play on that server) but I don't really have an issue getting a team together to do most anything I want over there... just have to do it when a bunch of people are on which requires a bit of time-zone knowledge, is all.
I would guess that lots of folks already HAD their badges before moving to Exalted... but I could be wrong. -

Quote:Don't bother to apologize, you have no need... Snowglobe is just being overly possessive of something he really has no claim to.I apologize for stealing your thunder. I had no idea I was going to get this kind of reaction from posting a simple badge list. If I had known that you intended to post it later today, I would not have done so myself. And if it helps any, I certainly won't be posting any lists in the future.

Awfullly demanding for an activity that is supposed to be fun, isn't it? I would also think that the OP (you) would get the ball rolling.

You expect people to pay for names? Wow! Apparently you haven't seen the thread dedicated to free name trades?
-
First off, let me be clear, I agree that a thread title is a poor place for that particular information...
But I think it is odd that you keep saying "your community," aren't you a part of that community merely by playing the game and/or posting here? You seem to be saying you aren't a part of all this somehow... which is either elitist or bizarre. -
Quote:It's a great comic... everyone should read it!Someone's been reading CAD.
(Also, fixed your post.)

....Nine power trays and only a single open slot? WOW!

The running of that trial is secret... it is strictly... underground.

Quote:Fixed... to apply to me. See how that works?I am a homosexual male. I like hot guys. I like hot, scantily-clad guys. I like superheroes and villains who are both hot and scantily clad. I sometimes, but not always, like the characters I play in City of Heroes to be hot, scantily-clad superheroes or villains.
I am all for having more costume options for guys.
In my mind, men are vastly more attractive than women. They need more clothes to accentuate that attractiveness. I like buying clothes for them.
You may not share my opinions or tastes. However, I'm a VIP subscriber. My male characters receive far more attention than my nonexistent female characters when it comes to costumes. When I make the decision on whether or not to purchase a costume item or pack, I'm not nearly as concerned about the female models as I am the male models.
COH Artists and Developers: Please include VASTLY MORE costume pieces for male models than you do female models. More accessories, shoes, boots, and costume items. The more attractive, the better. Scanty is okay, I guess. Sheer and lacy items are right out. Shiny is fantastic. -

Quote:This confuses me mightily. A TF comes along that forces you to have Alpha slotted or you suffer a penalty... wait, they want you to be MORE powerful or else they make your weaker-than-an-Incarnate character weaker still?Personally, I think this artificial limitation is stupid, and essentially says "slot your Alpha or mooch." Then the trials come along with that participation metric that tells you mooching isn't allowed....huh?
Juxtapose that with the fact that you can walk onto an Incarnate Trial the moment you turn 50 and begin to unlock your Alpha slot with, well, very little actual penalty (and the "anti mooch" mechanic you speak of doesn't really do anything as long as you try).
It just doesn't make a lick of sense. -
I like the fact that the bio space is short. It forces folks to get creative with what is written in a limited area. I know that I have written some things that I never would have thought of without the enforced limitation.
The devs have talked numerous times about the vast amount of data that is stored on a per character basis... up to and including limiting other areas. I doubt there is motivation to increase what is stored for free. -
Might I direct you all to a thread I made about the Rulu-Shin costumes the SAME DAY that I played the relevant SSA?
I was so stoked I believe I made the thread while I was still playing the ARC! I am so glad to hear that no one important noticed it.

Let's not derail this thread with a pointless argument over what this thread is about. If David stops responding to a given train of dialogue, you can bet its for a reason. No need to have in-fighting over what is acceptable. This thread has already gone pretty far afield of concept art discussion as it is.
